WestWood Villa

Just Amazing! Everything about the villa is perfect. Located 2 km away from all the hustle bustle with clear views. The staff is super helpfull, they prepared amazing meals for us and also helped us organize barbeque and bonfire.

Hi to all I really want to share my experience regarding the stay from 4th March to 9th March 2023.
The stay was good I will say but I want to talk about the owners and the care taker their.

1. While taking the booking they said we have a room for drivers which I specifically asked them. I asked them where is driver stay they said very sweetly they don't have i paid Rs. 3000 extra for my driver stay.

2. Where ever we go there is normal thing of a cattel and they serve with tea bags and milk powder. Which they don't have at all on other hand at the time of booking they said tea and coffee is there. So they charged me approx Rs. 1200/- which is very nominal for 5 days stay but what I don't like after saying it's free they charged me.

3. They don't have centrally heated rooms they have heater which is no use at 1 degree temperature so we use to keep hot water bottles for warm our blankets.

4. About meals breakfast is free but they don't have choices and cook is very bad they can't calculate how much to make so sometimes breakfast was made twice and tooked double time to make chole and alloo sabji.

5. The location is very far of from mall road and at the time of booking old manali cafe is 2 mins walk, it tooked me 10 mins from my car. Roads are very bad to reach to villa.

6. Gyser r very small according to weather condition in manali.

7. Care taker surinder ji is gud to talk but he think that he should get all tips on first day. If you ask him to explain he tries to manuplate the things.

My overall experience was not good. So people should think before visiting the place. My coordinator at time of booking was Mr. Sandeep and Mr. Puneet.

Perfect place to plan a vacation with group or even family. Mr Sandeep coordinated since the start of our search for booking to the end of our stay and made sure our (group of 8,3 couples 2 singles) stay goes smooth and easy. He assisted with every help/suggestion we needed be it our tour plan or local adventure activity contacts or support. We had a couple with a child and he was sceptical with his child's meals or comfort stay, Sandeep cooperated and cleared every doubt and stay was exactly how he explained. Further, we also got a bonus stay in Rosette and a complimentary bornfire. Both the managers of Rosette: Mr Pulkit & Westwood: Mr Puneet, they were equally prompt and super friendly to assist us with anything we needed. Staff in both places were very generous, food was great too with worthy price, you shouldnt miss it!

we enjoyed every minute of our stay, this trip wouldnt have been this memorable without such stay, a group of friends alone isnt enough but such hospitality made it possible. Both the places were very hygienic too! That was the only concern I had.

Thanks to Sandeep, Pulkit & Puneet! I felt as if Im dealing with friends and not someone who is money minded or just concerned with business.

This place is a paradise. I visited with my family in January and the cottage was covered with Snow. I should rather call this a house in the Winterland.

Services are absolutely amazing. The hosts of this place are very knowledgeable, transparent and communicative.

I am looking to visit here again very soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at Westwood. The hosts and staff were very welcoming and warm, they were always available to help us. The villa was beautiful, with all facilities, bonfire at request and delicious food. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

I absolutely loved my stay at Westwood and would definitely plan to visit again. It’s so picturesque that I didn’t feel like leaving. The hospitality is top notch. Surender ji, Subhash and Suresh, the caretakers of the property were all very warm and gentle towards their guests (including pets). I was travelling with my lab and he was taken care of so well too. So, a big shout out to them. Also, the place is very well maintained, just loved the aesthetics. Thank you Westwood for hosting us.

A beautiful place for large groups. You get a lovely view of the valley.

The food they serve is very tasty. Staff is also very supportive.

We had a great time at this property. It’s a little pricey but secluded from the main area which is exactly what we wanted. It’s a 8 minute drive from Mall Road. Last stretch of the route is a little bumpy but I’m hoping it’ll improve in another year or so. The staff at the property is really nice, they make sure you’re comfortable and all your needs are addressed. The host was also very helpful and arranged for a cab for us to explore the nearby areas. It’s a must visit if travelling with a large group as they have different areas setup for you to chill along with a bonfire setup right outside the porch area. All in all a good option to consider. It was one of the best stays I have ever had. Awesome Experience. Kudos to the outstanding team behind the scenes for making our stay a memorable one.

One can be at the property for weeks and still experience something different every other day. The cottage is beautifully designed with care to every minute corner. Very clean and well-maintained. We would love to visit here again.

Beautiful property and helpful staff! It's little away from mall road but that's the best part. Property is tastefully done and very comfortable!

Westwood Villa has a lot to offer. Beautiful view from the place. A cottage beautifully designed with lot many elements. Staff is super helpful and provide delicious meals. Would be visiting here very soon.

Stay at Westwood Villa was an absolute delight. We spent 4 days at this place as a group of 9 people and the place was much more than enough to absorb even more.
The place is very tastefully designed, absolutely peaceful, away from the city hustle and bustle, with fantastic views of the hills and valley.
Food was very homely and the staff members were very hospitable.
Mr Rawat from the staff team is a great cook and a great care taker.
All requirements and requests were quickly taken care of.
We look forward to our next visit.
Lastly, the Eden Homes team [or the Management] consisting of Mr Puneet, Mr Pulkit and Mr Sandeep are a great team. They have been very accommodating with all our last minute plan changes and did everything possible to make our stay a memorable experience.
Watch-out: The approach road is a slightly tedious to drive up, as the location is in a really peaceful yet approachable place close to top of Manali hills. But that is nothing that should stop us from visiting this place. Cars and bikes can easily drive up to the door steps of the property, with a little skill applied:)

If you are looking for something that is near touristy location yet peaceful with personalized services, this is recommended. From the staff members to the owner, they are available to make the stay memorable.

Westwood villa is one of the best property to stay with friends or family. This was a second time we were staying there. It was an amazing experience. View is great there private cafe in property is bonus. Sandeep is a great great host. He has no boundaries when it’s come to serving his guests. I personally advice you to book this Villa.
You will thank me later.

A stay at westwoodvilla was our best holiday stat ever. Hospitality at its best location of the hotel is mesmerizing. It was like a hone away from home to us. Thankyou sandeep (host) for having us. I wana come there again soon.

Westwood's location makes it one of the attractive home stay in Manali. I stayed with my family from 5th to 10th December 2021 and my experience was very enriching. Staff's warm attitude makes you feel at home. Food quality is very nice. The view from Westwood is worth every penny. In all, a great experience for my parents and myself.

Property was not up to the expectation, pictures have been taken by a good photographer. Owner doesn't care about your issues, even when you are dealing with them all alone during late hours. Just imagine if you have to negotiate with neighbours each day for parking on your own and it's 11 pm in the night and raining. Some people don't understand the meaning of hospitality, the industry they operate in. Review for 1 week stay in August

This is what is luxury redefined - Traditional Himachal setting with a mix of modern sanitary ware and crockery! Service is excellent and so is the location.

The place is spacious enough to even host 20 travelers at ease. We were 12 people, most of us were aged (50+), but the stay was very cozy and felt like home. Special credits to the house help there.

Definitely revisiting this place.

Located at the top of hill. Rooms are pretty clean. Food is good. Snow capped mountains and manali city View from top.

We had a great time at Westwood.

The place is just so awesomely designed and decorated. Waking up to those beautiful views was an experience in itself. The bed rooms, bathrooms, common rooms, game/ TV room- everything was perfectly functional and the interiors just lit up our mood. We also met a couple of stray dogs who stay around and are very playful.

The staff was readily available and was very warm and helpful. Any food, any snack or even if you want to setup a bonfire- they're there to help.

The location is very close to mall road as well as old Manali which has great cafes.

Westwood team gave us a good number of recommendations for places to check out. We tried some of them, Sissu Village, Dylan's Cafe, to name a few and they were all awesome.

Stayed for a week with family including infants. First a bit of what went well
1. Great views of manali since it is almost at the top next to forest
2. Common area is really good.
3. Good internet speed for WFH, almost 30mbps

Now the reasons for one star.
1. Pathetic condition of the steep approach road due to which we couldn't bring car to the place. Even the caretaker said he struggled to do it and advised parking elsewhere.
2. We asked for help with an alternative parking space from day one but didn't get any. Had to deal with hotels and residents nearby everyday to allow parking, including when we returned late at night.
3. Lack of support in general. Asked for repair of a bathroom door from day one which didn't get done.
4. Lack of security. No keys for individual rooms provided despite asking
5. Bathrooms are very small and have no ventilation. One of the rooms is damp due to water seepage nearby.
6. Food is average at best
7. Staff refused to drop-off luggage to our car which was parked far away down a steep road. It was raining and we had to manage it ourselves with infants. Seems like the staff lost interest when they realized there is no tip coming and the owner lost interest when he realized there is a one star coming

Overall, while the property is decent, it is too costly for the service levels provided and the inhospitable staff.

Amazing stay at this cottage. We stayed here for 5 days in August. It is one of the best locations in that entire location. This is 5 min walk from Hadimba temple road.
One can sit in the lawn the whole day, sip coffee/tea and work from there seeing the beautiful mountains. Puneet was a wonderful host, he answered all our queries and arranged whatever we asked for. His staff was very welcoming and adjusting. One could always see the staff smiling, they cooked for us as well and you can always ask them to prepare their best meals. The most important piece of information is that they have wifi UPS so that people like us can take meetings without interruptions. This was unbelievable because they are so particular about guest's requirements. I would love to go again. It is more than worth the money.

Overall best experience so far.

Location – It is on the hadimba templte road, 10 min from mall road. I cannot think of any other location better than this one. I could say this because i travel a lot and i know the area very well.

Food – Breakfast options were provided by the staff every morning. The staff prepared our other meals as well and the food was above average for me.

Work from home – Wifi router installed with power backup was just icing on the cake. Seamless connection.

Staff is very welcoming and adjusting. They are always a call away and always happy to help. Highly recommend.

While checking out on our last day from Westwood Villa - Jeevna Didi and Prakash asked us how would you rate us.and i said 11/10. And we truly meant that. For 45+ days, Westwood was our home in the hills and Didi, Prakash, Pritam and Neetu became our extended family. And the most adorable part of the trip was the most beautiful dog we ever met - Blackie. Its important to state that i am averse to pets, but the bonding with Blackie was something else.

So, why 11/10. And there innumerable reasons for that. Read on:

Location - I dont think there's any other location in Manali better than this. Its right on edge of the hill at Nasogi Village and offers panoramic snow clad view all across. Hamta Pass peaks right in front, with the mesmerizing Manali valley to complement it. And Rohtang Pass mountains on the left side. The visuals are straight out of a painting. We could just keep staring and soaking the magnanimity of nature in front of our eyes. And the proximity to Hadimba temple and Mall road just added to the comfort. We could walk down to Hadimba in 15min and Mall road would take about 25 through the van vihar. The balcony on 1st floor was our daily chai, coffee adda.

Beautiful Treks - There are 5 different trails and treks right from the backyard. Each one with a distinctly different beauty. And our host Pritam would walk us down on some of these. The best one was half way to Lamadugh - we named it Maggie point. It was a surreal experience. We carried utensils with us and cooking maggie right up in the mountains and meadows so exhilarating. We did that trek 5 times atleast. Inspite of Himachal being in lockdown during our stay - the freedom we enjoyed walking and wandering in the mountains - was unparalleled.

WestWood Villa - the villa itself is very well spaced out. It has 3 clearly designated bedrooms, plus 3 other reasonably sized rooms - TV room, library, attic and a room overlooking the lawn. Plus store rooms, all equipped with all essentials - washing machine, micro wave, fridge etc. For the 45 days, 6 of us were working from home and we found ample space for ourselves to be on video calls through the day. There's an airtel tower right behind, which promises bandwidth better than what i have seen in Mumbai, Bangalore. The mobile hotspot was our window into our virtual work from home. And it didnt fail us even once. The kitchen is huge and well stocked with all that you need to cook. While bfast, lunch and dinner is all provided by Prakash and Didi, we did cook exotic dishes quite often. The highlight though were our barbecue grills in the lawns. The full moon would add a lot of drama to the night.

People - our trip wouldn't have been half this memorable if we didn't have the people around. The friends we went with and new friends we made there - our hosts. We celebrated birthday together, partied and shared loads of stories with them. They are all amazing humans.

Last but not the least, i cant compliment and thank Sandeep enough - the owner of the property. The relation that we developed with him over the last 6 months - from the time when i first spoke to him for booking. He has been a perfect host - catering to every minor request we had. And while we were checking out - something that he said will stay for a very long time - "come back again to your home in the hills". Yes Sandeep, we will be there again.soon.

We stayed here for 5 days and this villa is perfectly located with a mind blowing view. The services were awesome as the staff is well trained here. I would highly recommend for family and friends and even employees who would like to work from here.

View from this villa is awesome. The common area is very spacious.

Best place to live if you want to avoid the hustle bustle of the city.
Caretaker (Pritam) is best and also was our guide to a trek to Lamadugh. Totally worth the experience if you stay here.

The pictures of this place do not lie. It is one of the most picturesque stays in Manali. It is at a hieght but cabs do reach there. The same road connects hadimba temple, jhonson's cafe and mall road.

The housekeepers are extremely friendly and they take their job seriously. Very good food was served in breakfast. You can customise your breakfast by talking to the housekeepers.

Superb villa. And the view from the balcony is just amazing. The common area in the hall is very well thought of and built keeping in a mind a group of 10-12 people. Nice property. Though the caretaker Prakash isn't that friendly but the breakfast served by him was decent. Since this is a part of hospitality he should be taught some etiquettes as to how to talk to guest which would be helpful and work in favour of the owner only in the long run
Spacious kitchen with all utensils. Clean rooms. Perfect for bachelors and family as well. We were a group of 12 and stayed there for 5 days and would have definitely extended if our return tickets were not booked. It was raining on the last day and the mountain views was just a visual treat standing in the balcony
Location is near hadimba temple and on the top which is accessible by car or tempo traveller.
Kudos to the owner for making such a wonderful villa as he had rightly told us that it is close to his heart which I won't deny after staying there

This is Villa is the worst one. Staff are terrible.care taker guys were worst and indifferent.i went with family and they have no consideration.rooms are worst quality. Gyers is not working and beds have bugs in it.gloomy ambience.it is a mess in the middle of a messy location.otherwise guys don't book this villa at all.worst experience of my life.

Perfect place to stay in manali though its a bit far from mall road but perfectly located if you are looking for a quite and peaceful place to stay. Host (puneet) is super nice he helped us in all the things and even after leaving he guided us on few things on our way out. We had a blast and property is well maintained by the caretakers who are the real gems to help you out with anything you need. Caretaker (prakash and family) are so sweet and cooked amazing food. Worth every penny. Cottage has eveey reason to go and stay.
