It's not Adhavana anymore but Vistara HomeStay.

Please visit at your own risk. We were a family of 23 Adults, Senior Citizens and two Infants:
1. During the booking, we were explained of a Lavish Food Menu but the Lunch offered was only Rasam and Rice for Vegetarians with no salt or spice and for non-Vegetarians, Rice with bad, tasteless LIMITED Chicken Curry. We had travelled 5 hours starving for food, we had to fight for Lunch. Welcome Drinks was given after food. It's a Lime water. Very Disappointed at first sight.
2. There is some person called Gagan. Very Rude, Inexperienced and he literally fought with us. We were treated not as Guests and he said on our face to eat what's available without making noise.
3. A boy was assigned to us who wouldn't know anything and run off. There was no power, no hot water, 23 of us did a cold water bath amidst heavy rain, nobody were around to help us.
4. Food was hopeless, Service is unimaginable. Our Stay was half a KM from Dining Room, they ask you to visit Dining Room for coffee, Tea and Food.you really can't go there bcz it's quite far and no proper connectivity. They strictly don't allow their Lavish Menu to go out of Dining Room ;)
5. We checked out at 11AM but could leave the resort only at 2PM as there was no vehicle to drop us back outside the resort. Every time you ask them, you get to hear 'another 5 mins sir', you can't come out yourself.
6. They were literally fighting between themselves, you call them for help, they would come after an hour or two or won't turn up.
7. The booking was done through Vinay, the co-owner who never cared to visit the Homestay at least once though we complained of Gagan's behavior.
8. They are careless, unethical in nature, i am not writing this review for any personal benefit but to ensure nobody should suffer like us staying at Vistara.

DO NOT VISIT THEM.

Location is nice and isolation from crowded place. Homely food and people are flexible with timing. I have been there with group of friends and stayed in Dormetry. Its very specious and comfortable for staying when you go with group or extended family. Kids might get bored since not much activities to do. Otherwise peaceful and beautiful place.

Not worth for the stay. Very basic homestay with no proper facilities. Location is good but no proper road. They arrange jeep with nominal fee. If any emergency very difficult to reach main road without jeep. Very uncooperative owners. They want only money and they don't care about guests. First impression is the best impression but for us first impression became worst impression. Dont go by the looks of photos as those are very old. Now every single walls has dampness and you see snails everywhere in the room. They say homestay is located in western ghats but we went to other homestay where everything was perfect. The place and the food was a great experience. But the service was really not upto the mark. Had a really difficult time getting the vehicle to and from the place because of the bad road and the host asked us to pay extra money for arranging the vehicle to reach the place from the main roads. Usually all other places if there are bad roads they arrange vehicles.

One of the worst homestay, safety level is nill. Zero cleanliness and bad hospitality. Heavy dampness on room floors which is very dangerous to walk.

All is very good, only went wrong with parking area, should not mix parking area with cows.that need to change for everyone's vehicle safety.

A delightful private resort with an artificial pond, only veg food, served by pleasant staff. Has about 5 spacious, double bed, cottages with a balcony and 1 large dorm. It has enough recreational games to keep a family fit and active.

It was quite exciting to park the car at the manager's house and be taken there in a jeep due to 4x4 terrain approach Road.

With peacocks cooing in the distance, and comfy temp this was a refreshing place. May get to be wet during mid monsoon. Please call to check before visiting.

Well maintained rooms, etc.
Other than the dangerous approach road, everything else is excellent.
A DG set is very much essential, in case of power cuts, because inverter is not enough for the electric geyser.

Serene place, Excellent hospitality, Surrounded by forest and beautiful valleys, lots of side seeing around. Package is affordable, food is awesome (Only veg). My family enjoyed thoroughly.

One of our friends suggested this place.oh what a place for a get away for a day or two.beautifuly located on the foothills of the western ghats surrounded by thick forest.only noise pollution there is the BIRDS CHIRPINGS.it wad soo amazing to hear around 100s of them chirping at a time.wonderful experience.highly recommend this place for everyone who's looking for a break from their hectic /busy schedules.nd a great place for your eyes as well as your souls as you get to see only greens nd greens nd more greens.nd thanks for the nice hospitality.oh.one more advantage of the place is only 4 hrs drive from blore.what more can we ask for.

Food is super fresh, pure veg though. Cottage is nice. The approach road is bad due to rain.

Although we went in the off-season (during Feb), the area was very dry & the weather was hot, it was a kind of okayish stay, not very great. First of all, I would like to request the moderators to provide this crucial info in the itinerary- The homestay is located ~3-4 km from the main access road which is not reachable via most cars. If you don't have 4x4 vehicle, then you have to park your vehicle at a homestay provided parking which is far, & then they take you to the actual homestay location in a jeep.
Now to the amenities & services:
* Rooms are really good & spacious. Even if there is a lot of power cuts in the area, the good thing is they have provided inverters in the huts.
* Food quality was NOT up to the mark. They only serve south Indian cuisine. The breakfast was good.
* There was no room service facility, as, during our stay, there were only 2-3 caretakers for the entire facility.
* None of the amenities mentioned like zip lining, zorbing, etc were in working condition.

Stayed for 1N2D with 4 adults (Inc 1 Sr Ctzn) and 1 kid on 26-27 Dec, coming from a city, it was exactly the kind of place and break my family wanted, simply ticked all the boxes such as 1) Great experience with nature, 2) clean and tasty home food (veg) 3) clean rooms with clean bathroom 4) some decent area for kids to play. 5) positive vibe
-Experiences-
We arrived at noon and parked the car in a safe place, driver Mallikanna took in a 4x4 jeep to the location and the drive was through malenadu (hilly terrain) which was a fun drive.
Pavithran & Co took great care in serving fresh and tasty homely food.
There is a small indoor play area with games like carrom, TT, archery set, dart, shuttle, chess etc and my son and I enjoyed there.
There are couple of grasslands/viewpoints nearby which are worth seeing by taking a short trek, Also we took a trek into the woods behind family dorm at the top which was very beautiful. Overall it was a great experience with mother nature, her rusticness and tranquility amidst chirping birds and buzzing insects. It had a positive vibe throughout giving us a memorable experience!

Awesome place to visit. Excellent ambience. Cool activities. Last but the best vegetarian authentic home made like food. Best place to visit with kids, friends and family. Perfect for team outing with night stay and activities.

Had a great stay at Aadavana. Homely food, pleasent and calm atmosphere. Beautiful view point near by.

Swings and other kids play items were torn out. It would have been better if replaced.

We had a nice stay at Aadhavana homestay. The staff was courteous and helpful and the meals were really well made with decent amount of variety. The homestay itself is well maintained amidst the hills with the sound of a stream flowing fast nearby. The location is a quite remote and you have to depend on the staff to transport you to and from the parking spot. This can add extra time to your trips if you do not plan it well, especially if you are planning to make day trips after checking in.

Very calm and quiet place. Secluded from the main city but has lot of space and activities inside.

Loved the place. It's a destination on its own. If you visit for a day you have enough places and activities in the homestay. Food was local and authentic. Definitely visiting again. Maybe add a pool or Jacuzzi?

Three things impressed me environment, Hospitality and especially food.

Very unprofessional, they double confirmed the same room for 2 customers and came back saying the room you confirmed is already booked by somebody. They didn't even give me 5 mins to do the payment. How can the management send the payment link to 2 customers at the same time for same room. They being greedy and management need to have some business ethics.

One of the best place in and around Sakleshpur. Highly hygiene n very well maintained. Especially food is superb even though it's a pure veg. Environment is too good.

Good place to stay, surrounded by forest, off roading to reach the resort; excellent ambience; maintained well; but food taste is average.

Pros:
Location is good.

Cons:
The road connecting to the homestay is not good. I don’t advice anyone to drive down till resort, unless you have a 4x4 SUV. Last 3 kms are just not worth risking your car.
Pure Vegetarian home stay.
Food served is not hot.
Clogged sinks. Maintenance is poor.
No tea or coffee is served post lunch till 6: 00 PM. You have to wait for hours for a cup of coffee.
The schedule of all the services is pretty uncomfortable.

Overall it's a property which has potential to be a fab place and service seriously needs to improve.

Super place outing, food was really good & staff members are very cooperative. But only negative is dining hall is very far from the room. It was very difficulty for kids & elders to reach the dining areas.

I visited this place during first week of March 2021 with my friends. It is an excellent place in the mid of lush green garden. Nice place to spend some time with family and friends leisurely. People are very courteous and obliging. Food is excellent. Pure vegetarian with lots of variety and mouth watering dishes. I have stayed in many resorts / hotels / home stays, but food here is No. 1.

Nice property and yummy food prepared by the staff. More activities for bigger groups. Ideal for a relaxed weekend for a couple.

Wonderful experience of lush green nature. Very helpful, well behaved staff. Good hygiene food and tasty too ️. If you are planning for a visit to this place choose this as your stay!

Nice place to relax during weekends from Bangalore, food and hospitality was good. Can be made better for bit of outdoor games. Commuting to the resort with our own vehicle was bit big task. Overall had good experience.

It was nice visit and overall the location of the place was good. Food was okay and it is pure veg cooked in the authentic south indian style. You wont get much of a variety in food just normal rice roti sambhar sabji and rasam. Service was good. Rooms were nice there are a couple of cottages with balconies and interiors were nice. This place is mostly suited for family and senior couples but not that great a place for couple crowd. 1 thing which was very disappointing was that there was nothing actually in the property to do.pond was unclean and unkempt for use when we visited just a week ago while in the photos they show people swimming there. We were looking forward to it. Manager had told us even after covid restrictions zipline was functional but it was not when we reached there. In the name of activity you just get an archery board for namesake and a very funny tiny little golf play type thing.they said indoor games available but nothing was there, atleast not at the time we visited.evening you will get a common bonfire.and most importantly you have to park your vehicles 4-5kms from the actual property in their parking field and from there the manager picks you to the place.overall ok but not what we thought of

We completed dinnar at 10.00pm n noticed snail in the bthroom at 10.15pm.
We tried calling to reach reception to clear the snails, However no one responded.

From Bangalore - 260* Kms approx.
Good location, good food (Only Veg) & staff, good amount of places to visit in less than 50 - 60 Kms (Bisile ghat, Kukke temple.), quiet & calm location.
Note: It is good to park your vehicles 3 Kms away from the homestay since the last 3 Kms is complete Off-roading. I did it & it is a memorable one:)
The parking location will be informed to you by Aadhavana. JEEP service is provided 'To & Fro' to the homestay.
Overall a good place for a week end get away!

The place is beautiful. Very calm and serene. We liked the food, the cottages and especially the dormitory. As we were some 16 people including kids, for us the highlight of this place was the dormitory. We could all jam up together and it was a great time. Thank you!

There are around 6 cottages spread across a huge plantation. The accessibility to that plantation will only be through a jeep or some 4X4 due to mud roads and terrains. The food is vegetarian only and is not bad, although options are limited. The resort offers ziplining but was closed due to rainy season. The room was clean but was missing basic amenities such as bath towels, soap, brush and toothpaste. I felt the price is a little higher considering there was no bon fire, zip-lining and other activities. Staff was very well behaved. Location is very good surrounded by lush greenery and good views.

Visited this place for a weekend get away. We were 3 families with kids.
This place is little deep inside Sakleshpura forests. Difficult to reach with cars. Owners arrange their pick up vehicle from near by road (3km away). They guide you properly to reach the parking place. Safe Parking of your car is taken care by them).
Resort is nice. Owners and Staff are very courteous. They take care of your needs well.
They have around 6 cottages and a dining hall.
They have some open recreational options too. Since it was raining, we could not enjoy much if them.
Rooms are spacious. Cleanliness is taken care. Bed linens need little improvement.
They serve veg food only. All the items were very good and tasty.
As a family, we enjoyed staying for one night stay.

Approach road is quite difficult to maneuver but once thru, it is quite a wonderful stay.

Good place to stay surrounded by greenery and cool air, cottages and dormitory are available, the way to this place is adventurous, food is good, free parking, zip-line, archery, Jeep ride, fire camp and more available at cheaper price.

Iam from Chennai, My stay (25 to 26 Jan 19) at Aadhavanaa Home away from home. It was quiet and green with nill disturbances. Good experience at first hand with a warm welcome by Executive Mr Praveen
and team was excellent in hospitality and available through out my stay.

Food was delicious and hygienic too [Only Veg: - (No non Veg]

My Kids enjoyed all fun activities, especially Zipline, Zorbing and Rope games are superb.

It's a great weekend destination to be. Loved the food and the hospitality. The cottage and dormitory are very clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Activities are also very engaging and good for team building activities and some fun. Placed in a very picturesque location. Would definitely visit again.

*Advice* first: pls dont drive down till resort until you have gotta 4x4 Jeep. Last 3 kms and especially last 700 mtrs is just not worth risking your tyres.

Very well located and reflects the name indeed. In the lap of nature, surrounded by green and greens. Once you are there just soak Yourself in pure oxygen and visual treat.

Good staff but overall I felt is overpriced.

Food is good in taste but monotonous. Service is good but schedule is uncomfortable.

Cottages are spacious but they must improve upon few basic points.

Lots of play and fun activities in and around.

Dont miss out the tracking.

Yes steep and rock&mud roads to enter the resort.better use pick up and drop service if you are worried to drive through these roads.
