The Mud-House Resort

Firstly, Mr. Satish Sharma must learn what hospitality is. When one is paying for breakfast (that too only for "parathas" in breakfast!) then, DON'T lecture that a person will eat only 2 parathas! And if a guest asks for Butter and Curd then, it will be charged extra! Bhaiyya, clear it to customers when they are booking.
And when a group of bachelors have booked for drinking, shor-sharaba and abusing-Macho, Pencho loudly. Plz don't take bookings from families.
We booked 2 rooms for our families but Satish- learn hospitality!
We too are Himachalis only, and we don't mind paying 100rs for Curd, 10 rs for Butter. While booking just tell that breakfast for 4 people means just 8 parathas, only with pickles.

We were the group of 26 riders. I would recommend this for boys group or solo riders only, not foe family.
Food is good, service is good.

Staff and hotel owner is very polite and helpful.
It is just 1 min walking distance from tabo monastery and helipad.
You will get all the amenities like city.
Food is really good.

If you like very calm and silent place to stay in kasauli. This is one of the best choices. This is almost 9.6 km from Mall road and comes at Garkhal Kanda road.

Buffet is not available so one can order food on ala-carte.

Food is ok-ok. (Could not find anything better to mention) but you'll get the what is required for a decent palate to to have.

Activities missing!
Although they don't have much open space that one can play outdoor games like cricket etc, one can play badminton and gulli cricket.

There is a mini treck also near the property which one can plan during dry seasons.

Rooms don't have air-conditioning, so April till August is a no-no. The temperature is around 32 degree and height is about 1700 m. It's in a valley near Village Kanda so a problem without AC. Rain may make it pleasant but won't complete the experience. Go only in winters, not summer. Room amenities are bare minimum so be sure you want to go there. Staff is polite and food is acceptable.

It was an amazing time with my friends in this place. But the rooms and washrooms should be improved a bit more even though they provide the rooms at a low cost.

The location was very good, Service was super terrible, rooms were okay, food was good but had very less quantity and the Price were sky high. NOT VALUE FOR MONEY

There was inadequate staff. We had to leave early and were ready by 8 30, but the kitchen staff came in to deliver breakfast at 9. Even after giving them additional time to prepare and manage they were so understaffed they could not manage our group of 20 guys. The food was pathetic and have attached a pic of mine making dal as there was no food left with taste. On our 2nd night there was a pipe leakage and we all had to leave the hotel for airport without bath as there was no running water in the rooms, or an alternate provided. The only good thing was the bonfire on the first night rest all was just pathetic. Rooms are so awkwardly placed that it will take the breath out of you to go to the room with the best view, as the path is made out of stones and its an inhuman climb for many. If you are a group be sure to stay in the garden rooms or else you will be spending all your energy going from and to your room. Have attached pics from my 3rd floor room to the garden area. The owner was rude and didn't accept any of the inconvenience faced by us and was ignorant to our dilemma.
If you are planning to go for a trip to kasauli.then is place is certainly not worth it and will ruin your entire trip.

Visiting mud house resort was an awful experience. Didn't get any facility which was listed/promised on the website. The room was unhygienic, there was no wifi and I had to ask the hotel staff to get the TV recharged. All this spoiled our vacation mood. The only good thing was their staff who was qiite polite. I would not recommend this resort.

Excellent view and peaceful location. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Awesome food. And open area for dining and barbecue.

An offbeat resort on an innovative mudhouse concept with modern facilities and nice decor. Close to Kasauli yet in the wilderness. Super host with a very courteous and friendly staff. Food prepared to needs esp liked the barbecue table. Keep it up.

Different concept. May not suit to someone who expects lavish stay as this is a theme resort.

Loved the place, its ambience and greenery. Stayed here for one night, last Saturday with sister and friends. Had quiet a rich time relishing nature at its peak. One could feel the positivity, peace and nature. The sound of the flowing water coming from the nearby rippling stream was a cherry on top of the cake. Shall plan to visit again.

One of the most finest place is Kasauli with combination of traditional mud house with luxury facilities under one roof with very satisfying hospitality and service at very reasonable price in mid of vally and piece.

Must visit place if travelling to Kasauli. Will see you soon again

In reality when we go somewhere, seeing something or some person or some place is memorable for many days, just like we found Karan ji at Mud House Resort in Kasauli, who guided us very well and gave us our hotel Special dishes fed whose name was Chhupa Rustom.
Hotel Features: -
The hotel is 7 kilometers inland from Dharampur and the hotel is quiet and in the middle of the jungle. The temperature of the hotel is favorable according to the weather and the first thing about the hotel is that this hotel is nowhere in the entire Kasauli, it is made up of a different concept. It has 14 rooms, clean and tidy, made of mud and has a small garden with other leisurely activities here. The special thing is the waterfall 100 meters away from this hotel where we enjoyed the whole day. We went to the hotel and enjoyed our entire trip, which we were able to do due to Karan.

Worst management ever, food is wosrt (oily and testless) and you won't get hot water in bathrooms.

Excellent customer orientation. For the first time got room service till 1am. Entrance was not up-to mark as probably they are redoing it.

It was a good experience, but it really depends. If you are a nature lover and want peace from hustle and bustle of city then mud house offers unique experience. But its located in isolated jungle area of Kasauli hills, and is far from Kasauli (10kms), by the way, food is good.

Positive is it’s isolated place, in nature’s lap, no traffic, food was very well cooked and tasty. A small but beautiful open area to play and dine. Beautiful view of Kasauli hills just 7 km from the Chandigarh Shimla road.and Mr. Karan was very helpful person.

Pretty decent stay.nice and polite staff.food was good. BBQ was pre-ordered by us which we really relished along with the bonfire till late night.must try "gud ka prantha".

Location is too distant from the city.staff is really cooperative.food service was horrible.food was cold even after resending.and food is too costly.staff was nice other that that hmm.

This place is just wow! It is really far away from the mall road and the road is also bad but the view is amazing. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend with your friends or family. This is the one!

Value for money, food is tasty, but nothing much to do inside the resort.we went out for a lil trek on the way to gambhal pul.

Stayed on 26-Dec-2019 in mudroom no. 611.what i liked was that this one has a private balcony, but it did not offer swing chairs as in other level-3 mudrooms.food was pretty ok.staff is cooperative.read it somewhere in the reviews before arriving abaout the "Gudd ka prontha". Tried it! Its good to try as a sweet-dish after meals.

Stay is good, place is beautiful, surrounded by beautiful hills and peaceful environment, even the service is good but thr food sucks.

We booked the huts, they were purely made up of thick mud walls, they were very cozy and we dint find the need even for heater in the room. This was my dad's choice of holiday this time, we din't regret:)

Service was sophisticated even the staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was awesome and of I talk about food I love the way how they present of every single snacks of tray. I must recommend to guys if you wanna stay for from hustle and bustle for a little time of period.

Reccomended for nature, greenery and ambience. Negative for activities; howeverbasic activities like indoor games, badminton etc.are present.

Amazing place to stay and so peaceful. Food is really good but little expensive but it is understandable looking the location of the hotel. Will advise traveller to take some medicine and chips etc along since the market from this hotel will take atleast 20 -30 minutes subjected to your driving skills. Hats off to the owner who has tried and pulled off to such a innovate theme (Mud Resort). Worth every penny!

Nice place for a group outing. Secluded from the World this rustic place is around 7km from Dharampur chowk towards sanawar. Rooms are spacious, beds with good mattress. Liked bon fire, music. Food quality is below average. Staff is supportive.

Peaceful and serene location. Good food in the middle of a jungle resort; a combination hard to find elsewhere. Enjoyed our trip thoroughly.

Pathetic experience and not worth of spending a ₹4-5k per night room at Mud House. You find much better properties in Kasauli within this price range.

The food was just ok and they take approximatly 1.5 -2 hour to serve any food.

They don't even have basic amenities i.e, no mirror in the room, no drawer, no tea bags, no kettle, etc.

And yes, they asked everyone to deposit their car keys at reception and steal petrol from your car at night. This happened to me

I have wasted my money and don't want others to do so. Please if you don't get the room at other places it better to change the place or dates but don't book any room at Mud House, Kasauli.

Better to save money rather then regretting it later.

If you love isolation.this Is one heaven you should visit. It was awesome experience. Secondly my family visited ur resort on 23rd March. Just seeing it resort they didn't checked inn.
I made booking and transferred 1000 as advance on 22nd march.

We had a wooing experience at the mud house resort. The ambiance was very unconventional and peaceful. Hospitality was excellent as well. The food was delicious, dahi chicken is a must try!
