Small trek but entry fee is too much and guide doesn't even guide you properly.
Caves are Little adventurous!
Govt should reduce the entry fee

It’s indeed on of the off-beat trekking/cave exploration spots near Namma Bengaluru!
You’ll be having a short hike initially which is known on an easy level and they you will be exploring 2 caves which are on a moderate level of difficulty. People who are claustrophobic please don’t try this trek. Guide and tickets are mandatory. Tickets can be purchased online and offline.

Honestly the worst trekking experience ever.the caves are in the restricted area and you must pay extra if u want to go to the falls n all.n the wild monkeys here are too aggressive and harming.
18 सितंबर 2023 1:43
Ok trek, not very exciting, the caves aren't actually caves but some entry and exit routes
17 सितंबर 2023 15:09
Nice place for a day outing from Bangalore.
One has to climb steps to reach the top. Easy Trek. At the top point there is a Temple.you can pray and relax for some time.
The roads are in good condition.you will find many petty shops.

Trekking wise it is moderate trek, not very easy, not difficult also. But the fun part is Caves. There are 2 caves which you have to navigate with the help of guide. Caves are not for everyone, only those who are fit can go through it. Other than that downside is you have to pay 490rs per person in order to do the trek.
13 सितंबर 2023 21:51
Trek is easy and you do not have to climb a lot. Only issue is you need to be fit to get inside caves. There are two caves but you would need a guide to take you through it as you may get lost in between.

You need to register yourself for this trek on Karnataka tourism website before going for it. It charges approximately ₹500.

There is ample parking below the temple where they charge ₹50.
Overall a clean place.

I didn’t go for trek instead just had Dakshina Kashi temple darshan by climbing stairs which took around 15 mins to climb. There is water stream coming from Nandi’s mouth and have created a pond above. It is said the source of water stream is yet unknown. There is a view point as well. Lot of monkeys are there, don’t carry any edible items while climbing to avoid any serious encounter with monkeys.

The trek is very good and the caves are amazing. You need to register for this online. I don't know the website as my friend did the booking for all of us. Trek details will come after the booking. Trek fees include the guide. However they will ask for money once you are done with the last cave. There are 2 caves, the first one is easy to cross but the second one is difficult. People with heavy bodies should definitely avoid the second cave. The guild will also inform you about this. Also those who get suffocated easily should also avoid the second cave as it's very narrow with no sunlight in most of it. You will have to rely on the torch light of the person before and after you as while crawling u won't be able to use ur own torch. Trek starts at 6am but u should reach a little earlier than this as u get a very nice view if u reach the top just around sun rise time.

The trek started on time. The supervisor was present there to guide us and coordinate the start and end of the trek.the guide accompanied us.but the people who are towards the end of trail were mostly being left alone on their own.there was no way for the guide to to guide us how to overcome the obstacle or where to put our step so that it becomes easy. So you need to use your own instincts and wisdom to do so.its very much necessary to carry a powerful torch light inside the cave and also with an arrangement to tie it on ur head or around waist.u need to keep both your hands free.you must not carry anything further with you in the trek.as few spaces are so cramped that its impossible to carry a backpack.even thought he trek started at 6am, we were completely covered with sweat within 1 hr.so carrying the sweat shirt around your neck was also a challenge.but the trek experience was awesome. I had my 8 year old kid with me.it was tough but thrilling.you actually need good stamina and good level of fitness to cover both the caves.also a good pair of shoes is essential.chappals are giving up mid way.in the midway there is a coconut seller and a cucumber sailor who also sells water bottles.nothing else is available there and nothing you can carry because it will cause difficulty in trekking.overall it was an awesome experience but a little request to the guides to assist a bit more to all the members of the group they are taking responsibility.deducting one star because of that.at many places we felt a bit left alone on our own, where guides intervention on how to cross the path was required.
10 अगस्त 2023 20:11
The place is ok. Monkey menace. Small stalls available for tea, coffee and snacks. Entry fee is steep and has to be paid online. It's an ok place to visit but nothing more
06 जुलाई 2023 12:00
Nice place to take a break from the city and go for a moderate hike. There are two caves and plenty of rocks to explore. View from the top is amazing. It's part of the Karnataka eco trails. So book you slot either before hand and once u reach there. Guides are present to take you through the trails.
09 दिसंबर 2022 16:57
Good trekking. One has to book ticket online for trekking. Else you will not be allowed to trek.
21 नवंबर 2022 17:26
Most beautiful and calm place. Trek till temple is quite easy with nearly 100 steps. After the temple still there is trek which is moderate to difficult to reach cave and falls.
There are many monkeys of course but if we don't harm them they don't bother. Don't carry any food.
18 नवंबर 2022 7:56
Super good. Found the forest officer ensuring proper entry with tickets. Good to see some honest people. Treak was nice. Good for beginners.
06 नवंबर 2022 19:51
Buetiful place but neglected by government and Hindus samaj. Infront of gate evils made majar and masjid. Shame on Hindus.
27 अक्टूबर 2022 22:04
It's a great experience. Worth visiting the trek place and You need Guide if you are going for first time. Great caves and awesome adventure. Nice temple. Om namah shivaya.
Monkeys small waterfalls, super sweet mountain water etc, Kids will enjoy the place but they can't come in caves. If you are going without kids then you can try to go in all caves. We went to 3 caves but there are 4 I heard. Unforgettable moments. Car parking is available. Pay money to guide only after returning from the trek. Take any eatables you want in your bag there are no shops once you start the trek.
23 सितंबर 2022 15:45
Nice place. Every Hindu should visit. Another example of Islam domination in hill top.muneshwara and hanuman temple converted to dargas.
15 सितंबर 2022 6:29
Nice place with Siva temple.small Water falls near by. Be careful of monkeys here. Don't take any bag or food with you when going to temple by step. They will try to take the food from you.
12 सितंबर 2022 0:58
If you are planning to visit this place for trekking.book ur ticket.or u can do it after reaching there also.they will tell you the guide name.trek pathway is Rocky.make sure you have enough water and sports shoes, cap. Some pathway there you have to slide down from the rock and somewhere you need to crawl down through the water stream. Don't go in rainy season.cloudy work best. Or early morning. I went with my 6 yr old kid and another 12 yr they both had fun.it was a total explorations feeling for them.
11 दिसंबर 2021 23:56
Expect monkeys. But they left us alone completely, mostly because we had no visible food items.
There is a tea stall to buy basic snacks and water at the start point.
Exclusive paid car park is also available.

The actual trek starts within the temple. To reach the temple, one climbs about 300 steps. The views are great and the air is filled with scents of eucalyptus and herbs.

This is the actual trek start point. Many get misled to anthargange caves on gmaps.
19 नवंबर 2021 11:50
Must visit place. Take a guide and do cave trek and water cave trek (might cost 250/head). If u are claustrophobic i advise not to try that. The cave trek will be one unforgettable moment.
13 नवंबर 2021 10:07
The place was calm, pleasant and a nice temple situated on the woods, however be prepared to pay ₹ 250 Bucks/ person in order to explore the trekking part and Caves!
05 नवंबर 2021 14:57
Went there without expectations. But came back with beautiful memories. Since we went during rainy reason, we were able to trek through running water which made our trek an unforgettable one.
You need guides to experience the cave trek. But if you book tickets online, the guide never shows interest in making you explore the full trek. You need to go there directly and negotiate with the guides instead of pre-booking. Then they become happy and show you all the hidden places there.
There are two caves. One is the normal one where all the guides takes u. The other one is a water cave, which u need to insist the guide to show it to u. Water cave was the most thrilling experience we had in this trek. Better to carry torches inside it. Without a guide, it’s not possible to explore water cave.
There are kids aged around 10 or below. If you pay, they too show you all these.
And while returning down, instead of taking the normal route, one needs to go towards the stream and walk alongside to reach the base.

07 अक्टूबर 2021 16:20
The best place for 1 day outing. Moderate trek and guide could be helpful in caves specially. Carry maximum water and energy bars and early morning will be the best time to visit.
06 अक्टूबर 2021 9:53
Very beautiful spot, history place, the sprouting out of the water through out the year is just amazing and hard to believe with a very old Shiva temple.
Lots of monkeys to greet you. That's what grace is all about.
22 सितंबर 2021 0:33
One of the best weekend getaway near Bangalore. Good place for trekking enthusiast. Spectacular views from above the hill and Eco trail required to register in govt of Karnataka for trekking.cave trail is breath taking it might be difficult for few. Very old temple of Kashi Vishwanatha it is also famous for the water spring that flows beside the nandi many believe that this water has healing power to cure the illness. Overall it is good place for nature lovers, carry some water and snacks packed in bag. Beware of the monkeys. Best time to visit after monsoon.
Approx 60 to 70 km from Bangalore one sided, depends on your location in Bangalore.

Antara Gange (also known as Anthargange) is a mountain situated in the Shathashrunga mountain range in the southeastern portion of the Indian state of Karnataka, Kolar district. Antara Gange literally means "Ganges from deep" in Kannada. It is about two miles from the town of Kolar and seventy kilometers from Bangalore. Antara Gange is famous for Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple, also known as Kashi of South. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the temple is a pond which gets a continuous flow of underground water from the mouth of a Basava (stone bull). [1] It is believed that drinking water from the pond cleanse one from many diseases.

Way to Antar Gange caves is a steep and narrow path behind the temple to top of the mountain. (Now, the entry to the caves is restricted) The caves are 3-4 km from the temple. There are seven villages on this mountain, including Therhalli. The mountain consists of granite rocks and lot of caves around. Trekking in and around caves is popular here. Tourists also do night trekking and camping here, especially in summer months.

14 जून 2021 2:17
Nice place for tracking and caves. But childrens are not preferred, since the caves are really dark.
Please be informed that there is entry fee of 500 per head. Ticket will be available online. It seems newly introduced.

You can walk uptil the temple. To trek up the mountain caves, you need to hire a guide. Plan for 1 to 3 hrs, its a little expensive
10 मई 2021 6:39
Mind blowing experience, you should try the trekking especially along with the guide. The amount is actually negotiable. Tell the person to take into cave as well as stream starting point.
10 मई 2021 6:14
This is not a tough trek compared to other treks as regards the climbs are concerned. What is tough is the exploration of the two caves. People who are not fit or are very fat must not attempt to explore these caves, especially the water caves, as it's very tough or almost impossible to cover it.

For youngsters, it's a must-do, never-to-be-missed highlight of the trek. If you're not going to get into the caves, it's not worth visiting Anthara Gange. The caves are not that extensive, but good enough for a beginner. A bit of risk-taking is involved — jumping down through narrow crevices, crawling. If you've never visited a cave, it's a great place to explore once.

Absolutely no Covid-19 protocol or safety exists. Everyone touches the same rocks and have to move on in the caves. Carry your own water. Drink coconut water available at the top, which are for sale. Always take a guide — don't pay more than 100 per person. If the group is large, don't pay more than 50 per person. If going solo, it's humanitarian enough to pay a basic fee of 200.

Always register through the official site before reaching there. There are touts requesting people to visit through alternate routes to avoid forest officials.

Since there are many villages nearby, you come across many locals residents of the area, unlike in many other treks.

Having 2 small caves, and people have to climb somewhere between the cave.trekking height is almost 400m, but it took 45min to climb for me.
I enjoyed the sunrise and in-out through the cave.

Natural water flow since the ancient times is really amazing and the water is so clean and tasty. There is a true story behind this. We felt this place like heaven. Really people should visit this place to get spiritual atmosphere and for the change of mind towards the positive direction.
The animals like monkeys are so friendly. We felt sad that they are not getting proper food. We request the visitors to provide some food to them however possible. We feel to visit again soon.
11 अप्रैल 2021 1:47
Small trek near kolar. Be aware of monkeys. They even snatch water bottle from your hand. Don't carry any plastic package along with you
02 अप्रैल 2021 1:30
I would rate 5 for the treeking and temple but the local police officials ask bribe to go for treeking upto 200 rupees
23 मार्च 2021 14:15
A good one day trip from Bengaluru. Try reaching there in noon to avoid any rush if you are planning for the trek as well.

4. Once both caves are visited, you should climb the hill
5. You will find field and no clue where to go
6. Find a temple, ask people where to go

We visited the temple from Bangalore. It is good day outing. But there are many monkeys and one needs to be very careful.
23 फरवरी 2021 1:05
An amazing place to get your mind relaxed. Its a very cool place. Its approximately 60kms away from Bangalore. Its a perfect weekend getaway for friends and families. To start with the steps you have to climb several steps to reach the temple on top of the hill. From there the trek begins. The trek is almost 1.5 to 2 kms. A small trek for beginners. Nice place for nature photographers, you can expect Parakeets, monkeys and few other birds. Takes about an hour and half to climb the hill.
The best part is going inside the cave. Its about 400 meters. But the effort which you put in to climb the hill will be vanished by the time you come out of the cave as it makes you feel so cool and relaxed. It'll be cold even when the sun is on top of the head.
Lean people can go inside easily people who are aged or plump ones it won't be easy there are chances to get stuck in between the rocks. Try to avoid.
P. S: Take a guide available at the spot charges 50 per person. As you won't be able to find the way. And Don't carry helmets or bags. You can keep them down at the shops.
