Victory Tunnel

Victory Tunnel is an important landmark in Shimla. The tunnel is a connecting median between the Cart road and the National Highway 22.  It dates back to the British era, when this engineering marvel was built to connect the city with important inter-city routes.

This on the route to Shimla from Kalka Station by Toy train. Though the journey is of 5.30 Hrs, it is very refreshing and quiet journey through Nature. This tunnel is one of the total 103 tunnel on the track.

Just stand at the location at night and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Shimla like a newly wed bride. The sculpture of Lord Hanuman which is visible standing on the top of the city like it's guarding the city at night and day, the curvy roads visible at different levels which connects the town are some of the beautiful scenery you can see at night. The photo which I have uploaded doesn't do much justice to the view at night. I will just say that enjoy with your own eyes.
