Best place to relax n unwind. Spend a lazy afternoon soaking the Winter sunlight or stay the night stargazing.

We had lunch here on our way to Shimla. The food was fresh and delicious! The location of the hotel is also great with amazing views!

I must say there is no problem with the hotel but buy The MANAGER who picks up the phone is very rude. He is not hospitable at all. I wanted to book a room the other day and he was very rude and didnot talk properly to me. One managaer isgood but the other is extremely rude and was very very rude. The place is good and food too but jo log vhn kaam kre jese ki main manager should be removed because of his bad behaviour

Beautiful hotel at beautiful location. Lush green lawns. Yummy food. Fast service. Staff is also helpful. Good parking. Clean rooms.

Love the place. Very good stop over Chandigarh shimla route. My favorite is chana bhaturas the pakoras are nice to get to sit out in the open and enjoy quick service.a little rundown this time maybe the marrygo round needs fixing.fist time I took my 5 year old here so looked at it a little different but for me the nostalgia vvalue is much higher and the food was still good

I am a die hard Pinewood fan and have been staying here for more than 15 years and intend to continue, for their quality in everything they offer, including the staff attitude of service with a smile

Nice place for stopping while going to shimla.nice food for a break.
You can enjoy drinks too.but don't drink and drive. You have rooms to stay too

This is a Himachal Tourism Resort at Barog. We stopped here for having food. Food was good and scenic views were great. Loved it. Room here cost between INR 3000 to 5000. I would prefer this wonderful resort next time for stay even as it has good quality food and price was reasonably okay.

Its better then any WANNA BE hotels around. Staff is old govt employees, so very well behaved.
Most imp thing is that you get glimpses of past decade. Food prices are so cheap and quality is actually nice. Their suite rooms are upgraded to modern standards, other rooms are old, BUT clean. Pictures of suite room.

Visited this place last week, it is situated on old main road of Shimla via Barog.

Till Kumar hatti there is four lane toll road, there after you have to leave four lane & join old road of Shimla just 10 minutes drive after leaving toll road. You can reach this place in merely in 1 hour from Parwanoo.

This hotel belongs to Himachal Pradesh tourism & is very old but maintained, still rooms need to refurbishment that's why I gave it 4 star.

Location is very good there is a local market just few meters away from this hotel, parking is no issue have good parking space.

Food is delicious, with reasonable pricing & staff is very cooperative. Very nice place to spend good time with family & nature. Less crowded place like other hill stations.

My first experience with a hotel under Himachal Tourism. Wonderful location, Nice rooms, good staff, lovely service. I had a veey very good time here with family and friends. Overall a very good experience.

Although barog is only famous for scenic beauty, weather and Barog Tunnel. I found this place far better than Shimla if you just want a weekend getaway from a hectic city life and spend some time with your loved ones.

This hotel is a nicely built up new hotel having good facilities and clean rooms and beautiful hilly views

Quality of food is unmatchable. However, they will take around 2 hours to serve your food. Chilli chicken is a must try.

The perfect lay over between Chandigarh and Shimla, with options for both indoor and outdoor restaurant and clean washrooms. Sit inside to enjoy the calm ambiance or sit outside and enjoy the company of beautiful flowers and plants! The menu isn't very diverse, but you wouldn't need much on a lay over.

Good hotel but beware of the room service while they load your belongings to your cars. They steal stuff while loading or on the way. This happened with me on 5th Feb 2021. A 2 litre cello hot bottle and my nike shoes were stolen and no one bothered to do anything about it. So be careful. Room service may seem nice but they are not.

The rooms are average, but according to any state hotel i've ever been in, this hotel do set new standards for them. The food is really good and affordable, the portion sizes are too really fulfilling. The garden is greatly maintained, The experience for me overall was quite nice and i would love to visit it once more.

I parked my car in the hotel parking and someone just hited my car I asked for the cctv footage but was not provided wrost experience

Property is amazing, about 6km. From Solan bus stand.

Best part is well maintained, staff was professional, parking is also available.

The outdoor tables are ideal for a relaxed leisurely visit. The panoramic view of the mountains is good. The staff is polite. Good for a glass of beer and a plate of pakoras (well made, not oily, good quantity). Other snacks are of course also available. Currently outdoor sevice is till 6pm

The resort at it's location best. Truly an amazing place. Surroundings and atmosphere, all truesome.

Nice location. Property is 5 star. Rooms and other anemities are nice.safe Car parking.our main concern was about room service need to be improved.even after several phone call to room service, reception related to order for room, no response. Typical sarkari kind of attitude.

Run by HPTDC. A govt undertaking. It is a very pleasant, cool and sceneric place to visit. A good place for an outing with family. Open cafe is available. A small park for kids. Good parking facility. Situated On National highway. Sincere and helpful staff.

A serene place to have meals on way to Shimla from Chandigarh. Decent food, reasonable price, friendly staff and good service.

It is me and my family's favorite holiday destination. Love the old school charm in this place. It is always a relief to come here for a day or two from the hustle bustle of Delhi.

Food quality of restaurant has degraded. Interiors hold old charm but would recommend outside seating if weather permits.

The worst food ever. I would suggest that don't eat at their in house restaurant. No matter you order which dish. You will get the same taste

Good place to get refreshment from driving through hills. Good quality of food and little bit expanses but environment make you compromise with price. You can have drinks here as well. As this govt. Entitled resort we should promote this place.

Wonderful ambience.anf located in the lap of nature. A must visit and stay. Even enjoy the marriage parties.

Visited their restaurant for a cup of tea and some refreshments. The seating is open with good views and a lush green lawn. Since it is managed by Himachal Tourism, they host a lot of foreign tourists as well, so they try to give a good service and maintain hygiene as well. The service is not so quick, hence you can enjoy the beautiful view and adorable birds too. Parking is quite big.

The only downside is their high prices paired with average quality, but the location is worth it.

Beautiful location, i always stop here while on the way to Shimla, it is just few killo meters away from kasauli, awesome locality, friendly helpful staff, food littlt bit expensive but has very clean rooms.

Visited this hotel for family excursion. They do have a canteen wherein you can order basic stuff. The qhality of the food is decent and the location of the hotel is best suited for people who are more into hotels than the place.the rates are also decent since it is a run by the government. The laen are also very well maintained and it serves as a good location for one or two pictures.
Certain rooms have a balcony and they offer a good view of the mountains in front of the hotel.

Food is below par cleaness is mediocre locality is great room good size toilet clean as per Indian standard dogs and monkey nuisance

It's a Himachal Pradesh State owned tourism complex, nice place for breakfast lunch etc beer bar you can enjoy good place for kids

Beautiful location. Great place to stay. A govt. Of himachal pradesh undertaking. You can party here also. Bonfire here and bar and restaurant is also good.

Actually I had more thoughts that it would be luxurious, but it was a nice simple hotel and I loved my stay there. The view from the Balcony was magnificent and seeing the rising sun coming out between two mountains, I loved the view. I recommend this.
