Just happened to notice the A-sign board on the sidewalk. Didn't eat anything as I had other plans. Found the place very interesting and the food smell was awesome. This is located in the back of a building, the leading passage is what once used to be called conservancy road, a service road for the houses, converted into a beat area with concrete floor, few eating tables with beach ummbrellas. I must go back and try their food.
Tried chicken biriyani. It is normal gowdru style biriyani. Nothing spl compared to other centres. Place is worse for seating. Someone going with kids pls avoid it. If it raining pls avoid. The plates are kindish of ok clean. Washed but not wiped for total dryness. Kitchen looks okish.
A small but a renowned eatery in basavanagudi, the biryani was full of flavors and the meat was cooked perfectly. Couldn't try the chilli chicken but tried their kheema and Methi chicken. Wonderful experience overall.
Do try if your in basavanagudi one of the best non veg restaurants or eatery.
From best they have become worst.those eating for first time might like the taste but for those who have tasted the best here will just not like the taste any more for sure.they need to improve the taste of biryani a lot.
Such a humble eatery! Visited today, food was too tasty, place is nothing fancy. Just enough for people to sit and enjoy the food. Very rare to find such eatery, i am going to be a regular visitor for sure.
Amba Bhavani is a small mess in Basavangudi, Bengaluru where you get some of the yummiest biryani in the city. They are a pretty small outlet and are open for a few hours from 12 to 4 in the noon on almost all days. It is best to arrive around 12 or so to have the food piping hot. We were lucky enough to go there as soon as they opened and were able to get most of the items instantly. We had the following while we were at Amba Bhavani.
The Mutton Biryani was very well cooked, the meat was very soft and nice, the taste was like a Maratha style biryani, a little spicy as well. They give a good amount of meat as well in proportion to the rice.
The Chicken Biryani is very similar in taste to the Mutton Biryani, they have used the same spices and masala for the rice. The chicken is cooked to perfection and is very aromatic as well.
For starters we had the Andhra Chilli Chicken which has a very spicy gravy with good pieces of chicken meat. It goes really well with the biryani but could make the experience a little too spicy so would recommend this only if you enjoy having spicy dishes.
Amba Bhavani has a wide variety of options to choose from both Mutton and Chicken dishes and it would be great if you could visit them a couple of times to fully enjoy everything that they have to offer. You can ask for a glass of rasam to end your meal at Amba Bhavani. It truly was a beautiful experience and would surely go back any day. You can find them at 50/2/1, Surveyor St, behind Cool Corner Hotel, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560004.
Great place to visit, placed at a small lane serving delicious biryani. Not very spicy, you won't find it heavy either. With mutton biriyani would suggest kheema ball fry for the platter. 180 bucks biryani in bangalore is total worth it.
Early morning biryani, small clean place. Lot of options, you can choose based on ur liking on the combination and charged accordingly. Like the group, good hot on a chilly morning and the pepper spice just right. Mutton pieces were good and soft, cooked well. Idli was soft and a good combination with fry.
This is small but old eatery. Since this place is in basement, you might experience some issues related to digital payments hence best is go with cash. We bought 3 Mutton Biryani, chilly chicken, mutton Kheema Vada, mutton liver, mutton fry and chicken Kabab. They tasted very good and quality was adequate. They all just costed us close to Rs 1.4k. They all are reasonably costed. Parking only for 2 two wheelers. Four wheelers Park on side lanes.
Tried mutton biriyani and chicken biriyani not that great taste.mutton was not cooked properly.mutton fry is a waste felt that mutton was raw like rubber.kheema vada very expensive and spicy and like not as expected.just hype the lady across the counter can treat the customer with a smile.hust a hype.
After long wait happened to visit this place. Must say best place to have good mutton curry and Biryani. Taste is like home made food. Price is also not deep on pockets.
Pros: Humble staff. Kheema vada tastes awesome. Cons: The hotel itself is in the basement. So if you plan on paying through UPI than 90% of the time you can't because there is no mobile signal. (They don't have card payment also. So only option is to pay through cash) Not enough seating arrangements are made. When placed gets little crowded also you won't get place to sit and eat. Not well maintained. It's not that clean.
A long time cravings for food has just begun, after reviews and msg spread proved just great, we reached little late so we missed tasting mutton Biriyani, but got Chicken biriyani which was good, pieces in biriyani was good that made feel very happy, along with that we got to taste mutton kheema Vada and chicken methi with parotta, my only disappointment was Vada which below average to me, but methi chicken was good and again quality was excellent and parotta was actually ready-made one which quite nice and we wanted chilli chicken which was not available but when I requested for its gravy it really made feel that I should definitely visit this place again just to try chilli chicken alone and finally we took rasam and I must one of the best in town, it actually tasted like leg soup for me. Overall I must say it's a definitely place for all nonveg lovers.
Small place with just 3 tables.kitchen I think is a basement of the owner's house.quality food.exceptional taste.the mutton cooked to perfection. So many varieties of mutton.kheema vada, chops, boti, fry and the mutton biryani.all taste different with different kinds of spices adding to the flavour.
Food wasn't great, but not bad. Biryani wasn't very flavourful. I have had better biryani. Keema vade was good. Pepper chicken was also nice. Over 3.5. Prices are very reasonable
Rustic little store with good healthy food. It is a small store on a service road, so don't expect the ambience of a restaurant. Food itself is above average. I keep returning to this place.
Biriyani was ok, not to my taste.very strong flavours of Ginger, green chill, mint & green herbs.tasted more like Vangi Bath with chicken instead of brinjal.
One of the best Biriyani's in Bangalore. Quantity and taste is worth the price. It's small eatery and it's always crowded. Personally I would rate this Biriyani better than others. Quantity is worth the money. Only cash is accepted, no cards accepted. Try to be there around 12: 30 pm to avoid crowd.
Took parcel, biryani, mutton cops, chilly chicken, mutton fry. Everything was tasty. Must try resturant. But need to be bit early on weekends, as its limited menu and quantity. Servings quantity is as per the price.
1 star less as they don't accept credit cards or debit. Only cash or online payment. Inside the restaurant there is no mobile network.
