Zostel Dharamkot

Very greedy host.
We had booking for a week, on the day before the arrival our flights got cancelled, due to extreme bad weather (floods). With no possible way to reach the destination.

Inspite of letting them know and inspite of their website suggesting only 21% non-refundable deposit.they refused to refund any money, charging us 100% for the entire week.

What sort of sick people do that.

I would never choose Zostel no matter where I go.

Stayed here for a night. But on the recommendation of fellow travellers shifted to another place

But overall the experience was good.

The staff was kind enough to find and return my apple charger that I accidentally forgot in the dorm.

Quick.humble.tasty.i think i have said enough. Also superb place to live. Vibe is damn good here.

Quite noisy. The ambience is good but not one for couples! The staff was nice and friendly.

Always the best. If you are out with your friends then zostel should be the only option for accommodation. Totally meant for staying with friends. Zostel is also very picturesque because of the way it is built and the graffiti is just amazing.

The Best Hostel Ever.
Everything about this place, starting from it's ambience to the staff, is simply perfect. Kudos to all those who are behind making this place the best property I've been to in my life!

Definitely the place to stay for real peace lovers, good clean rooms, has WiFi, has got water in bathroom, drinking water hot n cold outside room, salvation cafe, food all day long, vegan cookies, upper deck terrace to work in peace and have cozy sun vitamin D3, only small cars like alto can reach to final destination, taxis will drop you at Himalayan tea store no more further by Wal it is like 0.7 kilometres, last part is steep n uphill. Or else pay 150 to 200 rs. From taxi drop point to zostel. Once you are in you will not go anywhere. There this Heena cafe just opp. To it for variety of fresh cold press juices, laundry is just below 80 rs. Kg. You get fresh breakfast n snacks at the small tin cafe owned by Ravi.
And the people manage zostel are too good ppl, especially Karan n Anshu. Guys who cook in kitchen will not let you miss your Ghar Ka khana.at night if mauhol is right with right people around camp fire is a kick in the place. And yeah there are many friendly cozy dogs around, don't be scared they are extra friendly n are won't bite or scare you. Food is yummy. Anshu n Karan are helpful enough to guide you thru everything you would like to know. Do co ordinate n visit sunset n shiva cafe just 30-50 minutes away depends on how easy you are to walking uphill. Everyday evening you can play volleyball just 20 ft away from zostel with local boys. Soon I will visit zostel again.

Amazing place, sanitized and hygiene well maintained. Karan & Anshu have been superb hosts to us. Food is awesome. Cheers to the chef.

Good stay for youngsters although bit of steep climb in final leg to reach the property.nice staff, nice common area, nice rooms.good breakfast.dinner can b improved.thks Karan for al ur hospitality.d place has vibrant energy.great option to meet new ppl n mk frnds.cheers!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Zostel and would 100% recommend it to everyone! Karan and the others at Salvation Cafe are great hosts and very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with a scenic view. The Cafe's hot chocolate and lemon ginger honey tea is the best! The Zostel's common room vibe is very chill and super fun with a lot of games, books, movies and always new people to interact with. Don't miss out on their bonfire nights, the treks/walks with the Zostel volunteers and of course the best dogs who will accompany you everywhere (say hello to Maya, the Princess Doggo of the Zostel along with her many suitors). Aniruddh, the volunteer, was extremely sweet in helping us with our bags at 6am along with hosting movie nights and taking us on beautiful treks!
This place is a great option for staying as well as having fun, especially if you're a group of friends who are looking to have a chill time!

Perfect for backpackers and solo travellers who are not looking for luxury but a chilled out place to make friends and interact.

Although the location was beautiful, the facility isn't maintained as well. Still a decent place for back Packers. It is quite a walk to reach. Better take Alto available at Dharamkot
