They didn't diagnose correctly. They overlooked my condition. Said they'll call me for further assessment but they never did, (despite me calling them and visiting twice). I got diagnosed and treated elsewhere. Doctors and psychologists here were in my opinion below average ; rude and negligent in their behaviour. Pretty pathetic.
Very bad and disgusting place. When the testing takes much time then the government suppose to increase the department. Disgusting government should understand they have increase the petrol prices and all bt he GST and other taxes as been increase but government is not ready to make convenient to the public.
Even the employees also have bloody attitude. Indian government is called the corrupted government.
They are ready to put board noncorrupted government. But it is there.
It's very good educational institute.with good hospital fecility.and it's the only hospital in south India.which has speech and hearing theropy by central government.the campus is very clean and big with beautiful garden inside.
AIISH is doing great job for Hearing impaired. But at campus in Mysore security and Office boys are Arrogantly interact with Public. Being Mysorian I am ashamed of this kind of people particularly Youngsters behaved like a Roudies.
Well maintained and serving thousands of people every day who are coming from various parts of the state. But testing time is very lengthy. Staff in the lab are very kind and supportive. As a Mysorean I am very proud to say that the institute is in our city. Thank you.
One of its kind. A premier institute for deaf & dumb evaluation. All kinds of hearing & speech tests are done here. Major problem is they don't have facilities for ear operations.
The best institute! Everything is organised and upgraded tools and technologies to examine. Experienced and expert doctors in each department. Highly recommend this to any ENT problem.
They had wasted my kid's one full year by diagnosing wrongly. My daughter has speech delay and hyper active (not ADHD). They said she needs speech therapy only. And she was given that. Many times I have said about her sensory seeking behaviour like spinning, doing somersault and standing upside down. But they told me not to make her do that. (here only students will give therapies not trained persons, on top of that, they will confuse what they studied with the symptoms you say. For example, sensory seeking behaviour is common with autism, hyperactivity and ADHD. If you say that your kid is having any sensory seeking behaviour, they will say that you kid is prone to autism). Even though my daughter doesn't have autism, they always tried to stop that behaviour but didn't given any solution. Her eating habits also changed day by day. At one point of time, she stopped taking food. She only took dosa all three times. I took her to my home town and here there is only one clinic who specialises in speech therapy, occupational therapy and sensory integration. On seeing her for 1 minute, they found her sensory needs and started given her therapies and she is doing better now. Within few days I am seeing many changes. Better don't go there. They will just use your child as a book. You won't see any developments.
Being a government institute, it has its own pros and cons. Good thing is that you can make an appointment online, which is advantageous especially if you are coming from outside of Mysore. Else there is walk in option, but need to come around 8: 30am or so, which is when they start issuing tokens. Registration for first timers is required, at nominal rate of Rs 40. Quite slow process, despite 9am appointment they start only around 9: 15 or later and by the time you complete registration it's 10am. So do take early appointment else chance is you may have to wait. Lunch is 1-2, so plan accordingly. The staffs were quite helpful and premise is maintained neatly but public toilets need to maintained better. There is a therapy park, which is good for kids.
Best place for speech and hearing issues, currently I have taking my son for the speech therapy. Will see how things go and than can give a proper review, but as for till now good doctors, very friendly staffs. Good service
One of the best institute in the nation for pursuing a degree in Speech & Hearing. A well-equipped institute with beautiful campus, good academic record & excellent research facilities.
The best place to get the right diagnosis and treatments for speech and hearing, autism and all sort of developmental issues for children. They have the well trained staffs and students. They are very friendly and reliable. You get the best treatment at affordable cost. The place is well maintained and pleasant.
No proper diagnosis, nor therapy from psychology department. Bsc and MSc students are providing speech therapy, speech evaluation. All staff are enjoying taxpayers money without working. Zero accountability, rude towards general public who are providing livelihood by paying tax.

It may usefull their students, those who are joined for learning audiology, No pediatrician, neurologist, and phsycologist s are there, ENT deportment is excellent, staff also k.
I appreciate the service being done here. I work here and I saw a whole new problem we are facing in the area of speech and hearing and also how this institute is trying to treat the issue
Except for students from BSc and MSc all others are workshy, highly challenged, lazy, drain on taxpayers money. Government should privatize the organisation.
Long waiting time. Social distancing is difficult to maintain since patient attenders will push others. Appointment times are not fixed. They have to really fix issues of appointments in an automated way and adhere to protocol.
Best institute in India for ailments related to speech and hearing, ENT. Cost is subsidized and very affordable. Facility is well organized asn waiting time is very minimal for the various tests. Convenient access to the city.
One of the best & the top institute in the nation for pursuing a degree in Speech & Hearing. A well-equipped institute with beautiful campus, good academic record & excellent research facilities.
AIISH is a best center for autistic treatment.best place for right therapy center. Therapists are students & they are monitored by their supervisors & seniors. They are all very friendly & well educated. Parents will get right guidance from there. Lot of accommodations & lodges available near to this centre.local people are so helpful.no need to worry to stay there alone & we will get proper guidance. I think it's best place in India for autistic children.they are providing speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavioral therapy, music therapy etc.there is a school also available inside this campus for our special child.
AIISH is an autonomous Institution under the Ministry of Health and Family welfare. The Institute was established in 1966 with a focus on training professionals for speech and hearing sciences. AIISH is affiliated with the university of Mysore and offers Under graduate, post graduate programs and Doctoral degrees in Speech and hearing.
Its like an A class best institute. No doubts about it, best facility, facaulty, infrastructure, a proper care for patients, and proper seating for ppl who are waiting here, cheap and best! One of the best place!
This institute is only good for academics and diagnosis of health issues, a big NO for therapies like OT and SPEECH for Kids who are Autistic or Hyperactives. It's not well equipped, don't expect Therapies like you get in Metro cities, which are very helpful for kids.
