My kids had a great time learning Malayalam during their break. They attended the “Beginner malayalam learning class online”. They are now able to read and write Malayalam which is exciting! Reshma teacher was very patient and great teacher. This is a wonderful initiative by Janaki who is helping our kids to understand their roots better by learning Malayalam.

Akshharam is a great platform for kids to learn Malayalam. I was so impressed how my son was able to to read and write Malayalam within 1.5 yrs. I am so glad to have find this program run by Janaki, who is always available to answer any concerns and questions. I would recommend this program to anyone who would like their kids to read, write and speak Malayalam.

I am non malayali. I am Marathi. I wanted to learn Malayalam language so i joined Akshharam in last Oct 2022. I am writing review after completing Harishree Personalised sessions (1st series). I started learning basics of reading and writing alphabets just like kindergarten kids do. I got good attention from my teacher Sreeja throughtout classes. Now i can identify snd read words in newspaper (I tried with Malayalam Manorama). Teacher take practice, revision in classes + homework. I compared words in malayalam and hindi-marathi with teacher so it helped me to recognise and remember words easily. Regarding pronunciation, yes, i got difficulty at start for few words but mam took practice many times and solved doubts whenever i asked. Thanks to Sreeja mam and Janaki Mam for such a enriching experience. I'm very much satisfied with my decision to join Akshharam. I am looking forward to complete next 3 sessions. I surely recommend you the Akshharam to learn malayalam. Happy Learning!

I would definitely recommend Akshharam to anyone who is looking out for online Malayalam classes with a personalised approach. I am an adult learner and it was a challenge to get back to books and start the learning process from scratch.

The overall approach to teaching is very good. Classes happen as per schedule. Everything is very methodical as per plan. The teachers are dedicated, committed and punctual. Special mention of Mrs Sreeja who has been extremely patient and methodical with her approach. Her teaching style, mode of instruction is very good which is easy to understand and grasp.

I would highly recommend this language learning school for anyone keen on learning Malayalam.

Akshharam has been the best thing that I have signed up for my daughter. She has learned so much Malayalam (written & spoken) in the last 10 months from the teachers at Akshharam. I highly recommend Aksharam to anyone who is looking for Online Malayalam classes. My 9 year daughter started Aksharam less than a year ago and loves learning Malayalam language. She thoroughly enjoys her classes and has learnt so many malyalam alphabet and swaras in a short duration. The classes are very structured and Shreeja teacher is fantastic in her learning methods. We had our daughter enroll with Akshharam online class in 2020 during the Covid times. I don’t have words to express the professionalism that the teacher show in the class and how they conduct the class. Really glad to have found this place. We are from USA and it becomes more difficult to teach kids from here as pronunciation of Malayalam is really hard to come by for kids from USA. However the teacher (Sreeja) is extremely patient and deals so carefully with the kids. Definitely recommend to anybody who wants to teach Malayalam to their kids.

Like any Malayali parent, I wanted my children to pick up Malayalam, but it had been a distant dream since kids were not growing up in Kerala, nor was their mother tongue Malayalam. However ever since they joined Aksharam, that dream has not stayed distant. Kids have slowly but steadily picked up on the language, to read, to write and slowly to speak. The whole school setup is wonderfully organised, smoothly managed, with extremely competent teachers and a very efficient curriculum. My sincere thanks to all the hands behind Aksharam, and wishing you guys the best.

My son's teacher, Reshma madam, is hands down one of the best teachers out there! She is very patient, understanding and supportive. My son looks forward to his class. It's great to see the enthusiasm to join the virtual class and that itself says it all! He is very comfortable with her and we are content with the progress and your efforts are indeed commendable. I have been taking Malayalam lessons for about 2 months now. I am an adult learner, so it is a challenge! I love my classes and look forward to them. Sreeja goes about it methodically and at the same time the content is kept flexible. She asks for feedback and tailors the lessons to match your level of proficiency and interest. This tailor made approach is definitely keeping my motivation and interest high, it also brings in noticeable results. I am EXTREMELY happy I found Akshharam and pleased with the approach they have!

Living outside India made it so difficult for my kids to pick up Malayalam. Not only were they losing out learning their mother tongue but also losing out creating bonding relationships with native speaking family members. Akshharam has been such a great find, I am truly grateful and amazed how far both my kids have come since they first started the class. Both Janaki and Teacher Sreeja have been amazing. The classes are scheduled and run professionally. Aksharam has played a big role in helping our son Nathan learn Malayalam, especially the reading and writing part. Being away from home state and with much less use of the language some how l could not initiate my daughter to this great language which happens to be my mother tongue. We enrolled our son in Malayalam level 1 classes in the beginning of 2020. Initially, we were anxious about how he'll cope with online classes for learning the language from scratch. However it was all put to rest as soon as classes started. The batch size was small so all the children got appropriate individual attention from Sreeja Ma'am who does a great job with the small ones. My son used to wait all week looking forward to his weekend classes. Since then he's completed letters, words, sentences and grammar over the course of level 1,2 and 3 classes. Highly recommended for all the malayalis away from home and looking for a way to introduce the language to the children. Kudos to Janaki Ma'am and Akshharam for this endeavour to help connect our children to our roots.

My girls took online classes with Akshharam for several years. Janaki is an amazingly dedicated teacher and really cares about the kids. She tailored the classes for them and did an excellent job of keeping them engaged which is hard to do as they were 7 when they started. Highly recommend!

My daughter started learning Malayalam with Akshharam in 2015. It has been a great journey so far. Kids are taught at a pace that suits them and lessons are similar in structure to the way English is taught in the UK. My daughter thoroughly enjoys her lessons. She is able to read and write Malayalam quite well. In-fact she gets a thrill reading billboards and hoardings while in Kerala. She can also understand and participate in conversations. I would recommend Ashharam without a doubt.

Akshharam is a great place for beginners to learn Malayalam. Classes were very interesting as the teachers would structure the lessons in different ways in order for me to understand and learn better. Akshharam is also very flexible with their timings. When I had exams they would postpone or move forward a lesson. Many thanks to everyone at Akshharam!

My daughter enjoys Akshharam classes, can read, write and speak well in Malayalam. Janaki madam is a brilliant teacher as she knows how to build up kids interest to Malayalam.

My daughter had attended the Harishree course at Akshharam during the summer holidays. Though initially reluctant to attend Malayalam classes, when she could be doing other fun activities, I noticed that once she started attending the classes, she enjoyed them thoroughly. She learnt the Malayalam alphabets and matras during the course and used to look forward to attending the classes each day. All the credit for this goes to Akshharam’s methodology of teaching which makes classes interesting and their ability to vibe extremely well with the kids.
I would especially recommend Akshharam to those Malayalees living outside Kerala, who would like their children to develop an interest to read and write in their mother tongue.

If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart” Its a fact that the mother tongue helps any child in their mental and emotional growth, also adds an essence in building family relations, especially to elders. Its part of ones culture and always portraits the beauty of their home land.

I felt nostalgic and happy when my 6 year old son came and showed me first time the Malayalam letters he wrote on a slate. It seems Aksharam’s syllabus is so well designed for kids to learn really fast and interesting. Thanks to Team Aksharam, especially Janaki for her hard work in this wonderful initiative.

My 4.5 year old son lives the classes and the stories in Akshharam classes. Loves the method and way the classes are being conducted. The books and materials that the class render high quality.
