The Whispering Woods Tirthan

It’s an amazing place to stay. Even during April, you could enjoy such an amazing weather at this place. The stay was just so nice.
The location of this place was amazing though it’s a but tricky route along the way since it’s situated quite within the Tirthan Valley. During peak season you might feel a little difficulty due to the narrow roads. But the location is quite beautiful and near to a river, you can hear the sound of river water all day.
The food was great and they made sure you get everything they have to offer. Just let them know about your requirements and they will make sure they deliver it.
The property has multiple cottages and each cottage got its own name and separate point of view of the valley. The cottages were really cosy and they even had these cute room heater for winter.
It’s a must visit place and totally recommend.

I went here with few of my friends and it was such a serine experience. The stay was very delightful, food was absolutely delicious and rooms were very clean and well arranged. I would definitely like to visit here again!

I would recommend everyone to atleast visit here once!

It's a beautiful property in gushaini village. The people taking care of the property are very polite and very helpful. I ll remember Gagan bhai's help in showing me the beautiful parts of the valley on my short trip. I will recommend this place to everyone visiting gushaini. I have marked this property for my future trips to teerthan. All the very best to the whispering woods team.

Amazingly stay with brilliant service & people, definitely recommend for solo travellers and couples

Visited this serene resort deep into Tirthan valley built on hill side overseeing forest on the other side of valley. Quiet and natural sounds. The room had rustic wood and mud house vibe and a large glass window for the view. Food was good and caretaker was directly reachable via mobile phone. Great stay.

This is the best place to stay in tirthan valley to enjoy the beauty of nature and to get out of the city hussle. The staff is really helping and food is awesome. Enjoyed my 2 days stay here. They also provide internet dongle if you want to work from here. Deepak bro is really helping he guided me to reach that place and called me to for any assistance or anything that i want. Naresh who is the care taker of the property also helped me. It was the best experience to stay there. Highly recommended!

The resort location is bit far from main city but it is well maintained resort and well good aminities if you are looking for a very peacfull location then its good place to stay, rooms are bit small but highly maintained as given them village texture you can see when you stay there, food quality was good, nice staff and co-operative, the only thing you have to look for you have to reach by your convence and if you are planing go somewhere else yoh have to book your car before reaching that place because there is no conectivity there.you have to on your own, the riverside location is bit far from the resort you have to go by trek there it will take 15 to 20min.atleast, overall good stay.

We enjoyed our stay of 2 nights in this place. The rooms are pretty and aesthetically Pleasing. Food is good. Staff is courteous and polite. Naresh ji is helpful. This location is scenic and safe.

Beautiful location. It is near to the tirthan river which makes this property more peaceful. It was amazing experience. Service was also good. We have stayed 4 nights and we had enjoyed a lot.

Beware, don't get tricked,
This place is currently taken on lease and managed remotely by bunch of young partners Mr V (helpless/distressed), Mrs V (trouble maker) and Mr D (humble guy), who are doing regular jobs in Mumbai and running this as a side business. These people are far far away from the sensitivities and warmth that is essential for the hospitality business and try to operate transactionally. This shows from the negative reviews others have also posted on various booking sites as well as here.
The modus operandi here is, they take booking (currently on bookings.com) once customer contacts them, they offer them better rates and will cancel the booking done through the website. Not sure why, maybe they are trying to evade payment to the website as well as evading taxes etc. They will take 50% payment upfront while booking and remaining 50% right when you step on their property. Please do not make any advance payments to them as this is a trap and then you won't be left with any option but to be stuck on there mercy.
One of the partners Mr V's wife who he puts in front has some serious behavioural issues.
If you complain about anything then you are in big trouble.example:
Rooms getting exceptionally hot 30°C and they only have 2 pedestal fans on the whole property, food being unhygienic and served in a room with flies all around, not having a first-aid kit, you ask for a towel each for the number of guests etc. She will fight with people on phone, will yell on top her voice, although we are from Himachal Pradesh but without knowing she will still utter slurs like "aa jate ho Delhi Chandigarh se".
They operate the kitchen like a students hostel, will ask you to have food by 10 p.m. Else you won't get it, no staff will give you anything post that, even if you are not hungry at that time you can't take food to your room, my friend was hurt in the knee while coming down the uneven path to reach the rooms, still he was made to sit on the floor forcibly and have food in the pantry on their prescribed time.
We were two families and booked their rooms available for around 6000/night per room for two nights, however, we checked out after one night only as the whole environment was so toxic and stressful.
The property is very far from the river for which we go to Tirthan, the whole property has very sad vibes, the local staff is humble but are at the mercy of the lady passing diktats from Mumbai. They have no mention of the name "Whispering Woods" anywhere on the property till date for weird reasons.
As per my daughter the most friendly being on this property was the dog named "shadow"

We have been their for a day as a group. Had food as per request. Service was good. The place has great location facing a mighty hill. One has to spent at least 2 days to enjoy the place and Tirthan. Everything was online, and support was till check out. Owner Mr Deepak was personally involved to make sure the best service to the guests. Recommending the place for future visitors.

Great overall experience, thanks to the friendly staff, prompt service and the stunning location! The kitchen is homely and the rooms are cosy with a breathtaking view. The gurgling sound of the river right below is serene. The location was a comfortable distance from the two main treks near Gushaini, and is still away from the crowd. Shadow, our guide dog throughout the trip was the star of the property. Would love to visit again!

This place tucked in gushaini is very very quiet. Your choice of staying here depends on whether you’d prefer a tree house. We took a room called “family room” for ₹4500/night. I think it was on the expensive side considering the size of the room (pics attached). I loved their balti-lota in the bathroom. Linen didn’t seem fresh though.
Another important point I will make is that the room with its mountain view can get dizzying if you’re someone who has height phobia or vertigo issues, it can get a bit nauseating. And their cafe/dining room is hopelessly boring, like a bhojanalay. You’ve got to go there to have any meals at all. It’s floor seating. Hence not recommended for oldies. (And for the same reason this property is also not recommended for people with knee issues as you’ll have to climb down narrow uneven staircase to reach your room). Dining common area was dull, we missed tv since ipl finals was going on (not that we watch tv on holidays, but just for finals). Zero decor in dining area. This, when we’re the kind of travellers that go to the room only to sleep. We just didn’t feel like going to the dinning area.
Also, the next morning our breakfast wasn’t even started despite telling an hour in advance. (We had to leave for delhi n hence wanted to exit early. So we cancelled the breakfast after this delay).
Their menu is elaborate n we got excited seeing it but 80% of it is not available, even the items starred as “owners recipe”, After getting “not available” for most items in the evening tea-time, we ordered peanuts chat, n it wasnt good. Burnt peanuts and very funny preparation, not like chakhna at all (pics attached).
After having stayed in other beautiful properties for lesser price in the valley, I feel this one’s a miss! For the seclusion n tree house feel, there are many on the same route at cheaper price.
I wish the owners can have reasonable prices and have smaller menu to share with guests of things that are actually there. Menu came to us on WhatsApp. So I believe a “today’s menu” list can also be created on the same platform to avoided constantly hearing “not available” for more than half the items.

Had an amazing stay at Whispering Woods, Gushaini. The owner Deepak was kind enough to guide us for our stay and nearby spots and was always available to resolve any queries we had. The food was especially good here and the chef was kind enough to accommodate any requests we had, although the availability of some raw materials was a challenge. I would definitely recommend this for a stay in the Tirthan valley for beautiful views and a comfortable stay.

Hands down the best stay in Tirthan Valley! Aesthetically cosy rooms with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The food is great & the staff ensures you have everything you need. We really did have a wholesome experience at The Whispering Woods!

We were lured by the good looking rooms but the services were conplete disaster. The property is being managed by people from Mumbai and least bothered about inconvenience to customers. The reason, they took the money in advance and are not ready to listen to the customers complaints and above all the behaviour of the lady "Manali", which spoilt a whole day of our vacation.
Worst ever experience, they are just managing 5 rooms and the property is far away from flowing water.

No lights at night to walk safely upto flowing water. We were so tired after the journey but were forced to climb upstairs to have food in the so called cafe as they didn't serve food in rooms.

The staff behaviour is good but the over all experience including poor Location of the cottage, and was surprised to find other name of the cottage as whispering wood signage was never there.

Will advise any traveler to avoid staying to this place.

Beautiful view and location. View includes river, mountain (incl snow caped mountain on right). Rooms are beautifully designed and you can see valley from room itself. Overall great experience.

This place is beautiful! The rooms are very cozy. The breadth taking view of the Parvati river and snow mountains, paired with good food made our stay wholesome! Shadow was definitely the highlight and will be my reason to come back soon!

Beautiful property located in Tirthan Valley. Well maintained cottages with a stunning view of the Parvati river and the snow cladded mountains. This place is a must visit if you are planning on visiting Tirthan.

While booking this place it felt like a decent place to stay but when we reached the place it was awesome. Manager Gagan is a top class host and will provide you with every help that you need.

Best location in the Tirthan Valley. The view from the cottage was amazing. The interiors are to die for. Must visit place if you are in the neighborhood.
