Tenzin Camps

Tents with hot water and heater at dining place. The coldest place in whole spiti trip. Tents are clean and services and Food is very good.

The tents are really clean and the facilities are also good for a campsite.
Unfortunately my stay was not good because
- they don’t switch of the light during night that it is possible to see the stars like it should be
- dinner was very last 8: 45 pm
- dinner tent was really smoky from the fire inside
- there was a bus who started during night (4: 00 am) the engine (at least 30 minutes) and caused some additional noise like an alarm (the staff should have done something)
- general noise during the night by people (the staff should have done something)
- the „taxi“, drivers, bus started really early the engines that they get warm. I don’t expect the noise from a big city traffic jam in the morning at 4.300 m. It should be peaceful and quiet.

There also have been other things which I will not list.

I had a bad night and was really tired the next days

My go to camp in Chandratal. Tashi is a great host and his friend Bali who manages the places will make your stay enjoyable if you have conversations with them. They have many stories to share which will make your stay memorable. Great food and they have swiss camps with attached washroom. The staff is very polite and helpful and will make sure to make your stay comfortable. This has been my second trip there and i without any doubt go for Tenzin camp. Tashi will go a step ahead in making sure your journey in Chandratal becomes enjoyable. For any issues in Chandratal, even not staying in his camp, he is the go to person.
Best time of my trip was the late night conversation with Tashi and Bali

Tezin Camp is the best camp in chandratal, very good behaved person, good food, good ambiance.

The campsite is very pretty, and the tents are comfortable. Water supply is adequate in the attached toilet. Food is yummy abd has a variety of dishes.there's complimentary hot tea and kahwa available for guests all the time. There's a tandoor in the dining tent to keep you warm. Driver accomodation is complimentary. To reach chandrataal camp from here, you need a driver to drop you around 8km away and, from there you walk another 2km on foot to reach the lake. At night, if the skies are clear, you can gaze at a million starts and get a view of the milky way

I had amazing experience and would recommend people to stay there. The owner Tenzin is so humble and welcoming, as well as whole staff. Amazing food and very comfortable stay. Would definitely visit the place again

Horrible treatment given to me and family by the staff. Very rude and unhelpful behaviour. Simple queries like availability of hot water for washing of hands was replied "No need to wash hands. No one does it here". The staff was drinking and enjoying and we as guests were constantly pestered to finish meal early so that they can wind up. On being confronted for rude behaviour we were denied food and threatened to be thrown out of tents. We finally shifted to parasol camp. In morning I complained to HP police staff with particular reference to staff head named Sonu. I don't think so any sane person should choose to stay here. But if you still wish to stay be prepared to be treated in rude manner and below average facilities.
