The Tirthan Valley Wooden House

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and we wished we stayed longer, we loved it here! Tikam and his family were amazing hosts and very welcoming.

The whole property is beautiful, the patio and the balcony have amazing views and are a great place to sit and enjoy your meal.

The room was simple but lovely. Very clean, tidy and had plenty of blankets for the cold winter! The bathroom was finished very nicely and the shower was nice and hot.

The food was great. Everything we ate was delicious, hot and included mostly of local food which was great for us to try as tourists. The hosts were always offering drinks and extra food, they were very caring - even made us a fire when we were cold!

The property is within walking distance of Gushaini market, about a 10 minute walk, where you will find cafes. Also, from the property you can walk to the Great Himilayan National Park gate (no need to take taxi) which is a very beautiful trek. Tikum joined us on day 2 of our trip and was our guide to visit Sharchi and the waterfall, it was great and made it very easy for us! He also helped us arrange a taxi for our onward travel.

We recommend Tirthan Valleh Wooden House to any travellers in Gushaini! The family are so lovely and kind (and they have a very cute young daughter!). Great value for money and the best place we have stayed on our 6 week trip in India! Thank you!

We are trekkers, dancers, dance and fitness instructors & nature lovers. Our 3 nights stay in Tirthan valley wooden house was more than satisfying. Tikkam and family was very much hospitable and it came true to the saying "come as guests and leave as friends". Everything from food, location, hospitality, information, interactions etc was above par. We could also conduct our online dance and fitness classes without any hassle. (Airtel works better). Our only regret is we could stay only for a short duration. But, for sure, we will again visit this beautiful place, stay in this amazing location, plan some treks with Tikkam and family & have delicious local food from here.

The host was very warm and provided great hospitality with fresh apricots and welcome drink. You could see tirthan river from the room. The dinner and breakfast was homemade and very delicious.

Genuinely speaking it was best homestay at a very reasonable price and yes the food was so tasty and healthy. Everything was super natural from the place, house and pahadi food. Owner were so friendly and cooperative.guest treatment was superb.believe me you will feel like home.

This was such a great place to stay. The Cottage looks amazing and gives a homely feel. The people there are wonderful and very friendly.

I had the pleasure of living in this beautiful wooden homestay in Gushaini with Tikkam Bhaiya and his family. A memory I would cherish forever. The family went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable and cosy. Had the most sumptuous home cooked meals along with himachali delicacies like Siddu. Tikkam bhaiya also guided us on a small trek to the meadows of Sharchi. I cannot wait to visit this beautiful homestay again.

The place is simply awesome. Tikkam and his family members were extremely cordial and caring towards us. They made us feel at home. The food was good, the room was neat and pretty with proper amenities. A truly home away from home!

Amazing place and amazing hospitality. We a were a group of 5 people and we reached post midnight but the host served us good food that too it was more than sufficient to feed 7 people. We called host multiple times for various reasons and he was kind enough to help us out everytime. Highly Recommend this stay.

Short story - Best stay in Tirthan Valley without any doubt!

I tried multiple places in tirthan valley, I would say this place is the best in terms of clean rooms, comfortable and hospitable stay and amazing food. The prices are also the best you can get from here. We were a couple and stayed there for 2 nights.

Food - We had the most amazing dinner here, the curries are filled with ghee and very tasty.
Stay - The rooms, towels and bathrooms were very clean (very very clean!). Also the price are very competitive.
View - The view of mountains and river is also amazing. We did hookah from balcony with the amazing view.
Hospitality - The best part is tikamji who helped us so much in every request like arranging scooty at good prices, foil paper for hookah, cards, places to visit. He also took personal time to take us to sharchi village and even trekked with us for 1 hour to show villages even on top of sharachi! I never found anyone doing that for free. Special mention to uncle and cute ananya. If you are travelling with family/couple this is the best place to get the perfect environment and vibe.

It was amazing to be in this place. Me and my wife stayed in this place for 4 days and the memories of the place is still so fresh. As Himachali we feel like home here and food was also good. We stayed in the room from where the view was magnificent. Tikamji was with us all the time during trek to Seruvalsar lake and Sarchi village and he explained all the details regarding history of the place. We spent little time with grandparents of tikamji and in this short time we had a special bond with them as well.
We recommend this place to everyone and believe us no one will regret after visiting here.

We stayed here in the month of Feb 2022. The location is amazing with all basic amenities available. The hosts provide excellent hospitality.
Tikamji helped us a lot in exploring various places. We were with a 3 year old kid and he became a very good friend of Tikamji and his family.

There is a climb from the homestay to main road, so if you have difficulty in climbing stairs then be careful.

From the 1st interaction only you understand that you are into best hands.
Food is awesome, anything you want it will b cooked as per your taste, service is very prompt and mr tikam is so humble and helpful. He will accompany you to all tourist spots and will guide you to very information things. View from hotel is awesome, snow mountains, river flowing, river sound.guys do stay in this hotel if you are planning tirthan valley, back to gurgaon and missing the views already

Best clean homestay, the entire family is extremely polite, helpful and at your service making sure your stay is comfortable. Amazing home cooked food making sure the top it with desi ghee in every dish. One should try their kadi, atte ka halwa, chicken curry. The helped us plan our treks, Gautam/Gulan happily accompanied us. Both brothers Tikam and Gautam are amazing and the hospitality provided is to another level. The access to the room needs a small trek of 30 to 40 steps as the car cannot reach directly but it was fun to commute.

Tirthan valley in Himachal is a must place to visit if you want an peaceful stay surrounded by pristine nature, away from the crowd in manali Or kasol. And tirthan valley wooden house in Gushaini village is the best to stay there for the view of tirthan river and view of tirth peak. It's also very close to the starting point of GHNP trek.
Tirthan valley wooden house is really a place to be to get an absolute honest taste of Himachal, it's mountains, culture and above all it's people.
A very warm, hospitable family of Tikam Ram will welcome you over here. Facilities are excellent with comfortable rooms, hot water, simple home cooked food. We have tasted some of the authentic himachali food like siddo, local sabji.
You can spend your time by hiking to near by villages, fishing, hiking to tirthan river from your cottage or tirthan village trek and the host will always be there to accompany and guide you.
We visited sharchi & jamala village accompanied by Tikam Ram with stunning views of mountains, meadows and forests. A trek to river was an adventurous one.
You would surely love the honest concern and efforts from the whole family to make your stay a delightful one.

Ohhh what to say. A must visit place with good views of Himalayan mountains.the rooms are amazing.service is beyond expectations. You will not feel you are staying in hotel. It's like a second home. First of all the placement of the wooden house is just right! The view from the balcony and the windows is so beautiful that you wouldn’t want to leave this place! The sounds of the Tirthan river is soothing and view of the majestic mountains in the front is just the cherry on top!
And the hosts Gautam bhaiya and Tikkam bhaiya (who knows every places you can possibly think of visiting in Tirthan) are sooooo good and helpful that they wouldn’t let you have any trouble and go extra mile to make your stay comfortable and full of fun!
They local delicacies which they make would just blow your mind!

The home stay was quite pleasant and they were very much caring for their guest, the home cooked food was amazing and pure desi ghee made it taste outstanding. The trek to meadows was super as it gave us the chance to see a snow

One of the best places to be in Tirthan valley. This property is situated just near Tirthan river and you can hear the river sound which is very soothing. You have very clear and beautiful view of Tirth parvat exactly opposite to the property. The property is maintained by a very nice family. Tikam bhaiya helped us visit all the nearly by places like meadows, Sarchi Village, Jibhi falls, Mini Thailand etc. We went for a birthday celebration and the host helped us arrange for cake and decorations. Family is very accommodating in terms of your food needs. We visited with 2 year and 7 year old kids and the family helped us get food for kids. Anyone planning to visit places in Tirthan and have yummy food should consider this place. They have cosy rooms and are lovely hosts. Dadi and dadoo are the best they talk to you like your family members. Will surely visit there again in summer for a different view. Best for place to be in Tirthan.

It was an unforgettable experience in tirthan valley. I chose a stay in gushaini and was really lucky enough to get the most amicable hosts. Mr. Gautam the owner of the wooden valley homestay was in touch throughout the journey and was helping us to get the things done before hand. Tikkam who is the brother of Mr. Gautam was accompanied us whole time to made our journey memorable, he took us to the core of tirthan during our stay in gushaini. However, family was welcoming all the time we go out and come in. If i talk about the food' IT WAS BEYOND OF WHAT I EXPECTED'.

Quaint stay admist d mountains, homely food and very friendly people. The only thing is this place doesn't get much of sunlight sonit gets really cold. But that can be managed through warm clothes and heater. You can go on many hikes from this place. The host will help you with d transportation and everything u need.

A very peaceful and nice valley and a very cosy, comfortable and beautiful homestay. The himachali family hosting this property will make sure that your experience is wonderful and one to be remembered. It simply felt like a home away from home in the mountains. The home made food was amazing. Local cuisines as well as familiar delicacies are cooked here in a very homely way. The view from the homestay is also one of its kind. They also organise for rental vehicles, local tours, treks, fishing and other experiences in the tirthan valley. One of the best stays at tirthan and is a must visit.

During the last weekend, most of the well known Homestays in Tirthan Valley were fully booked due to "Long Weekend". We managed to find a room at "Tirthan Wooden House"- a homestay run by Gautam Ji and Tikam Ji and believe me, we were not disappointed. It's a small home stay having just 3 rooms, but the house is beautiful and the view from rooms is simply awesome. As it's 300 metres above the river, you will experience the best views of river and mountains as well. In fact we could see the fresh snow falling in the mountains of GHNP from our rooms. The family serves tasty and 100% home-cooked food and takes care like their own family. We were fortunate enough to be accompanied by Tikam bhai himself for the day trip to the Badasari Meadows and Mini waterfall. I was lucky enough to have a chat with DadaJi also and gained some information/knowledge about the area and got the recipe of making apple chutney from DadiJi as well.

This place is a gem of a place. The hospitality offered can't be replaced with any other stays/hotels available nearby. The home made local food is really delicious. The hosts, tikam & Gautam are really helpful and they really do go out of their way to make your stay memorable. They help you with the local sightseeing and treking spots. They really do make you feel at home and they take care of you like your own family.

This place has my heart. Very comfortable and clean place. Room is very cozy with good bedding, very minimalistic but value for money. It’s an easily accessible place. Very welcoming hosts, both the brothers, Tikam and Gautam. The host can also help you out with nearby sighting seeing and activities. Very homely food. They would make sure you are comfortable and having a good time. Do consider this place if you are visiting nearby. Definitely recommended!

One of the best regions to explore in Himachal Pradesh, India.
Far from the hustle of the city, surrounded by thick vegetation (pine, spruce, cedars etc), Tirthan valley is home to exclusive flora and fauna. Also known as the Western Ghats, there is The Great Himalayan National Park in its vicinity which is native to some of the exotic plants and animal species that can not be found elsewhere.
Occupied by good resorts, Tirthan valley is a spot for nature lovers, adventurists, naturalists, biologists, bird lovers, photographers. (basically everyone).
Other than resorts and hotels, you also have the option of camping in the forest, or by the river side
For those who chose to camp for the first time, fear not. Most of the resorts have option of riverside camping within their limits where you are safe and in a certain comfort zone. The staff can help with the arrangements and food and everything. Just sit back and relax and enjoy your time in Tirthan.

One of the best places to be. It felt so surreal to be here. Waking up to the beautiful mountains and listening to the continuous flow of water. Couldn’t have asked for more. The host are amazing and makes you feel at home. The food and the enthusiasm with which these guys prepare food for you feels great. Visiting tirthan without staying here is like missing out on half of tirthan. The two brothers are with you taking you to beautiful places. One of their bhabhi taught me nitting as well. So couldn’t be more grateful. We stayed here for 10 days and at the end did not feel like leaving the place. Cleanliness, food, service, view- all are excellent

I had so much fun staying at this place, it was very good experience. Rooms are spacious and clean, food was delicious. Daily we got fresh fruit treat from trees in their property. We connected with Gautam bhai's family like our own. Teekam bhai, Dada, Dadi, Bhabi and their two cuties Aradhya, Ananya. Teekam bhai is very hard working and would never say no to any of your request. They are so warm, caring and generous people. Dada shared his stories with us, Dadi is very funny, she would even used to pull leg of one of our friends. We were very happy that we chose their place. Nothing to complain! Home away from home. We would definitely like to come back here again.
