Incredible vibe.perfect place to chill and eat.we tried pancake which came with cream, maple syrup and fresh fruit. Quantity justifies the pricing. Awesome place amazing ambience and splendid taste.
Their food is delicious (loved the hummus platter and the blueberry pie), fast Wi-Fi, adorable decor, great vibes all around! Hidden gem upstairs that I 10/10 recommend!
This place has fast service and decent food. It wasn’t very crowded on Sunday afternoon (when everything else was jam packed) and the portions and pricing is good. Would recommend trying the chowmein and Hong Kong style gravy and even the vegetarian steamed momos. Only negative - can improve on the hygiene a tad.
Went there after going through reviews. But shockingly the food was pathetic and more than that the response by the staff when we gave our feed back about the taste and texture was depressing.
Seems like their top priority is making money than satisfying customers and providing them good food.
Really horrible experience, Try avoiding this place, as there are plenty of other options around the place.
Went with great expectations and came out with bad feeling. I rarely put review unless it leaves a lasting impact. This is probably one such instance.
Two gents sitting next to us ordered Thupka - I could hear them saying it's totally bland. They asked the waiter to provide some sauce. Waiter kindly informed the lady-in-charge who assisted with set of sauces and I heard her saying "this is how we make Thupka". 2 minutes later I see those two guys walking towards cash counter to pay. I asked what were they eating and should I order it - one of them said without a flinch that it's tasteless. I inquired if he knows how an authentic Thupka tastes like - to which he said "plenty of time I have been to Dharmshala and had it, if the owner doesn't like us we won't come back". While walking out he said - do try the bakery though, it's good. To which we obliged and ordered 1 blueberry cake and 2 chocolate cake pieces. Later was good.
A group of 3 young people came and sat on the other side of us. They ordered some shake. I notice after a few sip all of them decided to call the waiter to ask for some sugar as the shake was less sweet. The lady-in-charge came to inform they add honey not sugar to which the youngsters said add honey. No issue. The lady-in-charge grinded her teeths.
Our order - with high hopes we ordered a few things, I ordered Pad Thai but I got some slimy spicy noodle with corn and ketchup. Puzzled I didn't knew what to do other than asking people in my group to taste if they like. Nobody liked the looks let alone the taste. We had 5-6 other orders billing Rs1890, way more than what I would expect to pay for the quality of food that was served. Curiously, I asked if the lady-in-charge knows how Pad Thai is made? To which she replied "this is how we make it". Without me asking if she would charge for food that someone won't eat - she somehow expected this question and answered "we have put efforts making it and I will charge for it". Since she opened the money topic - I asked "would you consider replacing it with some other food that is edible". She bluntly said "you can order another item but Pad Thai will be charged as well". We finished our food at our leisure (except me), paid and walked out.
I got disheartened by the behaviour of lady-in-charge. Food was anyways bad, but it's normal to encounter both tasty and not so yummy food when you travel
Price: High $$$ for the food standard, taste.
Business is about money but when someone is in food serving business - I believe it is also important that your customers don't go out empty stomach.
Excellent wood fired pizzas but all other is just ok, including Tibetan dishes. Rating 2 star because the Tibetan waiter was needlessly rude, other wiaters were good.
So we were here with reference of my family friends and enjoyed food and drinks over there momos wood fire oven pizza and some drinks We recommend people visit ones you will love the place n food too.
The place looks great. That's it. Zero hospitality. You have to shout excuse me everytime you need something like water, place and order. The food is average or just below average. I would say it's 'No bad'. We came with family to have food but left after having few drinks.
The owner or waiter I do not know but she was very rude so we just left this place without even eating anything, now do not even care what the food is like
We reached here around 9 pm.not much of a crowd.ordered our white sauce pasta, hot and sour soup. Soup was more of a average thing. With their pasta lacking enough gravy.with no vegetables added in it. Just had a query with the bill about the water bottle charging more than its MRP. But the response of the owner was a sheer disappointment. I sincerely hope the manager would learn some manners and sort every discussion with a warm response.
I had a breakfast here on a wintery morning. I had channa poori and a cappuccino. It was really tasty. Staff was well mannered and really sweet. 5/5 recommend
I was a little confused whether to come here or not after reading a lot of negative reviews but we tried it anyways. We had chilly pork fry and Nepali Mutton thali. I can’t say about any other dishes but the pork and specially the thali we had was heavenly. If you are also confused, take my word and try it. Happy Eating ️
I have gone to four times in the past decade and I always go to clay oven. They have maintained the quality and taste of the food. Love the ambience, it has got a rustic feel to it. People are really cordial, nominally priced menu and convenient location. It's one of the best restaurant in mcloedganj for asian cuisine, it even has amazing collection of cakes and pies.
Our all time favourite restaurant whenever we visit MacLeod! Must try a few specialities viz. Ginger lemon honey tea, blueberry cheesecake, local pizza, nepali thali.
Awesome restaurant for everyone and the best in whole Maklodganj 100% guaranteed and the people are very polite and kind. On Christmas day they gave my friends the chocolate balls for free. The food is authentic and delicious and very innovative style presentation also. U must try it once.
After reading some good reviews about it online me and my family decided ti have our brunch here. We ordered A manchow shoup along with some unique handcrafted dimsums and a pad Thai. Their pad thai was unfortunately even less craftful and authentic than a chow Mein from a local roadside vendor, with flavours and ingredients going haywire. The dimsums were ordered without mushrooms but they came with the mushrooms and the owner kept on insisting that it didn't contain mushrooms even after we showed him a few pcs. Finally we enjoyed our manchow soup and left it to try some of the other more authentic cafes in Mc leod
This place is really good. It has a good view. Their every food is delicious. I have tried pizzas, sandwiches, banofiie, everything is super yumm. I literally love this place
Place is good and food is also ok, but the owner lady is very rude and racist. We could see her changed behaviour towards us as compared to foreigners. We just asked when our food will be served, she answered shouting that it’ll take some time, it’s not a dhaba or something (her exact wordings). So it spoilt our mood completely. Then whats the point of good food if your mood is spoilt. Won’t be visiting this place again with such rude and racist people here. Don’t know how to treat customers.
Gem place to visit for a lunch/dinner in Mcleodganj. We visited this places just to sample the wood oven pizza and it took us by surprise. One of the best pizza places in the area. The crust was so soft and delicious. After trying one pizza, we came back again to this place to try out some more stuff. Even the deserts served here were mouth-watering especially the Choco Mousse Cake.
This cafe is in main square of the market and have great variety of cuisines. Both fast food as well as main course meals are available here and are really very delicious. I got a chance to have one pizza and shake here, both were amazing pizza was so fresh that it can even beat the pizza hut's pizza which is just few steps before this cafe The bread & veggies were so fresh with Little crisp topped with adequate cheese.
The people here will treat you here with great respect. So five star to them also.
Wish I could try everything on the menu! Loved the pepperoni pizza and pork chowmin, hot chocolate and peanut butter cake.very polite staff and nice ambience.must visit if you are in mcleodganj.
Finest place in mcllo market to enjoy food. Every item I tried was good in taste and enjoyed it.would come back soon. Follow on insta - Indian.travel.blogger
A small place with a bit dim lighting. Ambience is okay. Menu is quite diversified with thalis, Italian, Tibetan etc. Ordered Nepali thali, Dumplings and soup. Taste was okay. They have few bakery items as well.
Perhaps the best restaurant in Mcleodganj to have dinner. Good ambience with outdoor seating arrangement, excellent staff and delicious food. Chinese dishes, sizzlers, pizzas are awesome. I recommend Ginger lemon honey as the drink.
Absolutely wonderful food, took some time but considering it was all fresh made it's a fair trade off. Great staff and atmosphere, definitely would recommend.
Heard about this place from a fellow trekker and when crossed it, it was looking good. Ordered fresh bean coffee which was good. For dinner, we ordered Nepali thali which had so many things in small quantity that we couldn't finish it all. The spinach and potato veggie was superb. Dal was spicy but good in taste Paneer was too creamy with less of salt. However, it was working great to settle the spice of other veggies. Overall The staff was good. Overall, a good place.
Definitely the best Thai Green Curry in town, and perhaps the best i have ever had. The Nepali Thali and fried wontons also have a special place in my heart. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the aesthetics of the place transports you to a different time than that of a crowded McLeodganj. Cherry on the top, the fireplace.
Staff is friendly. Ambience is good. Service is also good. Food was 4/5. I ordered a lot of stuff everything was good except for the wood fire pizza. It wasn't up to the mark. Dessert is definitely 5/5. Must try this place if you're around.
Actually food was so so. I eat some simple fried rice with chilly chicken, and was completely out of taste. Even fried rice in dhabas have better taste. Disappointed!
Their carrot cake stole my heart! It was warm moist, and ohh sooo soft! Had it not been the last slice available, I'd have definitely got another slice for myself. The hot peach tea, and mutton momos were real yumm too! The chilli pork, can be passed.
Located at main square Mcleodganj. It is one of the better restaurants in the area. They serve good thukpas and have a wide range of bakery products. The Tibetan bread tingmo can be tried with any gravy item. The Nepali thali is over rated. The place scores high on location and by seating yourself in the balcony you can get a pulse on what's happening in Mcleodganj.
