Decent hotel with great staff and breakfast. Good for people those who have plans to stay out whole day.

3.8/5 Choose the maple room if you're coming with family, as that only has good space & view. Other rooms are only for friends trip. There is no central Aircon. So heater rod will be given. Norm facilities don't expect anything great, neither it's very rudimentary. Hence just 3.8.4 stars would be can go eyes closed.

Nice Hotel with good rooms category as Delux Rooms, staff was very good and cooperative, breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and good for family stay, would like to come again.

Best place to reside near mall road. Overall experience was good, staff behavior was good, rooms were neat and clean and they offered good quality food.
But if you are planning to stay here then ask hotel person for near by parkings because this hotel is not offering parking due to location constraints

The biggest issue is parking. And, it's a bigg concern.

The service of the hotel is to good. The food is also delicious.we can see nice view from the top of the hotel. The interior design is very good.

Awesome experience excellent service. Neat and clean room. Very close to the Mall and Ridge. Only Parking is an issue for those coming with own car.

Room was spacious and clean. Service was always prompt and good. Meals are good, especially breakfast with many options. The only negative is the location since it is not accessible by vehicles. This poses a problem for those travelling with children and elderly persons.

The property and staff were good but the breakfast buffet and location wrt parking were horrible

Worst part of this hotel is you cannot take your car till the hotel and you have to park it in the parking for which you only have to pay.hotel will not pay for it + if ask hotel to send someone to pickup your luggage.you have to pay that also.

The place is really nice and the staff is really good and coperative. The rooms are good. I visited the place with small kids the kitchen staff prepared all from plain paratha to milk for kids.

They gives you totally different rooms as they shows online. Rooms with blocked view windows. They give complimentary breakfast with buffet system that contains 'dahi-paratha n chole-bhatoore' only. There are no sprouts no fruits no juice and no biscuit etc. There is no dental-kit no saving-kit no hand towels even you ask for these items.

This hotel is simply wow in each n every aspect be it location, staff, rooms, cleanliness or food. I just loved each n every bit of my stay of 3 nights. The Deluxe rooms are very big n spacious with a lovely valley view. The rooms were very clean and all the furniture was in excellent condition. Though bathroom is little small as compared to the room but then it is not a big problem. The highlight of the hotel is its food and location. The food is very delicious specially there puri bhaji and shahi tukda. The service is also very prompt. Location is just excellent bang on the Mall Road hardly a 5min walk. All in all an amazing stay with lots of fond memories.

The hotel is good for the price we booked it however it was a little far from the Mall road. There is no way to get your car to the hotel and so we parked in the public parking and from the parking this was a long way.

We initially had some issue with the view of the room which was addressed by the manager after the intervention of the owner since we showed them that we had booked a mountain facing room however it just made the overall experience a little sour. We asked for whiskey glasses and ice which were not available and this was surprising since the hotel is huge and Shimla being a tourist place we were expecting we could get the glasses and ice. Nevertheless the overall experience of the room and the rest of the service was good.

The breakfast was included in our room tarrif so we tried the same but I would say that the breakfast definitely needs some improvement since it was lacking the taste.

This hotel is inaccessible by any vehicle. You will have to climb uphill for roughly 600 metres to reach here. It's quite taxing given the steep climb and the luggage you have.
The surroundings of the hotel are not impressive, feel like a backyard of other buildings. View from the rooms is however decent, not directly into the valley but still open view from where you can see distant mountains.

Clean and cozy room. The staffs were very friendly. But we have to walk a mile to reach the hotel. Overall it was a lovely experience.

No vehicle can reach the hotel directly. Need to walk around 250m on steep gallis to reach.
Don't come here if hoping for beautiful views out of your windows.
Heaters were not available. If u r lucky and get one, pay 400 per night for it. But then the power switch was not working. Was waiting for the Electrician for 4 hours. Finally after some harsh language made them to change room. (Temperature was -2 degrees)
Restaurant is below average. Any of starters were not available. Many dishes are prepared in same grevy.

Our stay at hotel was very disastrous.
They show in pictures as if rooms are so spacious, clean n hygienic instead everything was opposite. There linens seems to be used previously and have stains. Surroundings were not at all pleasant it seems like backyard of some old building. Poor ambience. Not at all recommended by me n my family.

It was my WORST experience of life, no service. It was like a backyard of the buildings. No vehile was accessible. No balcony view for us, in the whole building there were only 4 balcony views. We had to climb almost 600m to 700m from the main road. We couldnt even find the so called MAHARAJA hotel. If there were 0 stars experience I would give that too. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

BE AWARE OF THE HOTEL LOCATION:
1. Not accessible by road.
2. Steep climb through narrow pathways, then negotiate broken stairs to reach the hotel.
3. Not recommended for elderly and those having problem climbing stairs or steep uphill climb.
4. With luggage - best of luck during the steep uphill climb.

The only plus point of the location - Relatively easy access to mall road.

Hotel Service-
The hotel rooms are good and comfortable, even though the room size is small. View from the rooms are ok.
Hotel staff is good and helpful.

Value for Money-
Just due to its inaccessible location, the the hotel is not worth more than 2.5k per night.

It was the worst experience. Never book a room here. It's located in a deserted place which is away from Mall road and no connectivity. If you are with family never opt for this hotel. Also the staff is very rude, location is worst and in morning there is lot of noise and one will see buildings from window.
I can't even give 1 star in any category.

Location is far away. When I booked it cost was 3840 incl taxes but at the time of check out I was forced to pay tax and extracted Rs 4350 approx. Even I told them not to incl tax.

Hotel is good, impressive service, best location to stay near Mall Road, Shimla. Staff is really good.

It was wonderful and memorable experience. Hotel infrastructure was very good. Staff was courteous and very prompt. Location of hotel was very good just 5-10 minutes walk from Mall Road. Food was good and service was excellent.

The hotel is at the end of road & u can't take car there. They charge extra for heater & power cut issue is v frequent. If u really want to climb a mountain or something u can book this coz after ur long day of site seeing it feels like a punishment.

2. Great staff and service. Ravi the manager in charge and Bharat bhai at travel desk do ensure quality in stay and cooperative drivers in travel.
3.very good food provided by on premises restaurant service.
4. Near to mall road if you like city area.

Cons
1. In VIP area so no vehicles are allowed till hotel and have to walk around 300 meters and that too steep slope.big problem if you have luggage/elderly people with you. Hotel does provide porters at chargeable rate for luggage.

2. Although the hotel is very clean and good in service. It doesn't have a balcony or nature view garden etc where you can relax and enjoy the beauty of simla which may be a let down for nature lovers
3. Near to mall road, same pro becomes con if you like staying away from commercial town

The hotel is at one end of Mall Road, after the Kali Bari temple; hence it is accessible by walk only. Also, the last 100-meter stretch to the hotel is a narrow pathway, and one might feel a bit uncomfortable the first time. But trust me, we (my wife, two kids and I) walked through there during early hours and extremely late hours and never encountered any issues. If you have a pram or wheelchair with you, this last stretch could be tiresome.
The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly. The first day when we returned late, almost close to the closing time of their kitchen, they called to our room to confirm we wanted to order something or not. The food was tasty.
Though our room, on the second floor, had almost no view, the lobby, which is on the fifth floor - the ground level, had a great view of the valley.

Can't find a direct contact number from anywhere.
It is as far as possible from the main road. If u r having too many luggage, it's gonna be a bad tracking experience to rich the hotel.
Otherwise I like the rooms though

Had a very bad experience, they won't tell you hidden charges, hotel is quite far from parking, it's a trek itself.

They lied our the view from their room, which is very bad, some old houses is all you will see.

Breakfast was not upto mark.

Me an my wife had a very good influence of the service and quality offered by Treebo group in our earlier trips. But sadly this was not the case here at Fingask.

Hotel location is not upto the mark but you can argue here that it is walking distance away from The Mall.

The place which they call restaurant is smaller than a Smaller room of a Dhaba. Dirty too.

Staff was very disgusting. My room TV connection was not working, i asked the service guy, you know what he said. Sir this is just problematic in your room and left the room without running any diagnosis.

On day one i pointed out the faulty jet system of the toilet seat (see in picture) and it was the same till we left.

There was no Soap dish in the washroom.

Overall very pathetic experience here.

One more thing, people might judge seeing the room pictures (the one i clicked they are also decent ones) but the pictures don't depict the reality.

Nice hotel for middle class people who want to enjoy their holidays in Shimla in limited budget.

Only problem is that you can't reach by car. But at Shimla it is expected that you will have to move some distance on foot.

This hotel is situated in a very good location, Kalibari temple is closely and the Mall road is walkable. A great view of the valley from the hotel. The receptionist is very welcoming. There are two entrances, the upper entrance is close to Kalibari temple. The restaurant is not that great, is good for snack items. While booking ask for the valley view.

Very bad experience, Far from mall road.
Not approachable by vehicle, you have to shift your luggage, up hills, Food quality. & service very pathetic.

Good and nest and clean place for its price. The only drawback was an extremely steep climb. Pay for porter fees and get your luggage up. Call us extremely hardworking or poor that we did that lugging ourselves. I will not suggest the same for anyone If you have anything that weighs more than 5kgs.

Okay food, good breakfast and an awesome view. Also extremely close to the ridge and Mall road. So overall. Great.

It's a good hotel for its price. Located pretty close to "The Mall". Staff is very friendly and rooms are neat and clean. Only problem is the approach. Taxis don't come to the hotel. They drop 500 mtrs before and then there is steep, very steep climb to the hotel. Best to request a porter that costs extra. But then you get an amazing sunset view also:)

Charged around 3k per room but room has windows opening towards garage side. Also, geyser button was always on and couldn't be switched off. Water was not exactly hot from this ever opened geyser. There was only 1 plug for charging. No view at all.

Nice hotel with good comfortablity, good blankets and room heater provided and location is nearby mall road, can be booked by making direct call to hotel which saves your 200 to 300 per day.

The Hotel is average and is quite far from the Mall Road. The travelling distance is tiresome. Not recommended as the same is not approachable by road.

Nice hotel, clean rooms and decent hospitality. Loved the location and the place as well. Near to mall road and railway station.

Average experience. Didn't hate it. Located well near the mall road. Food was below average. Worst Chilli Paneer and Masala Papad I ever had. Breakfast spread was alright. Location wise it's alright. Just have food outside depending on your palate.

Room is nice. It is located near to Mall Road. You can go to Mall Road in 10 minutes by walk. Breakfast Buffet is average. They don't provide Dental Kit, so bring in your own toothbrush and toothpaste.

In short “Worst experience overall”. Whose so ever is looking to book this property better refrain themselves or just bin your money.
-NO PARKING facility, you have to park your car in govt parking lot on main road with minimum Rs300 and than travel steeply with your luggage to the hotel (or pay Rs250 to the porter). The images of hotel shown by them are totally different. It’s at a congested place. Dirty bedsheets, pillows, wet fouling towels and much more. I stayed n room no 402.

Its a cozy place to stay by, 5mins walk to mall road, front side room has excellent view from room, backside room has no views. Nice services with friendly staff.

Superb Decent Hotel for families. But note: Nearly 1/2 km you can walk with your luggage means then only you can reach out this hotel. Because in this hotel licated in "Vehicles Prohibited Area". This is only the issue. Otherwise This very high class hotel.

Hotel is actually nice, staff is very polite, the rooms are clean. It was quit cold but the room had 2 blankets. It also had a teapot, tea and coffee, shampoo& shower gel but no toothbrushes and toothpaste, no hairdryer. The view from our room (2nd floor) was blocked by buildings but it's there from higher floors. For breakfast there was no buffet at the time, don't know how it's generally, it had few options to get in the rooms and food was mostly Indian. Hotel also had sewage problems at the time of our visit, so there was dirty water and small on the entry stairs. Hotel provides c-form to foreigners. I have Indian husband and we don't really look like married couple but yet, hotel didn't ask if we are married or not, so I guess it's couples-friendly hotel.

You have to carry your luggage? Approximately 1/2 km which is soo tough because of hill area.
Mall road is approximately 1 km from hotel.
Cost of hotel is high compare to other hotel.

It was less than average stay.
-The approach to the hotel is like going through hell, it's a very very steep climb and need to go on foot.
-Rooms were very small (oak rooms)
-Facilities were not as expected compared to price paid.
-Reception staff is not friendly, they reply u as they don't care.
-Breakfast was great though.
-mall road is 10 mins walk from 5th floor.
-No soap, shampoo, moisturizer in bathroom instead there was a body wash bottle fixed in bathroom.
-Very dirty towels they provided with stains while I requested to change they handed me same dirty towel again, so I gave up asking again to change it.
-The entrance to hotel is very dirty, stinky and full of garbage spread on stairs leading to hotel.
-No heater provided in winter.
-Tea maker was dirty and not cleaned properly (I guess it was not washed after prior use)
-Geyser takes too much time to heat water and after 1 bucket use u need to wait 10-15 mins for getting hot water.
-Overall not recommended for couples, families having old ages and bp patients.

Hotel is great. Rooms are beautiful. The reception staff isn't the most friendly/ supportive. Pricing is relatively higher than most hotels of equal standards. The room service staff is very good. Thanks.

This is Worst Hotel in Shimla. They have 200 stairs. They should have mentioned that in their Details. The Staff is totally Misbehaved and Incorporating. My Parents Had to Suffer a lot due to this Hotel.
