War Museum

Price is too much, there is nothing special to see, the war museum with it was good, that's all

Very good, the name of all war heroes attract me more.children park, war tank etc good as best

The purpose of this place is noble and makes you feel connected to the brave heroes who sacrificed themselves for the mother nation. But, in terms of a tourist attraction it lacks a bit, although the place is extremely pretty and peaceful, the maintenance could’ve been better. The staff at the ticket counter and entrance is very sweet and welcoming, it was nice seeing smiley faces and chat with them, full marks to them. The street food outside the museum is great would recommend you to give it a try once. Overall, would say it’s a must visit place to take a little break for city rush and sit under open sky.

If visiting Dharamshala you must go to the war museum.

All of the GALLANTRY AWARD WINNING MARTYRS and Battles are nicely displayed, and it's well maintained and managed.

The audio podcast for each Battle fought by Indian Army & stories of Martyr from Himachal Pradesh is the most significant component of the museum

Additionally, if you want to encourage youngsters to join Tri-Services, you must visit with family or friends.

The ticket costs 20/- to enter the War museum and war memorial park each.

Moreover, For serving personnel in Armed Forces the ticket is exempted.

Everyone live and struggle for themselves, but only they become immortal who live and sacrifice their lives for the nation.
Words can't describe the place, only eyes can Capture this Beautiful place and the information, about our Brave Soldiers from World War 1 till Now.
Only Respect and Pay Tribute to the Courage of our Soldiers, who did not let their Nation down.

Nice place for 1 hour trip, there are moniters that show information about army and World Wars. Many other army vehicles.

Not properly maintained being it's memorial built for our soldiers.

Other side war museum is good which great information about various wars won by our Indian Army.

Recently i visited this place and my experience was good as it located in center of dharamshala city and everyone who passed from city surely can see this place from outside.
This museum pays respect to the soldiers martyred during Kargil War and others.

Very beautifully built, being this close to nature.

Definitely a must visit if you are tourist with your family or even friends.

Can sit there, enjoy, click pictures and read about the brave soldiers of out nation.

Beauty of this place is its so naturaly build. Not so much time you required to visit this palce you can explore this place within half and hour easily. One star less due to drinking water and washroom facility i didnot find there.

I think if this is chargeable then you should definitely maintain this property. After all this one of our indian army memories.

War Museum is all about the Army's soldiers whom have contributed there life to the war.
Thry provided history of war. People whom have more interested in war history should must visit. Entry ticket is just 20 rs.per person. Overall its was emotional experience.

If you are expecting warfare toys and models, you are in for a disappointment.
But it will be compensated by a thorough audio video guidebooks and exhibits which if you peruse fully will engross you. It was a thorough reaseach presented in a simple and understandable way.
Those going to Dharamshala must visit this place

Its a mixed feeling of Pride and Emotions to be at this place. The memorial displays the names and photos of all those warriors who sacrificed their lives while protecting the nation. The Museum is a grand place to be at, the pictures of all the Param Vir Chakra Awardees are there with the details of their heroics. It also shows the Indian art of warfare from ancient times till the latest operations performed by our troops. Dharamshala is a lovely place and this war memorial and museum are worth visiting. Great place and a must visit. It will make you feel proud of our army especially the different operations undertaken by them. Their bravery, sacrifice and the dedication to keep the country protected. The museum is well organized and maintained. Each wall has interactive video content which you can listen to through your phone as well as the headphone provided there. The ticket price is modestly priced. Take your children and visit the museum with the entire family. Felt humble to be an Indian. The true sacrifice by our soldiers.

First thing uh'll find after visiting this memorial is Peace and Happy Surrounding. This is a perfect place to visit with your family or friends.

Fantastic little park with actual millitary machinery at display and allowed public access. Must visit infront of Dalhousie public school on the way to khajjiar. No tickets required.great for kids.

Good place to visit with family and very calm. Having children's park also.childrens will know about soldiers contribution and some war old equipments.

Not for youngsters, you might find it boring nothing much to see plus they have 20rs entry per person and 20 rs for car parking

The concept of the museum is too good.
One of the best museums located in North India which is made for the events of Indian war history and some pictures and statues of param Veer chakra awardees and other war awards. You feel so proud to see this sacrifices of Indian armed forces.
Headphones are available with audio in Hindi n English for each sections.
Entry fees is 30 rupees.

Sacred place of war memorial (having blue- black floor) should be clean on daily basis.
War museum & war memorial are good places to visit.

It was okay, good maintenance but guide or someone explaining it would make lots of difference.

They've designed slide displays that you can hear by wearing headsets, thanks to their extensive use of technology. You can also select languages such as Hindi and English. All the heroes of India's many wars are beautifully explained. The Indo-China war, the Indo-Pak war, the Kargil war, and other conflicts in which the Army, Air Force, and Navy have served our country. Even the param vir chakra, sena medal, Ati visist seva medal, param visist seva medal, and other gallantry medals are shown here with amazing explanations and the war heroes with the statute.

Though I'm a big fan of war memorials but it's not well maintained at the present time.
