This place is in Srinivaspur. India's mango city, Karnataka!
It's a huge mango yard. It's spread across approximately 10-12acre of area.
Almost all the varieties of mango grown in India, one can find here. Srinivaspura has world famous mangoes grown in its taluk Territory. U can get all kinds of mangoes at wholesale price. No retail business here.we went there to buy mangoes.most of the sellers there are adamant and quote high prices.despite so many mangoes going waste and rotten, they are not ready to sell it for little lesser price. Also, the APMC yard is not well maintained.

Market place to get raw mangoes in huge quantity at lowest price. The ripened mangoes are thrown on the road/roadside, so the cleanliness of surrounding made me unhappy.

This place is still unexplored by the Bangalore crowd who are always look out for a weekend getaway. Great place to buy mangoes in bulk during May June. Hardly under two hours drive from city. You can get your cars boot filled with mangoes by spend only around 2500 and pool it with friends.

Government of Karnataka releases funds to Mandya and Haasan where it's not required. But never thought about the APMC Mango yard of Srinivaspur.
Current MLA is least bothered to improve the APMC yard.

This yard supplies daily around 2000 tons of Mangoes across the country during the season.

The ultimate place to find all varieties of mangoes grown around Srinivasapura provided you can identify which variety is good. Unless you are a seller, be ready to pay more. Minimum 20 kg purchase is what they insist on but you can haggle for 10kg or pool in your friends and share. Place is dirty like all the vegetable markets. Be ready to sweat it out in summer exploring the place divided on either side of the road. We however saw only left side as we were getting late.
In short: The place is chaotic, looks unorganised for a first time visitor, dirty, mesmerizing and overwhelming with the varieties of mangoes, minimum purchase quantity is 20 kg per variety. Knowledge about mangoes is important. Oh did I mention all mangoes will be green and less inviting than in stores because they are not yet ready for the market.

Each state which operates APMC markets geographically divide the state. Markets (mandis) are established at different places within the state. Farmers are required to sell their produce via auction at the mandi in their region. Traders require a license to operate within a mandi. Wholesale and retail traders (e.g. Shopping mall owners) and food processing companies cannot buy produce directly from a farmer.
