Excellent destination. Ideal for a family/friends getaway. Manager Kumar and Chef Madhu are exemplary in attitude and aptitude. They ensure you have a memorable time, almost like back in the day a 100 years ago when Gundurai (Me. Macqueen) built and managed these estates for the East India Company.
An ideal place for a vacation with family. The bunglow is located with beautiful views of mountains around with lot of greenery. The hospitality is above par. Good quality is excellent. The only negative point is the approach road within the estate for about four kilometres. A difficult terrain especially in the rainy season. A few species of birds can be cited in the mornings and evenings.

The bunglow itself is not very good. It reminds you of govt bunglows of 1960-1970's. The rooms, fixtures and furniture could be way better than current state.
Garden etc is very average. Coffee plantation surrounds you and walk in estate is must
Toilets again need upgradation. It felt as if staying in govt bunglow.
Overall a place which can deliver so much more but falls short on every count save for food and a feeling of living inside a plantation.
It's a good place to go with 2-3 families.
I would not rate it as value for money. For the cost, facilities, ambience and upkeep are not upto mark.
Calm location. Inside coffee plantation. Very hospitable staff. Good food. Good for people who want peaceful stay without city traffic. Located deep inside coffee plantation owned by TATA'S and nothing available in near vicinity. Approach road is not tarred for last 6 to 8 kms
Amazing property, quite Serene and very green. It is a little far from the town center and will need you drive through some tough terrains, food is limited and it is a fixed menu, but made with love.
A lovely bungalow, hidden in the midst of coffee plantations, this is owned by tata coffee.reminiscent of forest lodges, it offers 4 rooms for guests.all rooms and bathrooms are big and have period furniture.the rooms come with breakfast but you would have to pay for lunch and dinner.the food is good, and the tea and coffee excellent.you reach up there by a motorable dirt track, a short distance from chikmagalur. Great to spend a few days of absolute solitude, play badminton or carrom, read from their library and enjoy the weather and hospitality!
Amazing people and place to stay over for a day or two. We stayed there for 2 nights from 30/Dec'18 to 01/Jan'19. They hosted new year party exclusively for guests (our and an additional family). Bonfire was arranged for both nights with barbeque arrangement on 31st night. We were completely smitten over by the 5* food and treatment by their staff.
Very nice place to relax. There are only 4 rooms which makes this place less crowded. Staff is very courteous. Morning plantation walk is must. You will get to learn about coffee, wild figs, why they are useful for coffee estate etc. Place has around 300 years old fig tree. Children's play area is available and badminton court as well. Last patch of around 2kms is rough with no tar road
Wonderful wonderful place to relax! Old world charm. Great service! Fantastic food! The minor quibble is that the last stretch of the drive inside the estate is a bit tricky for self driving. Otherwise 10/10
It's a lovely place deep inside a lush 350 acres Coffee Estate owned by TATA Coffee. The Bungalow itself is 130years old and restored and operated by TATA Coffee. We have a pleasant stay here and was a very cherishing experience. Food served was simple with local delicacy it was good. Like the hospitality of the staff. Facilities are old but gives a colonial feel. One who has taste for such legacy things would enjoy here. I recommend this place for a must visit for people who want to get as close with nature as possible. Just around 200kms from Bangalore and 20kms from Chickmangluru. Try it out.
