The Clovers, Homestay

The Clover Villa is perhaps one of the best homestays in the Himalayas. Host Som Kapoor is an awesome host. We stayed for the second time here for five days and it was a fantastic stay. The plus point is that the whole house is well built and the dining hall and drawing room at the ground floor is huge. Kids loved that and the four rooms are on the first floor. The rooms and washrooms are very clean and have all the amenities. We cooked our own food in the ground floor kitchen and ordered food from Som’s home too. Everyday, we would also get to taste some of the home treats like halwa or other traditional things from Som’s home. His home is 100 m from the property and he is always available 24x7 for any help. The homestay is 300 m from the Fortune Moksha resort and the location of the homestay is great. It is away from the busy Mcleodganj and Nadia market. This stretch of the road is safe too with a couple of other homestays and Fortune Resort in close vicinity of each other. The major point is the complete calm and serene atmosphere in Satobari. The caretaker Rohit stays on the ground floor and his room is a separate and towards the back side of the ground floor. When cooking own food, he is always there to help. Overall an awesome property and a gem in the Himalayas.

We stayed here on recommendation of our friends who stayed there for a month. I was there for 15 days and it was a bliss, Super host Som bhai and care taker Rohit contributed more to our fantastic stay. You feel so relaxed just like home. Property is surrounded by nature as you can hear birds chirping, and different types of birds. Home has specious living area, fully equipped kitchen, four bedrooms on first floor along with balcony, Semi automatic washing machine, Even you can use terrace as well. If you want to stay in nature, away from city crowd and noise then this place is for you.

This is awesome place to stay with family and friends, nice food nice host and care taker.
Host is supercool and shows you around the place every evening qe used to go for trek.
I will miss this place and cherish the memories for life long

Serene, lovely and homely place to stay, Som Kapoor is a super host, very humble and very nice person. He guides you about the best places to visit, best restaurants and more. He even took us on evening walks to places only locals know.

You can enjoy the serenity of the nature here. Property is very clean, bright and beautiful. It has a big living room on the ground floor with a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. On the first floor it has 4 spacious bedrooms with individual balcony to enjoy view.

House is equipped with all the things that you need in a house. (kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, gas, water filter, utentials etc.)
A lot of greenery outside where you can hear birds chirping in the morning and evening. I'm sure you would want to stay more here once you stay here.

I stayed at Clovers from 28th April to 28th May. Let me tell you it was the best choice we could ever make. We went there as a group of 10 and booked the whole place. Initially i thot its a bit far from mcleodganj and it made me nervous. But as the i got over the first two days the place showed its hidden colours. Wonderful trails to all the spots you can imagine. Serenity and peace surrounds it like a cloak. I was overwhelmed by the simplicity and hospitality of the owner Som bhai and our caretaker rohit. They accompanied us on short hikes and we got to know the place as locals do. We walked almost 4-5 kms every other day and it did wonders to our exploration of the place. I warn you the place and the peace is addictive i am still coping with the business of Pune now that i am back. Som bhai will take good care of you and be there when you need help. I hope this review helps you make a choice that is well informed

I'm in love with this place. Peaceful environment, helpful people, nice weather. Literally it was calm and peaceful days of my life. The owner of this villa (Som) is very helpful and kind person. He joins us everyday for evening walk and for after dinner gossips. He invited us to his relative's wedding to explore their culture.
Definately I will visit Satobari again in near future.

Had a wonderful time at The Clovers! The host Somnath was very helpful, he set us with our itenary. Suggested us places to visit and also helped us with the transport. This place is located in a beautiful surrounding. It's situated in a quiet neighborhood and is yet easily accessible. Naddi and Mcleodganj market are close and at a perfect distance. The route to reach this place is beautiful and scenic. And it's minutes away from the sunset point. The rooms are clean, tidy and very spacious considering other rooms in the area. I recommend this place 100%.

Great place with Super Great Host Som Kapoor.

We wr a group of 4 families (8 adults+5kids) booked for 3 nights nd was warmly welcomed by host on arrival day.
This place has a big size hall, kitchen, 2 washrooms on ground floor and 4 bedrooms on First floor with attached bathroom.
There is ample space inside & outside to sit relax and njoy the cool breeze.
The host Mr. Som is super humble and attends to requests in prompt manner.
He arranged everything before hand for night Barbecue also. They have everything u can expect at fully furnished 4 BHK (Dining Table, Fully equipped Kitchen, wardrobes, power backup)
They serve very tasty home cooked Chicken, Dal, Matar paneer, Aloo parantha, bread omelette.
We usually party till midnight and Som bahiya & caretaker Rohit was there to assist and provide everything.
Will surely visit again and recommend to Everyone.

This homestay is really like a home. The host is what makes it feel like one, he is very accommodating, recommends good tourist spots as he is well aware of the town and will not hesitate to help you in any situation. The rooms are very clean and lobby on the ground floor is a decent place to have meals and have a quiet time with friends and family. The bathrooms are very well maintained throughout the duration of the stay. The location is beautiful and all the tourist spots are accessible. Peaceful, serene and you can just leave on foot either way and get to see some amazing sights, explore the Satobari hills. There is a safe parking spot where the owners park their vehicles too. The homestay has great wifi and a balcony with every room where you can sit and work. I highly recommend this place.

Huge rooms, 5-star hotel like furnishings, and all the facilities a home should have, kitchen, hall, games, books. Generally rooms are least of our interest when we talk about trip but this place add much more fun, peace and enjoyment to it. No interference from owner, yet always available at your disposal.

Clovers is a beautiful and completely hygienic and spacious property located at a very nice location.

My family and I visited Mcleodganj 2 weeks back and stayed at The Clovers. It is a beautiful house overlooking the hills. If you want peace, quiet and want to experience the beauty of the hills, this the place for you. Along with the perfect location, the owner Mr. Som is a wonderful host. He helped us with everything during our stay there and made it very comfortable. I would highly recommend this place for staying when visiting mcleodganj.

A superb homestay and villa. In Covid times, it's the perfect place to go and relax with family. During our 3 day trip to Mcleodganj including four families, we enjoyed every moment of staying at The Clovers. It is situated about 2 Km from Dal lake at Naddi and about 1 km from the FRH at Satobari and about 500 m from Fortune Moksha resort. The best part of the villa is the huge dining area and living area and the ground floor also has kitchen and another dining room. All the four rooms are on the first floor and the rooms are good. Owner Som Kapoor made sure that the kitchen had adequate supply of ration and LPG. We took our own ration and cooked our own food and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the environment. Som would come repeatedly to ask about any thing we needed and made sure that our stay was pleasant. They also have a good wifi connection and we often spent time in the living area in the evening playing games and chatting. The back side also has wheat fields and kids enjoyed posing for pictures. The parking is on the small approach area towards the main building and is safe. Som and his family stay at the main house near the villa.

I stayed here for 4 days in January with a couple of friends. This was in fact my first experience with a homestay/Airbnb type property.
On our first day there we were greeted by the property caretaker Somnath. Since it was our first time in Dharamsala he guided us to the property. Without a doubt the house was impressive! A huge place with a view of the mountains and small fields of mustard around it was more than enough.
I would like to particularly mention how helpful Som (Somnath) was. He was kind of our guide too for this trip telling us where to eat, what all tourist attractions and adventure sport options are available, etc. He also provided us an option to put up a bonfire in the night at a nominal fee, with prior notice.
I forgot my personal laptop there and realized it only after he sent me a picture of it. But I had full faith in Som and he did couriered my laptop in the next 2-3 days.
Overall a great property and an even better caretaker you could ask for!

Our pleasant experience with the clovers started right from our telephonic conversation with Mr Som, Manager of the clovers. The place sits on top of a hill, overlooking beautiful valleys and gardens…early in the morning the chirping of the birds herald the dawn.
Neat and clean rooms and peaceful environment away from city life really worth every penny.
Also the book collection kept at the place was awesome.

This "homestay", will feel like "home" and "stays" with you in your memories. A part of me is still there and would want to visit every year. One of the main reasons is the host who connects with you like a friend you've known for long, very helpful and understanding. He is quite knowledgeable about the in and around of the place and can guide you well in planning your stay.

The caretaker/chef sets up nice bonfires and cooks great food. Overall the place is amazing and the enter vibe of the place is awesome.

The owners are very helpful and cooperating.mcload ganj is a little far but there are small treks to mcloadganj and dharamkot and bhagsu waterfall, etc. Which is adventurous.bonfire cooking cab service everything is available.and the rooms are up to date.
