Food is very expansive. For driver no rooms and food. Staff extra charges for food and rooms from drivers. I suggest you please take another hotel or resort.

Wonderful experience at urvashi.very beautiful hotel. Royal Suits was super luxurious. Staff is very supportive and friendly. The food was awesome. Hospitality is good.

WelcomHeritage chain was known to us as we stayed with a sister hotel in Shimla. We therefore had high expectations.

Great stay at urvashi. Loved the theme, property ambience. If one thing can be improved, it has to be the food.

Ultimate Family Holiday at Urvashi's Retreat

The only drawback was that when I booked this property, it was supposed to be a WelcomHeritage Hotel. Whereas when I went there, it was an unbranded yet a very beautiful property.

Apart from this, each and every one from the hotel team was impeccable at their job.
Kitchen is the main attraction. They simply cook marterpieces. Best Poori Bhaaji I have ever had!

Don't look anymore, Book this One!

Good stay and food is wonderful. The head chef and his team were from rajasthan and cooked delicious food.

A true oasis of comfort and relaxation. This hotel exceeded all expectations with its elegant decor and attentive staff.

It was pleasant stay with my family, it surrounding of beating snow ️ mountains with cool breeze. Was in centre location Manali, hotel provides with tasty food.

Superbly crafted rooms, snow capped views all around.especially from the restaurant.the sauna and spa add great value.

WelcomHeritage chain was known to us as we stayed with a sister hotel in Shimla. We therefore had high expectations. Let me break it down:
Location -
Its an adventurous drive there and you go via a really delicate looking bridge - in the snow, you have to be careful. When you get to the hotel, it’s absolutely stunning and very very cold.

Reception -
I had very unfortunate interactions with the receptionist who wasn’t really capable of a healthy conversation and seemed like a programmed robot with preset very few answers. After coming from Shimla where the receptionists were very well spoken, this was a stark contrast. There was also a very silly issue around billing checkout time which took them far too long to understand.

Rooms -
We stayed in Rohtang View Rooms - very sizeable but totally made of wood/timber. This is a big big problem when it’s always sub zero temperatures in Manali Winter Season. My parents were extremely cold in their room even with the heaters and extra blankets. Please note they don’t have actual room A/C unit - they only have separate room heaters which simply does not suffice. Amenities in the room were average but we were able to get by.

Breakfast -
Breakfast albeit very cold was very enjoyable. It was at breakfast we met the only member of staff who honestly did a great job! Unfortunately can’t remember his name. You get a menu which changes during the week where you can order whatever you like from.

Corkage/Dinner charge -
For dinner on the first night, we went to support a local dhaba where we got a bunch of great food. We couldn’t finish it on the first night and therefore kept it safely in the fridge. The following day when we were relaxing in the common Lounge area with the fire; my dad asked them if there was a microwave facility we could use to heat the food. Our usual staff member who accompanies us at breakfast said yes sure and took our food away. It was at this moment where the other staff member who frankly spoke way too much for his own good says “if you take the food back to your room, we can call it square; but if you want to use the lounge (which was fully empty) at the time you will need to give me 500Rs cash; I’ll be waiting for you here”. This was a bit startling and genuinely was shocked; we were so tired and wanted to eat comfortably at a table, decided to go along with it but I have since regretted being inadvertently part of a bribe situation. You need to realise that we would have zero issues if the hotel charged 500Rs legitimately for corkage charge and put it on our room to settle at checkout. However, for a dodgy staff member to say “he’s waiting there to receive CASH” was just very unsettling and disappointing. This also directly contradicts the no direct tipping of staff policy the hotel plasters over its reception!

Summary -
There’s a lot of potential in this residence but lots of scope of improvement. I do think it’d be a lovely place to stay in spring/summer. However, I’d not be happy to recommend this residence in the Winters of Manali!

Place you will for the view and surroundings. I stayed there for 2days ans everything was good. The stay was pleasant. Food was good.
Only suggestion to resort is that considering the location, they should provide cab pick up/drop to near by area let say at least till cafe 1947.
I loved it and my stay was comfortable.

Great view, over priced, less crowd, breakfast options sucks be it buffet, rooms are great and warm

Best Luxury property. Location is perfect surrounded with snow clad mountains. Highly recommend.

It's a fantastic hotel offering great views all around. My wife and I visited this place for lunch and drinks. The food was superb, with a homely touch to it, and the staff were courteous and discreet. Mike's Tavern, the bar, is a chilled out place to hang around. While we missed out on staying here, we did take the opportunity to take some great photos inside the property. Lastly, the gift shop is well worth a visit to grab a souvenir. Recommended!

We visited Manali in latter part of June. We wanted to take our Golden Retriever with us. It was his first trip and we needed a resort fully accommodating of dogs. That’s when Urvashi’s Retreat came to the rescue. The resort, the staff, the beauty and the food and facilities of this resort is top notch. It’s unbelievable how underrated it seems. If you’re going to Manali, don’t ever miss out on this. My family is already planning to stay here for our next every trip to Manali.

The staff were so polite and so helpful. We had to leave at 4am in the morning back to our city and they even packed 30+ sandwiches and fruit juice packs so we don’t leave hungry! And they didn’t even charge for it. These people are too kind. Sending lots of love to each and every one of them. Also, a huge shoutout to their bakery. We would eat 2-3 things everyday from their bakery and even request something of our choice if it wasn’t available. On the last day, we figured it’s the owner making them! They’re amazing and so yummy, definitely try it. Every staff was super loving to our dog. We didn’t have to tie him up in lot of occasions and he was able to run around and play freely.
They even have a beautiful stream coursing through the resort and you can hear its peaceful sound all day. The rooms are gorgeous and gives you a vintage feel.
And not to forget, the resort is full of trees with fruits. The staff even gave us some haha. I’ve never been to a place with staff this kind and loving.

One of the staff member, Prakash, even texted us later if we reached safely. And sometimes texts till date to see how we’re all doing! He’s an amazing person and made us feel so much at ease there. Definitely look out for him

I went here with my ma'am and sir, This resort is located on Manali Burwa Road, in praise of it, I will say that I have not seen a better location and resort than this in Manali.there is big flowers garden apple orchard, inside the resort, very beautiful resort,

We had a lovely time in this beautiful pristine and well maintained property. We had five rooms and we had kids who are teenagers.
The pool table was a big entertainment for the kids as well as the table tennis table outside.
The only suggestion that I give the owners were to improve their FNB services which were not up to standards. The best part was the location and their house keeping

It's a fantastic hotel with all the luxurious amenities. And it's truly beautiful. We visited the place in the first week of June. The gardens, and the apple trees with small apples are amazing. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The snowy mountain view is a gorgeous sight. The food is delicious. The staff is very kind and helpful. Overall a great stay in Manali.

Stayed at Urvashi's retreat for 5 nights.
Things I liked:
1. Staff is friendly and helpful.
2. Room was spacious.
3. Indian food was lip smacking and menu was reasonably priced.
4. Property is new and well maintained overall.

Things that disappointed:
1. Room was not well lit, it was all yellow dim lighting. Some white light or atleast ample lighting were must.
2. Ordered pasta which was below average. Had only Indian cuisine afterwards.
3. We used to keep empty drinking water bottles and jug outside on table everyday for refill and nobody ever refilled it or asked to clean the room. Needs massive improvement in this regard.
4. Service needs a major upgrade at the price point being charged.

I have booked this hotel in april.i am trying to contact it but no respond. All contacts information is valid. I am not even sure if it is operational. I have a booking in next 12 days. Please revert to me as soon as possible with the right email id and contact details.

Definitely a par excellence benchmark created by team @urvashi retreat. Excellent service and hospitality.

I had this conversation with a gentleman, then present at the front-office, and whom I have seen occupying an office room for his daily work, visible from our room no. 12. Let me leave it at that as I don't want to shadow our pleasant stay at UR with this small issue. Nevertheless, I'm sure, you will look into it. Regards.

Let me say at the outset that Urvashi's Retreat is just not any resort, it was an experience albeit a memorable one.
Location: The resort is located 5 kms away from the crowd and traffic snarls of Manali, and is a perfect place for somebody looking for an escapade from the gas-chambers of city life (you can guess where I'm from). One can ditch the dirty Solang valley to spend all their days at this resort. One can also plan short treks from this location. It is an ideal spot to relax, enjoy the silence of the town, gaze at the snow-clad peaks, and most importantly breathe.
Property: It appears that Ms. Singh has left no stone unturned to make the property and its cottages a lavish one. The wooden cottages are a sight to behold and anyone with taste would highly appreciate the same. One can spend hours in the widely spread balconies, with a book and basking in the pleasant Sun. The wooden cottages and its upkeep shall always be fresh in my memory, and the rumbling of the late night winds over the cottages, is a sound which shall always be vivid; as I have rarely heard of such wind laden with such spirit. That was quite an enjoyable experience.
Cuisines: This is something, one cannot miss. UR has an exquisitely curated menu; and one shall be spoilt with choices. We went diverse with our options over a span of 3 days, be that from Laal Maans to Chinese and to the sandwiches. Breakfast spread was modestly good. The chicken-club-sandwiches were my personal favourites, and I'm sure you will end up asking for more. The cottages are far away from the main dining hall and the attendants were still quick in serving hot food from the kitchen, even in such unforgiving weather conditions. However, I would suggest every guest to dine at the dining hall, as that was a great experience all together.
Check-in: Although I should have started with this point, unfortunately, this wasn't so smooth in my case. I have deliberately kept this for the latter, as I did not want to start with a bitter note, for we had a lovely stay at UR.
I had specifically requested for a 1st floor room, vide Agoda and had also called the reception-manager twice after payment and before the commencement of my journey. Sadly, at the time of check-in I was told that no 1st floor rooms were available, they were subject to availability- and the rooms allotted were pretty dark, wall-facing and bit damp considering the harsh winter. We were told by the manager that such requests are often made by guests, and they were in no obligation to accommodate the same. I was deeply hurt by 'requests are often made by guests' comment of the Manager-in-charge, and decided not to check-in, in spite of having made the payment. We had to be assertive after a polite request, and it is then the Manager said that two 1st floor rooms were available, and we were a bit let-down by this change of stance and did not expect this from such a premium resort (the good experiences which have been shared as aforementioned). However, I would still treat my check-in experience as a localized incident and definitely don't intend to express this as a norm.
All in all, it was an 'I would love to come back' experience. Thank you team UR.

From the moment we walked in the entrance to Urvashi's Retreat we were thoroughly impressed. Every nook and corner was a visual delight. The interior decor was upscale yet cozy and inviting and the staff we encountered were all very pleasant and accommodating. The room was squeaky clean and adorned with artsy wooden furniture. It gave us a log-cabin feel yet had all the comfort and warmth that we would need. The view fom our private balcony was absolutely stunning! The food was equally wonderful, from preparation to presentation, it was very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet spread, apple toddy and the flavourful pizzas. Overall an amazing stay! Highly recommend this Instagram-worthy boutique hotel located in Shanag, Upper Manali. ️

One of the best Retreat I had visited recently. Food, service and the serenity of the place makes it excellent for spending the holidays.

I’m thinking I shouldn’t give it 5 stars or write this review cuz then a whole lot of other people will get to know about this amazing place and it might get ruined… but, thinking on a positive side.hope the popularity will help this place become even better … all the best

Beautiful place. Great ambience. The rooms are tastefully done. In fact, everything in the property is really well thought out. If you’re looking for a laid back retreat, warm hospitality, great food and luxurious rooms, go for it.

This is hands down one of the best places in Manali.

Note: 4 stars because there was slight ambiguity about the room category I booked. The website mentions my room (8) in the deluxe/Rohtang view category while I booked a superior/Brookside category.

You will find everything in this property. One of the best property, with great food, great staff, awesome location, superb views.
We will definitely recommend this property to everyone and make a revisit very soon.

The property is beautiful and so is its location. Rooms are very good. Martha the masseuse was excellent and the Spa experience was good. The food was ok but the folks there were helpful and very accommodating. We expected welcome group service and hence were dissatisfied with the front desk folks (Rakesh) who were not very helpful. Asked only 2 things of them and for both they never got back and we had to follow up. Folks who took us to the room didn’t connect the TV or the kettle. Non of the staff spoke English not even the manager. Giri the manager was never seen the 3 days we were there and we were asked to call him up for follow up rather than the other way round. Overall a good experience and will go back for its beauty and ambience, but #urvashiretreat needs to up their service.

It's a beautiful property. The food is also very very good. It's an offbeat property in old manali.

While entering Urvashi Resorts, we were skeptical. The roads were narrow from the small bridge and approach was little away from mall. But once we stayed for 4 days, our views were completely reversed. The property is beautifully taken care of. Great feel of mountains, delicious food and great smiling and helpful staff addressing us in Rajasthani respectful words. We have decided that our next stay is definitely here for at least ten days. THIS IS Home away from Home.

I booked the place after reading great reviews but to my surprise the hospitality is completely missing.
In the room one can always hear the noises from the adjoining room which is a constant source of disturbance.
The buffet is closed 10 minutes before time. The restaurant staff always tries to hurry and is not very friendly.
They have charged 200/- for a small glass of milk I asked for my 2 year old child and 350/- for plain khichdi. I payed it all but to charge such exhorbitant amount for child’s food is in bad taste. In good hotels all this is complementary.
They keep permanent bottles for shampoo, lotion, and other toiletries so that plastic waste is not generated. But I broke a lotion bottle by mistake and they charged me 500/- for that. I was so shocked and then their is no responsible manager to talk to. All those present are lower staff who just keep repeating that this is what they are told to charge and that they can’t do anything about it.
Only good rooms doesn’t make a good hotel. What matters is the hospitality. I have been to many places but this is the first place where hospitality is so abysmal. I books it for two nights and left it instantly to book another place in Manali.
Is a responsible person from hotel management is reading this kindly improve the things otherwise your rude staff and such random charges doesn’t do good to your place’s reputation.

A stunningly beautiful getaway in Shanag village of Manali. It's close enough to the town (Club House) to be at walking distance, but also far enough to be completely removed from the tourist hustle bustle. The 360 views of the mountain ranges are stunning. The villas and rooms are luxurious. Service is very attentive, and staff is warm and welcoming. But it can be patchy in terms of delivery. The kitchen is especially error prone. Irrespective, the little niggles can be easily forgotten given the splendid experience of being in this place.

It is a little further from the main city. Picturesque cottages. Ideal place to experience snow. The food is also very good. Good for a family holiday.

Beautiful hotel with great location, i selected Duplex room.wonderful staff. Giriraj (Reception). Om Parkash (in restaurant). They are handling guest very politely.food is also tasty. Overall everything is fine except geyser.
