Chelore is a Historical place. Chelore bavi is old historical places its was built a Sule of Chelore. Famous place and near situated lord Maralu basaveshwara temple

ಚೇಳೂರು ಬಾವಿ ಇದು ತುಂಬಾ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಜರು ಬಾವಿ ತೋಡಲು (ತೆಗೆಯಲು) ಹೋದಾಗ ತಾಯಿ ಒಬ್ಬಳು ಮಗು ಊಟ ಮಾಡ್ತಿದೆ ಯಾರು ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಮಣ್ಣು ಬೀಳಿಸ್ತ ಇರೋದು ಅನ್ನೋ ಅಶರೀರ ವಾಣಿ ಕೇಳಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು, ಈ ಬಾವಿ ತಗೆದ ಮಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದ ಮಹಾಪುರುಷರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಬಸವಣ್ಣ (ನಂದಿ) ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಯಾವಾಗ ಚೇಳೂರು ಬಾವಿ ತುಂಬಿ ಉರುಬಾಗಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಲ್ಲುಕೊಳಿ ಕೋಗಿ ಮರಳಿನ ಬಸವ ಉಡ್ರಿಕೆ (ಕೋಗು) ಹಾಕುತ್ತೋ ಅಂದು ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಅಂತ್ಯ ಆಗುತ್ತೆ ಅನ್ನೋ ದಂತ ಕಥೆ. ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಬಸವ ಜಯಂತಿ ದಿನದಂದು ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಜಾತ್ರಾ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಜರುಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬೃಹತ್ ದನಗಳ ಜಾತ್ರೆ ೭ ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.

Chelur, located in India, around 110 kms from Bangalore city and 30 kms rom Tumkur. Chelur is famous for many historical places and the event happened earlier.there are 101 hindu temples. Chelur town has been recognized to be a Taluk place.hope it will become one of the Taluks in Tumkur district.

ಈ ಬಾವಿ ತೊಡಬೇಕಡ್ರೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಬಾವಿ ತಗಿಯೋದು ನಿಲ್ಸ್ರಪ್ಪ. ಮಗುವಿನ ತಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಮಣ್ಣು ಬೀಳುತ್ತೆ ಅಂತ ಹೇಳಿದ್ರಂತೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಸಿರಂತೆ.
ಅ ತಾಯಿ ಭೂಮಿ ತಾಯಿ ಅಂತ ನನ್ನ ಭಾವನೆ.
