Firstly my apologies for the delayed expression of my gratitude.
My father who was suffering from glaucoma and cataract with 1 ir 2 percentage visibility. He agreed to go for the surgery only on two conditions.

1) past success rate (father's friend got it done the previous week and was extremely appreciative of regaining the vision)
2) confidence level on the doctor (Doctor Harish and Dr Ashish made sure my father understood the ease at which this operation will be done and chance of getting the vision back after cataract surgery)

Both turned out to be the key influencer in deciding to go the surgery.

Surgery was successful
Dr. Harish and Dr. Ashish were excellent and God sent as far as father is concerned.

I had a very nice experience here. Was here for a cataract surgery of my mom. The diagnosis was quick and very well explained by doctors Ashish and Ashwini. The staff here are quite good and caring. Very less waiting time and feel of the care you get in a small town hospital. The insurance process is fast. They follow up for appointments and the surgery took not more than 15 mins for each eye. Overall good and a nice experience.

Was told by reception that the hospital OPD is busiest after 4.30 -5 pm, Took appointment for 3.30 pm, waiting time was OK.

Better to ask directions when you are close by the hospital. It is well known locally.

I write this as I am still at the waiting hall.

The consultation fees is taken prepaid, like the patient is gonna run away after seeing the doctor. This is first of my experience where consultation fees was collected in prior.
Further, I was given 2 minutes of maximum wait time and it has been more than an hour I am waiting. There are other patients walking in and walking out. “2 minutes” should mean 2 minutes and not beyond, it’s better if committed time was right.

We were absolutely sure about Dr. Ashish Kumar handing the surgery after the very first consultation. He not only answered all our questions, but also made sure we were given all the information regarding the cataract surgery.

My mom had been complaining about blurred vision for about a week. We visited Akshara Eye Hospital where we were warmly greeted by the hospital staff. We were given a chance to meet Dr. Ashish Kumar and he explained the Cataract procedure clearly. And we were given various choices Monofocal, Multifocal and Trifocal lens for cataract surgery.

We opted for Multifocal lens, and I'm really pleased with Dr. Ashish Kumar and his team, who seamlessly administered the Micro Incision Cataract Surgery using the latest and the most advanced Micro Surgery Systems. The surgery was painless and smooth. Within an hour of the surgery my mom was discharged. Mom was advised to take medication for month and half.

Its been a month since the surgery and both the eyes have fully recovered, and the best part she doesn't even need any optical glasses since her vision has improved drastically. So much so that the smallest fonts on the newspaper is read with ease by mom.

Good hospital for cataract surgery. My Mom recently had the surgery here. Very professional and helpful staff members and Doctors. The insurance related communication with the TPA was take care by staff Shruthi and she communicates all the relevant information on time. Overall a very good experience.

Consulted for an eye infection & was prescribed to have steriod drops though the infection is not severe. I had reservation on taking steriod so got anti biotic drops. Was told to followup in 3 days but asked to pay the consultation fees again. Didnt prefer to consult again as it is equivalent to visit any other hospital. Infection got reduced in 3 days but not complete ly recovered. Decided to go with other hospital for followup.

The best hospital for the Cataract Surgery. From the Doctor to supporting staff all are quite helpful from the beginning of the tests to pre and post surgery.

We have been waiting to see doctor but people came after us were allowed to see doctor. This is injustice. When I ask the people why you let them in, they want to take about surgery, was the reply. I asked, so what, they have taken almost 10 minits and doctor also walked with them and out. Almost taken 15 minits. This is how u do? No reply from them.
There is no order of sending patients first come first. If they want to talk about surgery let them speak to doctor and when he is free not on other's time to steal.

I am 68 years old and recently I underwent cataract surgery for both eyes at Akshara eye hospital in Bengaluru. Dr Ashish Kumar, who operated on me made me feel very comfortable throughout the consultations before surgery, during surgery and at follow-up appointments. I have always believed that we can never thank doctors enough for what they do for us. I can’t thank Dr Ashish enough for giving me back the gift of clear vision. He is clearly very skilled at his work.

And I am one of those who needs all answers and a lot of reassurance! Actually I was terrified of surgery (though it was a minor one) and was reluctant to go ahead. Con:
1. The pharmacy here gives the medicines at MRP and there is no discount whatsoever. Plus the eye drops are quite hard to get in usual medical store.

I had vision problem since 8 years & the power had increased upto -4.5 (both the eyes) and was using spectacles of thick lens for all these years. Once the power was constant, Dr. Ashish suggested PRK method for my LASIK correction & I underwent the same last month. Even though I did face too much pain on the day of the surgery, but from the next day it was alright & I was comfortable. I’m very thankful to Dr. Ashish for the clear vision.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Akshara Eye Hospital and especially Dr. Ashish Kumar for his diagnosis, explanation and guidance in my mother's case. My mother (70 years) has been visiting Dr. Ashish Kumar for her regular check ups and has been very satisfied with the treatment. When she visited the doctor late last November with complaints of blurry vision, the doctor did all possible tests and ruled out any issue with the eye. He then recommended an MRI Brain scan and the report showed that she had meningioma. It was this tumor which was causing a pressure to the optical nerves which led to blurry vision. Of course, she was operated within 10 days of this discovery and is completely fine now, thanks to her neurosurgeon (another great Doctor I have met recently) but it was because of Dr. Ashish Kumar that we were able to find the root cause. I am forever grateful to him for not only helping us get to the root cause but also because of the extremely sensitive way he guided us in the right direction.
