Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant

I visited this hotel today and the food was pretty average but the issue is the same person is mopping the floor as well as serving rice and making roti

Some items like Karaikudi chicken gravy etc were not available
The butter was very soft, curry suggested was fine service could be faster.

Nice restaurant in the Indira Nagar 100 feet road, good veg & non-veg menu and the quality of food served is very good.

It's a good place for andhra style veg and non veg food. Quick service and decent quantity. It's a little expensive just like any other andhra restaurant.

Food was delicious and ambience was fantastic.

We have ordered Anjappar popular veg and non veg meals and almost all the items were served very cold. Service was not at all good and when we complained about the cold food not even a sorry from the restaurant side. Really disappointed

The Non veg meals are very bad they will give only 2 piece chicken nd rest all veg items, only for Mutton Biriyani we can recommend this restaurant.

Food was not worth the price… Quantity is very less and taste was average. Service was not good. They don’t have hot water and lemons for finger bowl… Very few items only they had not as per Menu card… Never expected this from Anjappar. Worst service ever. Not at all happy with the visit…

Excellent food, authentic food experience delivered but service was bad, delay in serving food after repeatedly asking.

Service is very delayed even if they have less customers and the taste of food is not good and expensive too.

Over all experiences is Okai but ya these guys don’t have a proper or a clean lift or stairs are not proper the seating ambience is not that great food is good service is faint and pricing also is Okai if u have no other choice of restaurants u can hop in here or els just order online becz even the restrooms are not clean and hand wash area no at all approachable

Had ordered the egg biryani combo but there were mutton pieces in the rice
Should have been mentioned in the description that egg biryani is nothing but mutton biryani with an egg

We have ordered Seeraga samba Chicken briyani, curry leaves chicken and chettinadu chicken and pulkhas. All are very tasty and yummy. A good restaurant in Bangalore.

The service is very poor. Waited for 40 mins for a clear soup. The manager and the waiters claimed it was first come first. The group that came in 15 mins after us have already received their food.

The service is next to poor. It doesn't matter how busy you are at your restaurant, if you aren't able handle your service and provide food in a timely manner, you won't have e return customers.

We won't be returning to this location.

P. S. The clear soup arrived an hour and 15 mins later.

Had to leave the place today without ordering anything.

Service quality have gone down drastically.

I visited an anjappar after 4 years

Nd its changed a lot.changed for bad.the old warmth in service are all gone.
Didn't feel like ordering food from them.

Ordered non veg combo virunthu meals and none of the dishes were up to the mark.waste of money.bad quality.

Only this time i found the slow delivery of food to table. Otherwise food was good. Negative part no finger bowl provided.

If you have any value for your health and money just don't go here. The last day I had ordered a chicken 65 biriyani and a Veg Schezwan fried rice through a food delivery app and the taste was just horrible, then when I complained and demanded a reorder, I received a nati chicken biriyani with completely spoilt meat in it, the chicken smelled like fish and was horrible in taste, in fact the meat was so horrendous that even my dog refused to eat it.
All these years I've been to several hotels tasted quite alot of food but this is the worst experience I've ever had with any hotel

Pathetic portion size for the amount charged. Value for money = 0. A brand that is still living of its past glory needs to be more realistic and put in a more genuine effort to make the food taste good. A steadily declining brand best avoided.

Go there for chettinad dishes.not for north Indian or chinese cuisines. Mutton kola, kalakki, mutton varuval, prawns dry, kothu parotta (egg). All tasted great. Kari dosa, karandi omelette, liver fry were missing that day.

Not bad! Quantity and presentation should improve and yelaneer payasam is not available, missed badly. Panneer is better than Chicken, Biriyani is good.

Oh God. Found a cockroach in chicken curry ordered via swiggy from kalyan nagar anjappar. Please maintain cleanliness

This restaurant not deserves 1 star also food is pathetic, waste of money every meal take 45min. For serving so please save your time and money also please don't come here ever.

Good food, but the items in the menu are not available when we ask, place could have been better.

Food is good. But awfully slow service. Had to wait around 45 min for someone to give a menu card or take order. N then it took another 30 min to give the dishes

Ordered a Chettinad meals today and it was upto mark. Then checked multiple times with the staff and made an order for mutton biriyani in basmati rice.
I was served normal rice biriyani (not sure if it was zeeraga samba). I told the waiter it isn't basmati rice, he tried to convince me by saying "it is small basmati rice sir". I didn't agree, then he called another staff, he replaced it with plain biriyani rice and age old mutton pieces immersed, it was heated too much so that I won't be able to figure it. It was so bland and yuck, when I confronted him about it, he agreed it was their mistake to do so. I escalated it to another couple of senior staff at the billing, one of them defended saying, "sir you asked for basmati, so our staff gave it" the audacity he had to put the blame on me! He was ignoring the fact that I checked multiple times before making the order and they were supposed to say it isn't available if it wasn't, rather than cheating the customer TWICE by giving a different biriyani and then replacing it with plain biriyani rice and old mutton pieces in it. He apologized only after I told what he was doing was wrong.
Me who was an actual regular to Anjapar in Bangalore had been literally cheated, I feel so disappointed and regretful, one of my worst dining experiences.

Never go on Sunday between 1pm-2pm because lot of rush need to wait atleast half an hour for a seat

Took 25 mins for the service person to approach us. Long waiting time. People with lots of patience can try this restaurant

Worst hospitality. Restaurant staffs act like super busy and are inactive and donot pay attention even after calling them many times. Most of them are inside the kitchen only and don't come out to check if customer need anything. Food quality has deteriorated, served us half boiled rice for veg pulav, fish is stale and smells. Quantity of mutton sukka was too less for the items they charged. Not worthy of going again with family.

The menu mentioned by them and ehat we received are entirely different and if we asked, their response is rude.
Verify the rate and product before each order, else you have to pay whatever they say.
And they give some colour mix in the name of Jigarthanda. Don't go for it.

Expensive, but the food is incredible. If you'd like to taste authentic chettinadu style, this is one of the best places.

Food was really. Slight issue with billing but as it is a negligible one hence didn't rate down.

Average experience in terms of food and service. Soup was luke warm but birayni was good. Ambience not upto the mark. The glass walls weren't clean n wallpapers were worn out. Didn't like the vibe and extremely slow service. Food was nice but presentation not good.

The restaurant is super for TANDOORI. But be careful if you are having biriyani here. It is just like donne biriyani even dum tastes like the same. We had a bill around 7k here but we tasted nearly every non veg item. Dessert are not that great but you will hate tasty mouth freshner packet at the end. Do consider your budget before going. As the quantity won't be that higher as you expect.

Tandoori is high class and rest all dishes are not upto expectations. And also it seems little more economic.

Food is good but the service is very bad. With the exception of the head, the others seem untrained - not even basics.

Yummilicious! A tasteful spread of non veg starters and main courses.if you are very hungry.be patient.you might have to wait but staff are very supportive and quick.

The mutton biryani tasted ok but pieces were mostly bones with little flesh. The flesh was also devoid of any juice as may be broth from it was taken. The meat balls had less minced minced mutton tasted more like vegetarian balls. The thala curry was good. The service was very prompt and good full marks for that and a friendly service.

Went at 9pm. Surprisingly as per the waiter half of the food in the menu is empty or not available. Just spoiled my dinner date!

Was here for lunch. I dint know they serve rabbit fry.tried it for the first time and it was delicious.jeera rice biryani was amazing.

The booking went perfect over the call.

Place is open till 11.30, not all the dishes would be available though. Parking space available. And ensure you park your vehicles over there. Don't be lazy enough and park it on the road, as it would be towed away.

The stairs to the restaurant are scary and dangerous, need to be cautious. As it is the metal staircase and its worn off / less grip.

Should be early to get a better chance to taste most of the starters / soups.

The chicken soup was spicy and good, although the corn soup is suitable for kids - veggies were under cooked.

Coming to non veg starters. Mutton cheema, mutton sukkah (boneless) were well made. The chettinad style chicken varuval with bone was excellent. The nati koli dishes are spicy and are of different recipe all together. And i loved it.

Ceylon parota would be liked only to those who like to chew their food for a long long time. One plate of this would be enough for two, and I wouldn't personally suggest this parota. The nati koli chicken along with this made a good combo.

Less artificial masala, more of natural ingredients. Spiced up with pepper. Dishes stand apart.

It would be better if the restaurant could offer more than one person to take the order and serve the food hot.

Mutton biryani at its average and was not even warm.
Could improve in these things.

Would visit again as the chicken recipe is different and tastes really good.
