Triund Top Camping

[For foreigner esp Japanese] Although there is a rat inside the room, the owner didn’t offer any option. When we asked the other room or tent, the owner tried to charge double price or abused us in their language. FYI, the room charge was 1,200 for two and tent charge was 800 for two. There is no toilet, light, or network here. Moreover, chai tastes so bad like water.

Blankets were reused, there were mice in the room but they were left unattended, and the noise from group guests was terrible until around 2am. There are no staff who can speak English properly, so Japanese people are recommended to stay at the government accommodation nearby.

It was a great experience living in a tent with peaceful surroundings.
The mobile network was not stable at that peak.

The Triund area is beautiful, but there are too many people shouting and playing loud music

Nice & friendly people.
You can't expect luxury in such places, but you do get all the essentials. Good food, decent place to stay, blankets, tea, coffee etc.
All in all, a good option for staying there.

Mid difficulty level trek, it take around 4-5 hours to trek at the Triund campsite with very shorter breaks. Takes around 3-4 hours to come back to Dharamshala Naddi point. It has quite a steep climb and might take more than expected time for people who are not used to treking. Light weight back pack is recommended. Beautiful mountain range view at the top and has options for stay with limitations. Few in between stall are a good break points to refresh and start again. At the top you also have stall which provides snacks and Lunch (Daal/Rajma/Rice). Enjoy Guys!

This is amazing Trek in off season as there isn't much crowd there and one can enjoy the nature in its entirety. It is just magical a must visit for everyone. There are several tent options and three private guest house and one govt guest house to choose from, The guest house are decent considering the terrain. Heads-up to those who are planning to stay overnight there is no washroom there everything should be done in nature and once you attend to the call of nature please don't litter the place with plastic bottle as I saw many of them around.
I was told that this Trek use to be super crowded and thus one couldn't enjoy it. It is mandatory to hire a guide for this Trek and it is not allowed to carry alcohol to the trek and bags are often checked at the starting point where there is police outpost.

Pathetic place. Except for view, there's nothing. The view can be found anywhere. No toilets, no water, even small speakers aren't allowed. Would never recommend.

No toilets here n no water. Feel free to go anywhere in the open. Make due arrangements yourself as only mineral water is there! Also everything is real expensive try to carry as much food (maggie 80₹) & water (50₹) possible! Also it's so beautiful and worth it

Total 12km trekk. Plain areas are less. Its mostly rocky areas for the trekk.a little harder than kheerganga trekk. Vsiew is good.

It was a wonderful experience there. The perfect location of the cottage and you will get to see the perfect sunrise from the room.
They really provide a great hospitality to everyone, that I stayed there for 2 days and still I didn't feel like going back.
In one word the 'BEST' cottage in triund.

You need patience, never giving up attitude to reach such a height crossing, all forest, rocks, hieght, but once its done, the gateway to heaven will make you forget everything. Hard but worth.

Lovely trek, take a treking stick (Will get bamboo ones at the shop). Reach before 11.00 am as they don't allow after 11.00 am

Treck is tiring but worth it. DO NOT CARRY ALCOHOL/CIGARETTES. Will be confiscated at check post. DO NOT LITTER.

Beautiful place. Carry as much food as you can it will make your trip better because there is nothing like eating in a camp under sky and beside the Himalayas. It's just so much fun and it gives so much peace that I'll definitely go again for trekking.

Awesome view from the top. It's a 1 night 2 days trek. If you are finding an easy trek to go out in weekend from Delhi, then go for it.

Located at a height of 2842 m above sea level, Triund is a famous trekking. It starts from Dharamkot village, a few kilometres from Dharamsala. It's an average trek of around 5 km and then a steep climb of around a kilometre towards the end.
Imp tips: Start little early around 8 so that you can spend good amount of time on top of mountain. Its takes about 3: 30 hours to reach on top with slow walk.

Beautiful as it's unique mountain ️ region of Dhauladhar range, very refreshing after having hectic walks of steep up hill for two hours from Dharamsala.

Great experience climbing triund! At the top campsite the sleeping bags aren't very good and they don't give anything blanket apart from the sleeping bag. At magic view cafe while climbing red bull sells for 500. But while getting down the same shop gives it for 150.

It was fun spending time. Nice and cozy place to stay. Have fun while u go and see this place yourself because i had a really great day there. A well holiday spent above the clouds at dhuladhar door's.

It was a really good trekking experience. I loved the climate there and the beautiful scenery stole my heart. The rooms provided to us were really good amd had a mesmerizing view from out there. I wish to go there again

One of the best and beginner level trekking places in India. Must start trek for the beginner level trekking enthusiasts. The view from top is mesmerising covered with fog from the evenings and the tents there on peak point gives a different view. One will feel very satisfied after doing a long trek. 3 to 4 hours is the optimum time to complete the trek one side. Stay at night is preferred as the view from top in the morning is beautiful.

Our trek started from McLeodganj, we started on a trail surrounded with beautiful forest. We finished the trek by 5 P. M. It was the best and beautiful experience I've experienced.
