The Heimat Resort

The overall experience is good. However due to long weekend travel it was overcrowded and due to this they were serving food very late.
The tent is ok not great but the good thing is they are converting tent into wooden luxury resorts.
Taste of food is ok.

We stayed in the resort on 1st and 2nd December, really enjoyed the scenic view of surrounding, good service, food is delicious, sitting riverside makes you feel better, ashis the owner take care of his guest personally, beautiful resort

Overall, my experience at this place has been amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The food at the resort was absolutely amazing. The combination of breathtaking scenery, delicious food, and warm hospitality made for an unforgettable experience.

Location is nice but the food charge is extremely expensive and the workers are not cooperative with the tourists

It was truly amazing experience at heimat.we stayed there for three days felt like home.uncle who runs the resort was so welcoming and made us feel like home.he was playing with my doughter who is 5 like grandfather.
Service was great and food was delicious.they made samosas for us which wasn't in their menu coz it was so windy and cold that evening.
We roamed around so I think the Heimat Resort is the best resort in barot valley.
They have this wonderful view of riverside like you cn spend your whole day there and in the evening they have bonfire amazing.
Value for money time and experience.

Prabal host us in the most kindly way, there is really good restaurant in the resort, everything is fresh clean and tasty especially the trout fish.the heimat resort is one of the best places I visit in India highly recommend!

Amazing place.had a wonderful experience. We were a group of 9 (family) House keeping staff is very courteous. Chef is outstanding. Tried himachali dashes so yum yum.just like extending our trip. Ever lasting experience

Vegetarian Food should prepared in separate Kitchen
And if possible it should be only PURE VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT

The place is very beautiful and the staff is very corporative the food is also the best i personally really enjoyed it there and the view of the river is mesmerizing

It was a wonderful stay at heimat resort.staff was very cooperative n moreover they served with so much love n smiling faces.we collected many lifetime memories here.we r going to miss this place so much.

The best experience a person can have with his/her family/gf/bf/friends or alone. The river side camps are the dopest. The food is extraordinarily good and the staff and its hospitality is amazing. Made alot of memories thanks to u Mr Vivek Dhiman

Wifi not available.seems like hype.the food is okish.the tent is spacious that's the only good point. Toiletries were also included but not given. Won't recommend going by reviews. One can find much better options. Just because it's off season doesn't mean they start not providing mentioned services. Bonfire is also chargeable that to 500rs does not justify.

Pathetic place to stay. Verry poor service. You will regret almost everything about this place.
We travelled in a group of 4. It felt Ike it is a self service hotel. We had to get everything from the market including the toiletries and slippers. The towels were dirty. The food options were very limited.
The caretaker named Ashish made excuses for almost every request. The food service took more than 1 hour on average for tea.

No hot water in rooms, no bed tea in rooms, roosters kept in the premise will make sure you won't get sleep in the night.

Overall a pathetic place to spend your vacation.

This place is so dirty.tents are full of dust.food is disgusting.not a place where one should stay.

The maintainence was not upto the mark. Bedsheets were dirty. No basic facility available.
Even the food at the restaurant was uncooked and really bad.

Camp next to river, the utmost silence we all seek for.

First of all the tent house was in a very bad shape with dirty, stained and unwashed mat and the entire cloth of the tent. No provision for any coils to prevent oneself from huge mosquitoes. Food was okay.view from the place was good. But the place requires lots of improvement and the staff needs to be polite and hygienic. Not recommended for staying purpose only one should go for the lovely drive and scenic view of the valley.

Clean and Well Managed place, Food was also amazing, Stayed there for couple of night in the middle of Barot Valley, stayed at River view Camps. Vivek was humble and helpful for valley expedition.

One of the best campsite in Barot, the views of the river are amazing, they have the best river view among all the camps. Vivek is an amazing host, ever ready to help and polite.

Had a very bad experience. Booked d hotel for 2 days holiday. Staff was least interested in our orders. The so-called rooms had nothing to bolt d room. The zips which were put to bolt d room were broken. Except for d scenic beauty nd flowing river along side, nothing else was good. Cancelled our booking nd left d hotel after one day. Would not recommend d hotel to anyone.

The place has beautiful landscape. Travellers willing to spend peaceful days in the natures lap should visit. The staff and owners are amazing and serves the guest compationately.

Average stay with below average tents. Tents could not be locked so you can not leave the resort with ur expensive luggage in the tents in case u want to go trekking around. Decent view. Bad food. Only good part was the ability to go down to the ice cold flowing water.

The view is beautiful but the resort is horrible. Infact horrible is an understatement. The owners have just earned money and not invested a penny in the development of the resort. There are other campts in the vicinity which are much better. It is overpriced and the food is horrible. The beds were dirty.used blankets.smelly blankets and have bed bugs. My stay was horrible.

Best place in barot. Awesome surroundings & Hospitality. Everything was as perfect as one could ask for. DJ, Bonfire & River view added charm to d place. Perfect family Destination.

Good chill place near the river Uhl. Very good view from here. You can even go down to the river. Food is also great and service is awesome! Management should do something about insects though, harmless but irritating.
