The Jungle Mountain Retreat Kufri

Location is in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are good but service is awful.
Manager acting like a weasel and overcharging after the service has been consumed. Highly unethical. We were with a corporate group and were grossly overcharged for services and manager stopped us with a bill which we were not informed of and stopped us from entering our room and started threatening us.

Overall nice experience, location, food n Service all excellent. The behavior of staff Very cooperative. One Must visit place

The way to the propery is off road and bit scary as the road is all stony road and thru mountains steep rise to hotel which becomes bit tough for the driver! But if you like adventure and are not afraid of lonely road especially at night when it becomes more scary then it is nice place to stay.

I can say the best property to stay and whole of kufri. The views are mesmerising great rooms with private balcony facing the valley. Staff is very helpful and warm. Food is good, excellent variety of food offered. Nothings beats the jmr Hospitality. Definitely a must stay and I shall come back again to stay.

Hotel is good with premium rooms and rooms are are actually excellent and hospitality is great as well. Staff is cooperative and we had superb bonfire in night with music. The views are awesome but the only concern is the muddy 2.5 km stretch down the main road which isn't constructed. It should be better in the dry weather days, but if you are visiting during rainy or snowy days then do check about the road before making your bookings here.

The roads leading to jmr is just fun for bikers but somewhat difficult for 4 wheeler, not been to so many 3 stars.but still rooms were decent and the food was good.

Best hotel with Good behavior of staff location is on higher level.food was also good and all rooms are excellent.

Good hotel with clean and spacious rooms and mesmerizing mountain views, friendly staff and good food but the hotel is quite off-road. Overall a very good experience.would love to come again

I & my family visited to the hotel first time and happy to share my feedback.
1. Awesome place, 5 kms from the city, into the forest. Very calm and within the mountains and nature.
2. Hotel building and rooms are nice, clean and good quality.
3. Staff is so kind and available for the services all the time.

Overall, a great experience for the 3 nights trip we had. I will suggest to be here, rather then Shimla that's so much crowded and polluted now a days.
One feedback would like to share.management should print hotel boards in dark color font that place around the roadside. Also, the board of the 2.5 kms from main road should be visible.

This hotel is very very awesome. The staff is very well and helpful. The receptionist mam (i think shalini mam) was very helpful and supportive. Every staff fulfill your demand or request in seconds. No delay in any service.
Only one issue is the way to reach hotel offroad distance approx 2.5 KM but I think this is the best adventure of kufri. They provide their gypsy complimentary for off road ride which is the fun of trip.
I love the bonfire, room and room view the most.
10/10 from my side.

Amazing experience staying in the resort. Staff was good. Best thing is architecture who has kept vision that nature would be around us whenever we are in resort be it in restuarant, room or even while in the bath.

I just stayed here for one night, but I just fell in love with this place. The location is not so much between the city or in crowded place, the on route road is not so nice, but the hotel is amazing.
The hotel staff is highly professional and extremely helpful. The interior of the hotel reception to the rooms is amazing. I took room with hills view, the interior of room is such a bliss, the washroom interior, balcony, room itself is very pretty.
Markets aren't at reachable distance from here but anyone who wishes to connect to nature and stay in a calm place, away from city life can go for this hotel. Lastly, talking about the food, it is much higher than expectations. Food is really nice, as if directly served from some 5star hotel

The hotel overall is very good. The rooms are very spacious, clean with awesome mountain view from balcony. The ambience is superb and food quality/taste also good. They provide a room heater which keeps the room temperature very cozy. We asked for an additional blanket which was readily provided. The staff is well mannered and polite. We had to checkout at 6 am and still there was a staff available to answer our call and get the final bills ready. The only improvements required are: Missing cocktails at the evening bonfire as the bar is still non functional, weak wifi signal (i managed to use my mobile hotspot to get some very urgent office work quickly completed), the last 2.5 km of road stretch to hotel is not paved with steep climbs and descents (a 4 wheel drive vehicle would be ideal) considering its in midst of jungle, we had our own vehicle with a highly trained driver so was not a problem for us. Overall our stay at the hotel was superb. Highly recommended.

Everything is good. Worth staying. If you are going for the 1st time you may feel it's in the interior.

The property is nice and the food when you order is good but the complementary breakfast is same and not much variety. So if you stay for 3-4 days it becomes bit of bore. Pepsi bottle worth 40 they charge 100 plus with tax that is too much! No shops nearby so you have to buy at their rates.

The view is amazing. If you are just going for the view, then it's fine. Rooms are spacious however you can hear everything from the next room and outside. They have a party hall at the ground floor and loud music is played every evening till 10pm and in case you had planned a quiet evening it will be a disappointment. Food is fine. Staff members are also good. The last 1.5kms road to the hotel is difficult but manageable.

The hotel is situated in an isolate yet very beautiful location which actually changed the vibes after reaching the property. The rooms was spacious, the staff were courteous and very polite. The room service and dinning service, both were fantastic.

Highly recommended. Please visit the hotel.

It's a nice experience to stay at jungle mountain retreat. The sunrise view from the room balcony is mesmerizing the ambience of the room and hotel is very nice along with food quality is good and meet the expections. The hotel stuff is very cordial and help to make our stay comfortable
Well equipped rooms with all the modern amenities available in the room with balcony and beautiful view of sunrise and sunset.

This is indeed one of the best property in kufri for a family stay.
It is out of now where and that is the best part.
