I ordered honey chili chicken and vegetable cheese momo, but both weren't very good.especially because it wasn't seasoned chicken, but 'seasoned fries'. This wasn't fried chicken.
We can't really understand the good reviews. The service is mixed, while one waiter was nice, the other was unfortunately very unfriendly.
The food arrived very quickly and unfortunately we didn't like most of it at all. At first glance it looked quite good, but unfortunately everything was very greasy, partly overdone, partly tasteless and the chapatis were burnt and bone-hard (we have never had that served in India before.) The Ladefingers were fine.
The worst thing, however, was that we couldn't tolerate the food at all and had stomach problems. First time in 6 weeks India. No recommendation!
Good restaurant. Had the momos (Chicken & mutton). Juicy and heavily stuffed. The chutney though was hot & spicy, but lacked salt. Almost all the accompanimemts were low on salt.
I have a great recommendation for a place to eat where you can order Chinese and Tibetan food. It's an old establishment that I have been ordering from for a long time. Their momos and shredded chicken are absolutely delicious, and their tupka is also excellent. I highly recommend trying it out. It's definitely worth a visit! "
Ordered Tandoori momos and it was truly awesome. They serve 8 big momos which was sufficient enough for 2 people and can serve as one full meal:) Location is center of maclo so easily accessible.
One if the best tibetian cuisine restaurant in mcloadganj. Tasted mutton tupja, pork chilly and Fried mutton momo. The taste is excellent and momo was juicy with melted butter in it.
Delicious Tibetan food. Super friendly service. They also have outdoor seating. It was the first time I have tried Tibetan food. Variety of dishes is amazing.
In my opinion I was not at all satisfied with the food here, especially the mutton shapta it felt like I was eating a rotten meat and the taste in my throat is still making me want to puke and the momos we had was also not hot when served. I wouldn't recommend you eating here
The best part about Tibet Kitchen is that it offers at the very least, 4 cuisines, and those too at phenomenal taste.
Across multiple visits, I've had Tibetan, Bhutanese and Mughlai food (haven't tried Chinese) and have been consistently satisfied with the portion sizes, taste and service.
While other old restaurants on the McLeodganj chowk have moved on to worse from bad over the years, it is commendable that Tibet Kitchen has been able to provide lip-smacking delicacies at a reasonable cost.
Highly recommended to have: Any kind of Datse preparations Tandoori Momo Malai Kofta Butten Naan
Try to find seating on the top most level, the space is larger. The place doesn't have any views to boast of, which is irrelevant when your time is anyway going to be spent admiring and finding the next gravy laden morsel of butter naan.
Thanks to the cooking and serving staff for maintaining the place.
Gorgeous feast included stuffed mouth dissolving big sized steamed momos, really that well regarded flavours I've never had before. Then it was a turn of mild flavoured chicken low in calories loaded with fibre and nutrients, it's a complete meal in itself. Anybody can sense a feel of Himalayan touch
One of the most authentic Tibet taste you can find in Mcleodganj is at the Tibet Kitchen. The service is really quick. The cafe staff is nice and food is very delicious. Do not miss out the dumplings and the thukpa.
Loved the place when visited a few years ago. They serve fried thengtu and i haven't found that anywhere else in india. It's much delicious than normal thengtu.
You can also try other dishes, very genuine and authentic
Good restaurant. On main square of Mcleodganj. We tried Datse (Bhutanese), Mokthuk & Thupka (Tibetan) dishes here. We personally like Datse & Mokthuk. You can find many different dishes of Tibet and Bhutan here and most of them are tasty & a bowl is enough for 2.
Authentic Tibetan food. The chicken wings and lamb thupka are must try.many more delicacies to try from wide range of Tibetan cuisines. All together good experience.
Superb Tibetan Cuisine! Dharmshala Food! We visited in month of March, 2021. And I always prefer to eat local dishes so, we have ordered Momo's and Tibtan Rice (Very healthy with all raw and boiled vegetable). This is one of the famous food point in Dharamshala. Please see photos of food price list and videos.
Best Food in the area Undoubted. Ordered Veg Fried Rice and Veg Dumplings soup. Average Cost for 2 person- 700/- My Advice- Sit on the balcony outside on the upper floor it adds to the experience. Overall great taste and ambience. Staff is friendly too. Highly recommended.
It has so many variety of Tibetan and Bhutanese food, especially if you’re non-vegetarian, and try the special drink of this place (fruit beer) too, only if you’re not conscious of sugar content.
This is a personal favorite. If you're looking for good Tibetan/Bhutanese food in McLeodganj, do give this place a try. Try their Datse with Tingmo and Momo's. Ask for the peach iced tea, it's really good. We tried Indian food too but I'd suggest you to go with their Tibetan and Bhutanese food, that's much better.
Centrally located place in the main Mcleodganj market, surrounded by a lot of stores and street shops. This place is a good spot to catch up on lunch while shopping, they provide a wide range of food, definitely try the Tibetan food.
It's my 9th time here I guess. I went for my favorites (Veg thupka and dumplings). The ambience is so nice (especially when there are not much tourists, thanks to covid: p).
Undoubtedly the best place for food, especially Tibetan in mackleodganj. Each dish is cooked to perfection, subtle aromas, tasty and enjoyable. Value for money Located dot on town square Highly recommended
Wow! The food was really good. But I loved the North Indian food rather that the Tibetan food. The thupka I had ordered was good but I have eaten much much better Tibetan food in Doon. Total experience was good.
Still I have to give star, so I gave this one, we were three and order steam momos and three masala tea, honestly worst experience, momos was truly raw and tea came without sugar, when we told them actually experience they start arguing with us, cheap hospitality and worst experience.
One of the best tibetan food to taste at mcleodganj.there is a wide variety of food one can get at Tibet kitchen.north Indian, continental but tibetan food is something which one should atleast give a try.must visit
I jave revisited Mcleodganj just because of this place and the yummy food they serve. Taste hasn't changed much in 3.5 years. They have continued to impress me till date. If you are visiting Dharamshala/Mcleodganj, do plan to visit here.
A home kitchen run by a lady and her assistants. Excellent service food prepare as per your taste. The owner takes care of guest. Great sitting arrangements. I will recommend this place.
