The only advantage is the hotel is located in garden.

Disadvantages

1. They collect parking amount to park car in front of hotel.
2. They collect entry fee to garden even if you say I have booked hotel.
3. No 24hrs hot water during our visit in December. At 6 am hot water started. We had a plan to leave by 6 am.
4. I have booked non ac room No cupboards.
5. No need to keeping alarm, crows will do that job.

These are all may not be major disadvantages. But felt during visit

The location is best and a curse in itself. Let me explain. Since this is situated inside Brindhavan Garden property, it took us 2.5hr to cross 5km to reach hotel on a Thursday. We didn’t know this place gets crowded like this crazy. Started at 5: 30pm from Mysore Zoo and reached hotel around 10pm. So keep this in mind if you book this hotel on school vacation or holidays.

Rooms were as clean as it could get. Property is old so it has its wear and tear, especially the bathroom.

Food served was very good. I recommend Andhra chicken curry, chicken fried rice and Kebab.

Breakfast is Karnataka style and very good.

Service is very good.

The location of the hotel is simply awesome. The rooms are so spacious. Each one has a large balcony which opens to the brindaban garden. The hospitality is also very good. They have a very good restaurant at the ground floor which serves a very tasty food.
The online booking facilty by KSTDC makes it easier to reserve the rooms.
Worth mentioning that it is better you visit this place on your own vehicle. As it is outside the main mysore city. The hotel staffs are having contacts of the cabs though.

KSTDC Hotel Mayura Kauvery KRS is good property just upright Brindavan Gardens. Nice ambience, co-operative nature of the staffs really appreciable. But In restaurant food options are very limited and takes too much time for serving. Wifi is not consistent and strong in the premises.

My stay at Mayura Cauvery was enjoyable, thanks to the serene location and friendly staff. The comfortable accommodations and the proximity to Brindavan Gardens added to the appeal of the hotel. While there were some areas for improvement, the overall experience was positive.

It was a good experience. Rooms are good and clean. The only problem was the mattress. It was not up to the mark. Staying at this hotel gave us free entry to the garden and the parking fee (Rs 100 /-) was only collected once even though we crossed the checkpoint several times.just show the room key at the checkpoint and they won't charge you. The restaurant was good and affordable. They offered very good service.

Stay was fine. Rooms are normal size and bed size is fit for 2 people, if u want to sleep comfortably. Service was quiet ok type. Location is good, the hotel is in brindavan gardens, so you do not need to buy tickets to enter garden. Morning breakfast menu is limited.

Poorly maintained hotel. Operated by government of Karnataka.
Typical government lethargy, indifference, incompetence.
Not even hot water in room. Didn’t fixed it even after complaining.
Even after having good location in front of Brindavan Graden (another poor maintained place by Karnataka government), these people have messed up this property.

Value for money, very clean, polite staff, decent food. Most importantly direct access to Brindavan gardens making the garden experience hustle free

The Resturant below is decent ; don’t expect very great food.it’s average for Veg.

The overall experience was great, However, due to a leopard scare, the whole place except the hotel was closed.
It was not anyone's fault, but the holiday kind of was spoilt due to this, and we could not explore and experience the Dam, garden, children park, boating, and the musical fountain. Next time it is best to enquire before you book in the Myosre region, as this has happened once earlier.

Rooms can be better so is the food but the property is at a very good location with great views.

Location is the only great thing about this place which is inside brindavan garden. Though we weren't allowed outside hotel due to a leopard moving around. Rooms look clean and are simple. Breakfast is good, however dinner is average.

Nice place to stay with family to spend some time at the Brindavan Gardens, especially in the early mornings before the general public are permitted to the gardens. Extremely courteous and helpful staff. Room facilities are a bit outdated but clean. There's no lift facility, so if you are going with elders, better insist on ground floor rooms. Food taste and quality is average to below average, though service staff are extremely courteous. Overall, can be a one time visit to experience the gardens liesurely with family.

This hotel is right inside the gardens.and has access to the garden after closing hours too. But we unfortunately visited during a restricted time due to uncontrollable roaming of the cheetah.but a pleasant stay.

This place is situated in back of beyond, they don't provide you with any transport help, we got our room also late. If you've got any discomfort, there is nothing they can do to help is what they say. They charge like crazy and the facilities provided for that amount is under satisfactory. A true example of don't judge a book by it's cover, appearances can be deceptive. This was my personal experience. Also, there is no lift in the hotel. We had a tough time booking our room, 1st they send you the confirmation email, then 3 days later they say the credit card credentials are not enough and booking will get cancelled if not updated within 6 hours. Even after updating it 4 times we get the same email saying not enough data. When we called them to check, they kept giving a series of other numbers to reach, 100 other people too speak to, to just confirm if our booking is still valid. The payment method is not at all user friendly. Overall, a pathetic experience with Hotel Mayura Kauvery which is supposed to be "an exceptionally good hotel". Highly disappointed.

Food quality for the price in which they serve is really good,
It's affordable and the ambience is also good, they've maintained good hygeine and the major factor here is the staff, they're very friendly and professional,
Would highly recommend this place to have some very good veg and non veg delicacies along with some chilled beer which is served in a seperate section! Families are most welcome here.

Location is inside Brindavan Gardens. The staff are very helpful and courteous. Room is spaceous and clean. Service is very good. Food in the restaurant is average. This hotel is for people who want to relax for a day inside Brindavan gardens and not to venture outside during the stay.
It gives an opportunity to enjoy the morning walk within the gardens before it is opened to the public. One word of caution is to be watchful during the morning walk and watch the pathway as I could see a snake on the steps.

It is value for money hotel. Plenty of parking.direct access to garden. Best part is you can access park when it is close for public means you can take some good photo without someone in your background. However food in this hotel is not that grate.

What a hidden gem. Budget stay, homely food in a luxurious location. This is a govt run property offering stays inside the brindavan garden at a very affordable price. Rooms overlook the beautiful gardens, you have access to the gardens all through the day/night. Rooms are basic but clean, hot running water works, TV may not work (we didn't check). The food was simple but tasty and the restaurant staff were very polite. Don't miss trying the chicken 65. Restaurant serves liquor as well.
Overall a surprisingly wonderful stay, totally worth the price.

P. S: Although staying here means you don't need to buy a ticket for entering brindavan gardens, but you have to pay a toll of 100₹ every time you cross the KRS dam bridge on your way here.

Evenings get a crazy amount of crowd into the garden, so try to enjoy it in the morning if you are staying here.

This property is within KRS. In the morning, we can take a stroll and the whole KRS is like a private garden with no one around. The manager Suresh is very helpful and go out of the way to help you plan a great trip to Mysore. The A/C rooms are probably 25 ft x 12 ft with a Balcony and it is very clean. The restaurant serves delicious breakfast like Idli/Dosa and lunch has lot of delicious options. Fresh fish from Dam is the highlight. If you plan to go around Mysore, this may not be the right option since zoo/palace is probably 45minutes away. But, if you want to relax this is a great place.

Best value for money hotels. Roams offer good view of Brindavan Gardan. Hotel is situated inside Brindavan Gardan, hence you will have access to garden throughout your stay. You can enjoy morning and late night walk at the garden.

Don't trust the picture shown on the booking app/website as it is. It may be misleading.
It's located at very strategic place, that is beside the #Brindavangarden. So you just need to step down and you are in the garden. If you are visiting the place with your growing kid, ensure that you do not plan this place for a short one, as it offers good place for kids to have fun and play around. I know, I am mixing it but if the garden is not there you may not want to come here only for the hotel.
Coming back to hotel, it's just a bit better than OYO rooms as it offers a nice restaurant. Staff is nice and co-operative. Bed was not that comfortable, it was very fluffy.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful garden view rooms. Well maintained rooms, toilets. 2k for non AC, 3k for AC rooms. Totally worth. If you check in at evening you have to pay the garden fee since garden opens in evening for visitors, so try to check in in morning. Light sound show is not at all worth. Don't waste your money. Also have to walk almost a kilometer to see the light show.

Decent stay with a good view of Brindavan gardens. Restrictions apply as the gates will be closed between night 8 and morning 8. So pretty much you will be left with the food choice of either this restaurant or the one in orchid. I prefer the restaurant below. The last kitchen order is at 8: 30.

Ultimate placement of the hotel. You get to enjoy Brindavan gardens night and day like a VIP with no one around you. The place is very clean, food is of excellent quality. The best part is great service despite its a government run property. Early morning jog in middle of Brindavan garden with no crowd made my day

It's located inside Brindavan garden. We went here for a lunch. Well maintained, food was tasty.

Bhuvan amd his team was excellent. Stayed there with family. Well coordinated, had called twice before arrival. Room was spacious, neat and well maintained.
The biggest plus is the location. Hotel is inside brindavan garden, so guests can freely move around garden before it is open to public. Complementary breakfast also was good. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Very good location at a affordable price. Be part is the food which is very good and cost is minimal. They sell mineral water too at MRP. I would really recommend this place.
Only issue was the bathrooms could be little more maintained. Broken toilet seats should be replaced and foul smell from bathroom drainage should be checked.

Run by KSTDC, Karnataka tourism dept, this hotel is located inside Brindavan Garden, KRS dam. The USP of the hotel is it's location. Being inside the garden, the ambience is full of greenery. Once the outside visitors disperse for the day in the evening and the noise dies down, taking a stroll in the garden is one of the most serene experience I ever had. For security purpose, walking in the garden is not allowed between 10 pm and 7 am.

This hotel will also break the popular belief that, govt run hotels are shoddy and does not have good service. This hotel can easily give the costly private hotels a run for their money. Manager, Mr. Bhuvan is always smiling and ready to help in whichever way he can. All the staffs are very cordial and helpful. The AC rooms are really big, and I mean really big. The entire room is maintained and tiptop. The bathroom is very clean and also have an attached powder room. Most attractive part of the room is the balcony. All AC rooms have garden facing balcony. Food is available in the attached restaurant and decent. Breakfast is complimentary.

All in all it is an amazing experience.

Stay at Mayura Kaveri KRS @ Brindavan Gardens is located right next to the gardens and the best part is you will have access to the gardens almost 24/7.

I have booked this place for the overnight stay while going to Coorg as we started around 3pm from Bangalore, surprisingly it turned out to be very good decision. The rooms and restaurant are clean and tidy, got to know that they are renovated in last 1-2 years.

I have received the call from Mr. Bhuvan, manager of this property within few minutes after my booking and he informed about the timings of the garden lighting and musical fountain show and also asked about our food preferences for dinner.which is really unexpected.

The service is very good and food options at restaurant are limited considering the occupancy is very less due to Covid, but the quality and quantity are good.

I strongly recommend this place for overnight stay and enjoy the beautiful gardens during the night lighting and early morning strolls!

Spacious and comfortable rooms. Food at the restaurant is very tasty and served hot. Staff are courteous and prompt. Overall I recommend this place. The only downside is that hot water is available only in the mornings. They have solar water heating system. If you can live with this, good place to stay.

If you are looking for great locations at budget prices, KSTDC properties are the best place to be in. Like Jungle Lodges properties, the Mayura hotels too are at great locations and offered at great prices. Keep expectations simplistic and surely you will come out happy.

The Mayura Cauvery at KRS was a great break. Parking is ample, rooms are clean and spacious, food is economical and please note breakfast is not complimentary.

There are no elevators and not sure if I missed them at this property. If taking aged people, please confirm about availability of elevators.

Staff are friendly and courteous. A great value for money property.

Surely will start planning to visit more KSTDC Mayura properties in the days to come.
