#TRIUND
Triund is a small hill station in the Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. Triund is alwas a wonderful, adventurous and breathtaking place ever as I have visited this place many times. Triund is also considered as one of the magnificent jewel of the Dharamshala, situated in the laps of dhauladhar mountains at the height of 2875 meters. It has the perfect view of Dhauladhar Mountains on one side and Kangra Valley on the other. There are many ways to reach this beautiful destination, one of which is from Dharamkot (Dharamshala), second one is from Bhagsunag (Dharamshala) and third one is from Bangotu village of Dharamshala. As per my experience route from Bangotu Village is quite hard, challenging and exhausting.

Great place to be! An easy trek, may be considered a little tough for a newbie.
Can easily be done in a day!

Easiest way to reach is to take an auto/cab to dharamkhot or you can take a small short route to dharamkhot by walk.

From there the actual trek starts, you get some maggi points on the way! Enjoy the view and chill out! Mesmerising view awaits at the top. Immerse yourself with nature.

Very beautiful trek.
Starts from dharampur in MacLeod ganj, 2.5 km way to gulu temple that can be covered in private vehicle or by rental car.
But those 2.5 km road conditions are bad so avoid using own vehicle.
Actual trek starts from gulu temple to triumd which is nearly 7-8 km, on the way every after 1.5 km there are maggie point.
.
On top of triumd top there are 8-9 tents and 5-6 rooms but there is no facilities, no signal, no washroom.
Overall trek is beautiful and enjoyable.
Most of people come and go same day.
It takes 6 hours to climb and 3 hours to descend.

Moderate to hard trek but worth the view and stay overnight. Started from bagsunag waterfalls / shiva cafe and while returning came from gallu temple route although Hena cafe route was more near for our hotel.
U can either stay in truid guest House camping costing 2-3k or 1.5kms down, costing 900 to 1000rs per head including tent stay with dinner and breakfast. Every 100steps u take gives u breathtaking views ️

We started from Bhaksu waterfall and it takes 6 hours to reach at top. It starts raining when we were on the steepest way and we were scared but overall its good experience. We get shelter and food after 30 minutes walk in rain because we were near to Triund top.

Great trekking experience. We need to travell 8km for getting into the top of triund but it is worth. The view from the top is just amazing it can't be express in words. You all should try the trekking for getting the view.

Being a avid hiker, let me set the expectations right from the start. Triund is categorized as an easy trek - but it's not a walk in the park. It's a 10km hike from Gallu Devi temple that gradually ascends till Magic View Cafe and then steeply rises to the top. It's easily one of the most knee jerking terrains as after you pass Magic View cafe, the trail is super rocky. We visited during Spring season and our trail was adorned with Buransh/Rhododendron flowers.

There are no views throughout the trail except a few times you can glance at Mclo below (I was pleasantly delighted at spotting the stadium). If you visit in cooler seasons you might spot some snow near to the top. As you approach one last turn, you're greeted with the majestic view of Dhauladhars. What a wonder it is. There is a short ridge if you want to traverse to nearby hills to behold other views and a single cafe which serves local food and packaged water, etc. If you want to do the trek in a single day, please pack light, carry a hiking pole, lots of sunblock and make great memories!

Happy trekking, please travel responsibly and don't litter.

Amazing trek during winter, full of snow after Magic view Cafe and snow becomes very slippery and the trek becomes even more challenging. Beginners, do not risk if going solo or without a guide during winters, best to take a guide during winters when there is snow. Guides are available at Gallu Devi. The view of the Dhauladhar ranges from the top is amazing.

One of the best trek in Himachal Pradesh, if you are a snow lover visit before mid March to enjoy the snow there. Amazing view, difficulty level of trek is not high if you are trekking from Dharamkot (Gallu temple) but if you are planning from Bhagsu point you will find it little harder (for beginners only). My advice is to start from Dharamkot kot and return from Bhagsu. I travelled here in mid March.

Triund is the crown jewel of dharamshala, situated in the laps of dhauladhar mountains, it has the perfect view of the dhauladhar mountains on one side and kangra valley on the other. Triund is a very popular trekking spot. Triund attracts a lot of tourist every year from India and all over the world. Triund trek can be described as a tranquil trek which can be easily accomplished by almost all age groups. Triund has an unambiguous by way which goes through a beautiful mixed forest of oak, deodar and rhododendron. Trek is fairly easy for the first five kilometers but the last one kilometer may require a bit of toil, the last one kilometer is popularly know as the “22 curves”. Along the way there are many small chai shops where one can refresh during the hike. The traipse is worth it as the panorama when you reach triund is awe-inspiring and exhilarating.

This place really have some magical views and adventurous trekking experiences.
We did trekking here in the early February when there was a hell lot of snow which made this easy trek really tough, challenging and also dangerous to be done without a guide.
So I would advice to do it with proper trekking gear (trekking shoes, trekking stick, waterproof gloves etc.)
But as soon as you reach the top all the hardwork pays of by rewarding you with wonderful majestic views of The Himalayas and The Dhauladhar Mountain range.

If some one would like to start tracking then it is the best track. It is 4 hours journey for person who is having 10000 steps in a day. Else it may take 5 to 6 hours to reach. Only last hill is bit steep rest all is easy. Osm place to visit in summer but people do track in snow. November to March is snowy track so not recommended rest of the season you can visit. This beautiful track.

Triund Trek is one of the most popular treks to go over a weekend from Delhi and Chandigarh. It is perhaps the easiest Himalayan trek to do on your own.

With breathtaking views of the Kangra valley and the snow-covered Dhauladhar ranges, it is also very picturesque.

Triund is the ideal destination for those seeking a hassle-free taste of trekking in the Himalayas. The trek can easily be done over a weekend.

The easiest hike you'll see for the MIDDLE Himalayas. Famous because any healthy person can cover it in 3 hours easy. Takes you from city centre to GLACIER in 5 hours.

Its a splendid place in certain environmental conditions. Its best scene in the night with full of stars. There is a option to camp on the mountains but on some circumstances the tending could be blocked. Its 6.5 km trekking. You would get a taxi ffom mcleod ganj after that you have to trek the rest

One of the best trek of Dhaulader range. This is also the route for the much longer Indrahar pass trek. You don't need to train for Triund trek but some level of physical fitness is necessary as it gets steep for the last 3-4 kilometres while climbing. The view from Triund is just mesmerizing. There are tents available to stay at the top and you should stay if you want to star gaze but it also gets quite chilly.

Nice trek for unwind your soul and strectch your muscles. The last part of the trek that is "22 Mor" or 22 curves is a bit demanding if one is not in a very good health state. Staying up there is really fun.one can hire tents along with matresses and sleeping bags. If staying overnight it is recommended to go for a 2 hours trek to Ilaqa. There you will find the last teashop of this mountain range by the name of Snowline cafe. Maggi, Rice and biscuits are readily available.

Its a must go place when you come to Mcleodganj. A 7 km trekking to the top of the mountain is worthy. The scene you get to see after reaching at the top of triund is amazing. The dahauldar hills are covered with snow and shining beautifully. 3 hours from bottom to up and 1.5 hours to get to the bottom again. Take a trekking tent, food, wooden to spend night. Its a really good trekking for the beginners who wish to climb big mountains. At the end, a must visit place.
25 नवंबर 2019 2:32
There are two ways to reach triund. From bagsu and dharamkot. The the bagsu when climbing up and while coming down take dharamkot. There is a car connectivity till the temple

Good experience after a long trek of 8hrs to the top. But it's cloudy here in August.this is not the best month to be here. No view. Filled with clouds everywhere.
24 अक्टूबर 2019 18:43
This place sure is splendid at sight but it has seen better days. With the rising number of tourist there is an ever rising in the pollution. Four star because it used to be a great spot.

Triund is super famous among wanderlusts. It is a small hill in the ap of mighty Dhauladhar mountain range. The atitude was 2750 meter on my gps watch. There are many ways to reach there, we went from Indrunag side. It took almost 3 hour climb with 5km distance to reach there.
Nowadays no one is allowed to camp there, just go there and come back in same day. One can plan their journey more further towards snowline, lahesh cave and Indrahara pass. The landscape is amazing here with beautiful views.
13 अक्टूबर 2019 5:03
The bestest moments can't be captured. Just experience! If you are lucky, you get a glimpse of our galaxy and a bunch of constellations. It's just heavenly!
26 अगस्त 2019 4:13

Awesome place to visit. One can get a wonderful experience of nature's beauty and a push for beginners to start treking and chose it as a passion.
28 जून 2019 22:02
Awesome place for camping.too scenic.moderate level trek.good crowd.but too crowded in summers.
Tents and sleeping bags on rent and basic food nd beverages are available at some small shops at the main point.
One can carry their own tent and equipment to experience real camping.
Open all over year but avoid rainy season. Carry woolens as nights are too chilly even in summers and it may rain anytime so carry light rain suits.
Winters are freezing and difficult so try only if you are too fit for that.
Carry your medications if you have any problems related to high altitude or breathing issues etc.
Do Carry torch with extra batteries.
If you are adventurous you may want to go ahead to a trek to glacier and even further.
