Taste of Tibet in Sidhpur, Dharamshala, offers a unique blend of Tibetan atmosphere and delicious Chinese cuisine. I've personally explored both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on their menu, and I can confidently say there's something for everyone. Their vegetable platter, while decent overall, could benefit from fresher fried veggies. However, the momos and spring rolls, both ordered separately and as part of the platter, were absolute showstoppers!

On the non-vegetarian side, the chicken momos truly shined. Made with fresh chicken, a rarity in even high-end establishments, they were bursting with flavor. Unfortunately, the thukpa fell short, lacking the depth and richness I expected. It felt more like plain water, necessitating some personal adjustments. Additionally, the lack of shakes during my visit left me settling for a simple Pepsi, albeit the classic glass-bottle Lehar variety.

Despite its somewhat secluded location, Taste of Tibet's charm manages to attract tourists from far and wide. I myself witnessed visitors from different states enjoying their meals on my last visit. The bright green walls evoke a sense of Tibetan tradition, and while an outdoor seating area would be a lovely addition, the breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar mountains, even if just glimpsed from inside, create a truly magical atmosphere.

Overall, Taste of Tibet is a solid choice for a delicious and immersive Tibetan food experience in Dharamshala. While a few misses like the bland thukpa and limited beverage options exist, the fresh ingredients, flavorful momos, and charming ambiance make it a worthwhile destination for foodies and travellers alike. I certainly recommend it for a satisfying meal and a taste of Tibetan culture in the heart of the Himalayas.

Quiet ambience. Simple aesthetics and fantastic food and service. Very friendly host as well. Had the crispy vegetables, steamed momo and sliced pork tossed with veggies. The portions are generous and sufficient to serve two. Tenzin was an excellent host. Too hungry to take pictures this time. I know I'm going back there very soon.

Great place, amazing and delicious tibeaten, indian, Chinese cousins offered at great price, I must recommend to visit here for delicious food.

This place has been on my list for long. And hence had attempted to visit twice. On my first visit, I was absolutely in awe of
their mutton momos and veg momos. They are to die for especially the former. However I feel the Thupka could have been little warm. By the time we had finished the thupka, it came down to room temperature.
Anyway, Totally loved the Food quality and the service.

Coming to my second visit to this place,
On the very recommendation of the waiter (who was quite sweet but lacked proper communication skills),
We had ordered the steamed whole chicken with ginger which was paired with tingmo. The food was very disappointing and wasn’t worth the price we paid.

Overall my experience here on Taste of Tibet is good
Would totally recommend trying Mutton momos and veg cheese momos.

If you need a good place to sit then you should go, but if you want to eat something you ll be disappointed.worst shapta timo i ever tasted.

Please try their delicious spinach cheese momos! I also tried their tradicional Indian food which was amazing. The food was so good that I forgot to take pictures. The staff is super nice. If you visit Norbulingka area, definitely you should try their food.

Best in test, great service, staff is best and also suggest as per requirement of test and food, I wish if I have same hotel in Pune. Love tibetian test.

Basically i m from punjab.but i tried tibtian food which was really amazing.i personally suggest to visit there if you have taste buds like me

A must recommended place in Dharamshala for authentic Himalayan momos. We visited this place for lunch and dinner, and do not regret finding this gem of a place. It has ample parking. Staff is courteous. We had mutton momos (pan fried and steamed) - both were juicy and oh so yummy. Ambience is decent. On my request, they prepared chai and that was also awesome. We had gravy chicken and tandoori rotis for dinner. Gravy was lip smacking and rotis were crisp. Best part - it is affordable and they play great old music. I will surely visit this place whenever I am in Dharamshala and you should too!

Somokaso family from England. After 10 years I visited India in Dharamsala. We had very good meal in Taste of Tibet near Norbulinga insitiue. It was very good meal and I will be really visiting again once I come to Dharamsala.

We wanted to taste Tibetan style Momo and for our expectation we got a best one! Order takes time but you won’t surprised if you’re stationed in HP every restaurant takes same approach!

Ambiance is good and sound mixing.

I am Gecheling Tenzin Phunzok From Switzerland. I was in Dharamsala in Month October (2022). I was Once had get togethor with my friend and had meal in Hotel Taste of Tibet near Norbulinga Dharamsala. There i find service very good and people working there were very polite and helpful. The meals were very fresh and delicious and all cuisines are available. I recommend you all once you come to Dharamsala Go and visit Taste of Tibet hotel i am sure it will be worth it.

Hello folks, don’t go to this restaurant.kitchen is very dirty. I went there thrice and I got cockroach in my food. Soups are terrible. My suggestion is if you don’t want to get food poisoning pls avoid this terrible place. If still you have want to risk your life then pls look very carefully when you have food.

Great food! Great service! I tried the kothe momos and the thenthuk and they were divine! Will definitely visit again!

This is a small restaurant situated near Norbulingka institute. The outside appearance was not very pleasant but we did not have any other option so went in. Inside was slightly better and the team was friendly.
Food when served was astonishingly amazing and the portion was good. Though it took some time for food to come, but we ended up having 3 days of dinner continuously at this place. Simply great meal and great taste.
Caution for everyone: order with precaution as portion size was good.

Man! I was too excited about this place after reading its reviews but it did not meet my expectation at all. First of all they have limited staff and when we placed order they said that it would take 40 mins to prepare as if they did not wanted to host us. But we still waited and food came in 30 mins. Food was cold and not tasty.

One of the best place in Dharamshala for trying Tibetan cuisines. All the items are delicious and you won't regret trying it even if not accustomed with Tibetan food. Ambiance and seating space is also nice.

Tried there potato cheese momos and chicken fried momos.the food was decent and service was slow.

A must visit place if you dig tibetian food in general, spinich cheese momos are a delight if you are a vegitarian to go with mushroom lemon coriander soup.

Largely empty when I went. The food was ok. It is tucked into a corner with ample parking space which is the highlight. Decent place to sit down for a meal and a conversation.

Has great food and the location right next to Norbulingka is a great plus. They should invest a little more and have trained manpower on their cash counter who treat the guests with a little bit more respect. Illegal discrete drinking of alcohol inside should be curtailed.
