The parking lot is cramped one in and one out, the Auditorium sound system was pathetic with jarring sounds from speakers once in a while. The dining area for is very narrow and difficult to handle crowds of 400 to 500 people at a time.
It's an old established hall for plays and dramas.but their air conditioning is not functioning, I guess. We had gone for a play there recently, and they had switched off the fans so that the actors could be heard, but it got very hot and suffocating.
Decently maintained for a place inaugurated in 1968, parking is a problem. Once parked have to wait for all people who parked after you to exit. Sound system and overall ambience is pretty good.
This is an absolutely recommended place for the lovers of performing arts. Regular dance and music shows make it a perfect place to savour some art on a weekend.
An auditorium for dance arangetram e.t. C with a small gathering. Hall is well maintained. Very supportive staff. Parking is a problem. But you can use the parking place of the opposite hall.
Wonderful evening spent admiring the young Indian art performers of the Chinna kalanadam 2019. From the graceful dance forms of kathak, Bharatnatyam and odissi to see inspiring martial art form of Kalaripayattu. The stage and ambience adds magic to the brilliant performances.
Stage is good. Seats are good. Music system is decent. Not much water supply they provide as from there side. Not a bad option if you are going to see something or someone you admire!
It's a good place for any cultural performances. The overall management of the place prompt with every service available, for any extra service you would have to pay in extra
Hosted a school event, one of the parents dropped their gold chain in the auditorium, realised it the next day, when they went back the cleaning staff had found it and handed over in the office. After verification it was returned to them
Situated at a very good location wich is opposite the famous Ravindra Kalakshetra, on JC road, also it's proximity to Town Hall also is a good thing. The theatre has a balcony as well which helps fit in more audience. It's acoustically good and it's a great place where many many Indian classical dance recitals and music concerts are held.
A very old auditorium with basic facilities. There are not enough fans or ACs and ventilation is also bare minimum so you will feel suffocated if you sit in middle seats. There is no car parking facilities. But they provide coupons to let your car be parked in Ravindra Kalakshetra, which is just opposite to this auditorium.
