Really loved the location as it was away from the hustel and bustle of mall road. The views were extraordinary but most importantly Kriti was super friendly and helpful. Made us feel at home and helped out with anything we needed.

A beautiful and cozy property in the village of Nasogi! The rooms and are duplex style with a room and an attic. They overlook Manali and is just bliss sitting out in the morning enjoying the view and the sunrise. The host is warm and really helped us out throughout our stay (5 of us stayed for 8 days). Overall, if you want to be away from the busy areas of Manali, Cottage and Cheese is a must visit property. Do give it a try when you visit!

If you want an authentic experience of living in the mountains, this ia the place for you. Breathtaking, blissful views all day long will be a good change from the hustle-bustle of the daily city life. Beautifully designed cottages with amazing view and a cosy attic; with all necessary facilities. This place is situated slightly away from the busy markets, in a small village, but still comfortably accessible. Kriti is a wonderful host; took great care of all our needs and bakes the most amazing cakes and brownies, so watch out for that. Champa didi and her family are very welcoming.and you might end up re-living your childhood, playing with the kids. The food is home-cooked, delicious and authentic.
A great option for a workation too. The wifi speed was great and we were able to work comfortably. All in all, a memorable experience that we're already planning to live a second time!

Well to start with, it is definitely a hidden gem. You move away from hustle bustle of manali and reach a small mountain village called Nasogi and then you got a real cozy homestay named “Cottage & Cheese” run by a very humble and kind person - Kriti.
The best part about the place is it’s vibe and people. Kriti is very helpful and responsive and Champa aunty (the owner of the house) cooks real good local mountain food which makes you feel at home.
Must visit for those who want to experience offbeat hidden gems on airbnb.

Great place to stay. It's a a really simple and cozy vibe at the cottage with warm welcoming hosts in the form of Kriti and Champa Aunty. Loved the entire experience. The place is really approachable from Manali but also offers a quiet reclusive stay from the hustle bustle of the main city.

I can easily explain it as one slice of cheesecake! Once you come down 200 metres from the road, you will reach this little heaven with the beautiful surroundings by apple, walnut orchards. Rooms are aesthetic and thoughtfully curated. All the necessary amenities are there.there is an attic from where you can indulge in some star-gazing. Would love to visit this place again and again. Missed meeting Kriti this time but Champa aunty and her family gave us such warm welcome.we spent beautiful two days here.

We had a stay at cottage & cheese in nasogi, manali for 10 days. Stay was beautiful and service staff was very cooperative and food was simple and healthy. The scenic beauty from the cottage was the bliss of God.

Cosy and beautifully decorated place. View from the rooms is breathtaking. Extremely neat and well maintained place. Local food by Champa aunty is delicious. Away from the hustle bustle of main town, one can enjoy peace and beautiful view from this place. Specially loved the attic design.

It is very far from accessible roads via vehicle. During our stay, the heater was not working (which was included in our package). We had to walk for almost 5 kms with luggage as no vehicle was willing to come to this area.

This is one of the best place in Manali to stay. Cottage is so beautiful and it has its own vibe. Both cottages have a concept to it. Kriti is a great host. She took care of all our needs and just one call away incase of any query.
Care takers are also helpful. They are just like home.
Do visit this place and spend few days here to enjoy its beauty.

Best place to stay if you want to experience real “Manali” touch, close to nature away from typical tourist hill station vibe. Awesome furry buddies around. Amazing hosts. Delicious cheese cakes. Comfy stay. Beautiful view. By far one of the best places I’ve stayed.

Rooms were pretty, neat with a local himachal touch. Champa aunty was so sweet and made us tasty momos. Vibe of this place was amazing, will definitely recommend it to everyone

I stayed at Cottage and Cheese for a good 15 days. The stay was super cosy and comfy with a beautiful attic view in spite of Manalis cold winter nights. And the place is aptly named, as Kriti bakes amazing desserts, especially the Cheesecake.

I was fortunate enough to discover this place on my last visit to Manali. This tiny cottage is nestled in a cozy spot much beyond the Hadimba temple, and is based in the village of Nasogi, away from the chaos of main Manali. The owner is a sweet young lady who is extremely helpful and approachable for all your queries. I'm a big fan of home-cooked local food and the kind family living next door takes care of your local food cravings, or you can use the kitchen yourself. 4G works perfectly here, and it's quiet and peaceful. The views are stunning, and the night sky is a treat which can be gazed at from the comfort of your warm blanket (in case it's too cold to step outside).

If you're into trekking / running, there are trails heading into the woods right behind the property. One of my favourite trails was the one to Kanyal waterfall, it's super easy and peaceful where you walk through the forest and reach the Kanyal village, beyond which lies the Baba Kanyal waterfall. The main market is a 20-30 walk from the cottage and one can always carry a towel and reach Vashisht in about an hour for a quick dip in their hot springs. There are more waterfalls to explore beyond Vashisht, and is the starting point for the Bhrigu Lake trek as well.

Definitely recommended for people who like to stay closer to nature and enjoy living like the locals.

This is just the cosiest place tucked away
in a cute little town with a breath taking view. I was one of the privileged ones to be the first guest. The people and their hospitality is unmatched. Can't wait to pack my bags and go back to The Cottage and Cheese. If you need a reset from the dusty city life or you're a traveller looking for a nice cosy place, cottage and cheese is where you have to be.

A warm and cozy place created in the beautiful hills of Manali. The place connects you to roots and takes you aways from the hustle bustle. The place just feels like home with mesmerising view delicious home cooked food and beautiful cottage.

They have a really good room and the hospitality is really good and the location from the room it’s absolutely beautiful and it’s a budget friendly stay with a good responds let it be anytim I loved it

My stay of around 10 days was fab. Starting from hospitality to beautiful views of the mountains. The owner Kriti is a super baker and bakes awesome brownies and cheesecakes on special request. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place and a wonderful host. Stayed for a night in September. Surrounded by trees on all side, I was woken up by the warmth of the sun on my face and a picturesque view of mountains on the other side. Strongly recommended to anyone wanting an authentic village stay in Manali.
