We recently had lunch in our place …Really very bad expirience in terms of quality and quantity …We ordeed a plate of paneer pasanda and quantity given was small pC of 3 paneer and they charged 390 for this quantity…Looking at so many 5 star reviews am really shocked, do people really care about the quality and quantity they are getting or it’s just that u want to hang out with family and friends

Enjoyed the Butter Roti, Paratha, and the curry. The food was tasty and not spicy. They also have combos, next time will try.

Starters are pretty good. Frozen curd good too.

Their speciality is the soft paneer.

Service is a bit lax. I could see people waiting and then taking off when unheeded. So that needs improvement.

No complaints on food quality. Post order serve is also pretty quick.

Dal tadka is yummm.everyone should try it.
Service is quite fast.but on weekend please do pre-booking as rush is huge

Amazing place. Paneer here feels like that of from north India. Authentic North Indian food and very nice experience.

Paneer items are very good. Butter milk, curd are excellent. Roti items are not so tasty. Overall worth visiting. Nice ambience.

Authentic Punjabi food. Loved Amritsari Kulcha, Dahi ke Sholay, Paneer Tikka and Soya starter was amazing. End with Sweet Lassi.

Ideal place when u wana break your fast. Very authentic North Indian ambience and food is tasty.

Great vegetarian options. It has boho vibes and the food is delicious. Went in for an early dinner and it did not disappoint at all.

Tried the restaurant for it's raving reviews of chaap, but the experience was pretty disappointing overall. We went in for a late lunch and were met with slow service on arrival.
We ordered Masala Papad @ Rs. 90, the BBQ platter @ Rs. 599 and Masala chaap @ Rs. 249.
The BBQ platter included Tandoori Paneer Tikka, Afghani Chaap, Malai Chaap and Dahi ke Sholay.
The Masala Papad was good.
The Dahi ke Sholay was the best dish on the platter while the Afghani Chaap included was the best of the chaap we ordered. All the dishes were sugarcoated in their sauces and tasted extremely sweet. There was little difference between the spiciest option they offer (masala chaap) and the sweetest (malai chaap). The paneer and the chaap were all not marinated enough, thus leaving a bland flavor in the mouth when you finish. The base ingredients themselves seemed to be of good quality but there was no punch in any of the flavors and this made the experience lackluster.
This was our first visit to the restaurant and not sure if we'd try it again.
If you are on the lookout for good chaap in Bangalore, would recommend Punjabi Chaap Corner in Indiranagar.

Kulchas and naans burnt, channa masala had no masala, daal makhani lacked salt, matka lassi is just plain curd mixed with sugar, terrible bad experience

Being vegetarian restaurant. The food here is delicious but bit pricey and worth it. Its unique dish is soya chop and it's one we need to taste it definitely

Pretty restaurant by the main road in JP Nagar. Food tasted excellent and service was quick. Menu is somewhat limited and prices are very expensive. Though I loved the place I wouldn't be visiting again as spending such high amount for a dinner is not justifiable to me.

This place is good and have good range of paranthas. Would be good if they offer Chatpapari and paani puri on weekend too

Lovely ambience, staff and food is the best. It's famous for their chaaps. Relatively small place but it's a very nice place to spend time with family or friends. Loved it!

Lovely ambience. Nice interior. Food is good Chaap definitely needs improvement. Initially they serve us raw chaap with less of malai coating then on complaining they again cooked it. They need to work on chaap marination. Had Pindi ki thali and dahi ke sholey both were tasty.

When Sunday Brunching needs some Punjabi crunching, Baba Chatkora is no doubt one of the good place you can visit. Food is good, quiet place, lovely crowd and good service along with a standard ambience.

The ambience is wonderful. The service is excellent. Very friendly staff. The food quantity is Very good. Khemraj has very good knowledge of the food that is available. Overall an incredible experience. Chaap and Kulcha here are very tasty.

Hopeless food. Very bad maintenance of kitchen. Also found a fly in Mayka lassi. Restroom is absolutely unhygienic n foul smell.

️A small cozy place giving out the right Punjabi vibes, serving the right Punjabi food; that’s babachatkora for you. But.but.it does not serve Butter Chicken or other non-veg items synonymous with Punjabi food. Breaking the stereotypes it dishes out delicious vegetarian fare from North India.

️The menu consists of various drool-worthy food n in order to try something of everything we ordered their Maharaja Platter, consisting of Stuffed Achari Chaap, Jungli Mirch Panner Tikka, Malai Paneer tikka, Stuffed Mushroom, Dahi ke Kebab.

With perfect marination and cooked to perfection the Chaaps are must-try items here (we ordered Malai Chaap too; afterall how often u get to taste this authentic dish). And I really love dahi ke kebab too. Gulp down the food with their Shikanjavi, made with authentic masala from Modinagar (UP)

️Though they have Rice, Biryanis, Thaalis n other gravy items, my heart was fixed on Amritsari Kulche, so that’s what we had next. Served with Chole, Chtney n butter, the taste of multi-layered crispy Kulcha is quite close to the Amritsari ones.

And if u ever visit this place, which u should, don’t forget to pair your meal with their thick Matka Lassi; its amazing.

️In desserts Brownie sizzler can be given a miss but not the Gajar ka halwa

Overall had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place to Bangalore folks.

The food was delicious, had ordered butter roti and naan with dhaba style paneer gravy. The staff were courteous and they even washed the pots we had matka lassi with and handed it over to us. Good ambience and peaceful for family outing. Over all amazing experience.

After seeing it's Review we were visit but they couldn't stand on our expectation not even 1% matching their food with Punjabi food the lassi is just wisk curd no taste bad experience and also prize are so high as compare to others panjabi restraurent.

Initially we thought it was a chats outlet but they also serve northern Indian food.
Located in Jayanagar, parking is a bit difficult as you have to rely on side roads which are residential areas. People with wheelchairs and physically handicapped may find the steps too difficult to maneuverer.
The ambiance is somewhat different and the chairs/tables are compact.
The friendly staff help with the choices of menu which is uniquely prepared.
The fishes are tasty and with ample servings.
The pricing though a bit high but if you’re a foodie then it’s worth a try.
Overall a great experience.

They check everyone's temperature and recommend masks.
They have limited items. The food is okay. We ordered malai paneer, tomato soup, mix veg soup, kadhai paneer, shahi thali, veg Biryani.
Biryani's taste can be improved.

As expecting and lot of things hear from friends the taste is not good also Amritsari Kulcha and tandoori roti was fully baked was bitter in taste,
Recommend don't go there as taste was not proper

Even though this place has been there since the past two years, the taste is very bland compared to the same food which was made in the Koramangala and the Jayanagar branches which have been shut down now. Other wise the service was quick and the staff were very courteous.

Currently Best Chaap in Bangalore. Amritsari Kulcha is also a must have. Beware of the size of Kulcha

Overprice tasteless food and not good and spacious ambiance. Table to two people is so small that even the plate will not fit into that. They tells you to scan QR code for menu, it will redirect to the web page. Which is full of ads and malware. So be carefull with Baba Chatkora.

After waiting for 45 minutes we got a table for ourselves. One of the persons from our group had been here earlier and was very appreciative of the food. We ordered the food and the food started coming to our table pretty fast.
About t food. What should I say I don't know. The worst I have had n recent times.

I am not sure how old or new this place is but the staff definitely needs to be trained on how to talk to customers. I would like to make a special mention about one of the staff there Akash Sharma, I am not sure if he was a server of their manager, but he definitely needs a good training on behavioral skills. When we complained him about the food not being up to the mark, his temper went on to a next level. He was neither accepting the fact that food was tasting real bad nor was he apologetic about this. When I told him I am definitely going to post a review about my experience, he said do whatever, I wonder how such people land up in hospitality industry.

After coming out I met the owner of the place, Mr. Ashwin, then I realized where the staff is getting their attitude from. When I explained him the entire episode, there didn’t seemed to be a single trace of apology on his face.

I am not food blogger nor an expert in restaurant review, but here is my unbiased review about this pathetic place called Baba Chatkora. Definitely put this place under “never to visit ever again” list.

Love the place for its awesome punjabi food specially it's kulchas, chaapa and roomali item. Regular for my outstation guests who crave for its great food.

I visited this Resturant for dinner had ordered the following
1) labaa lab kulcha - tasteless had ordered on the recommendation of the waiter.it was tasteless kulcha.
The chole which were served along were ok the green chutney was good.
2) matka lassi - tasted good.
3) soda shinkajvi - was plain jaljeera.

The resturant was full when I visited, which seems that they had been serving something good. Probably what I had ordered was a wrong choice made.
The prices are very high as compared to the quantity and taste.

I rly thought they are all abt chats. Bt they do mainly north Indian dishes. Yet, they did have some nice BBQ dishes. We ordered BBQ platter n masala papad with masala butter milk. Panneer BBQ dishes are rly good n even masala papad was tasty n full of teeka bhujia. 5 points for ambiance. Its a small place looking like a fusion of modern n dhaba styles. Over all a good experience. I would expect some good Desi chats next time.

Very nice place with pleasant ambience and tasty food! Easy to find car parking! Although the options in veg are less, they are tasty! Food overall is in North Indian style and tasty! Lassi is average! Good ambience, good food and big thumbs up for the Gulab Jamoon!

Their parathas are worth a try especially the cheese paratha. Loved the theme and the ambience. Overall a good place to have a meal.

Good place, nice ambience, good food but overly priced. Food quality is good but quantity is less.this place is Pure vegetarian and purely panjabi. What I didn't like is they don't keep drinking water jugs on the table. Had to ask 3 to 4 times for it and finally ended up ordering bottled water, which I hate to do. On a serious note, this is one of the places where bottled water has to be banned. One bottle per table per dine results in about 100 to 150 or more plastic bottles dispossessed in a day. Management please think about it. I am not coming again if you are not doing anything about it.

Didn't like the food what we ordered. It was supposed to be dhaba style paneer but nowhere near to dhaba style. Disappointing

Baba Chatkora restaurant is great for authentic vegetarian cuisine pertaining to the state of Punjab. The food is on power with the taste, quantity and quality that you get in streets of Amritsar and Jalandhar, Punjab. The restaurant’s interior is inspired by a Dhaba but with a nice twist. The entrance of the restaurant is filled with all the reviews of this place. Reading some of the reviews will help you decide what dishes you want to try. My suggestion for the food are:
1. Starters - Afghani Chaap and Palak Cheese Dumpling Kebab
2. Main course: Amritsari Aloo Kulcha and Daal Malji combo
3. Desserts: Matka Lassi and Phirni.

The taste and the quantity is bang on and worth the priceyness.

And if you are a fan of Punjabi music then you will have a great time here.

Costly, Panner Sabji for 275+. Also there is very less space and the tavlbles are very close to each other, no privacy. Not worth visiting twice.

The kulchas were the best I have ever eaten.i come from North India and that means a lot.the flavour of spices and filling, the texture of the dough was not rubbery at all, the crispiness of the kulchas was perfect.will come again and recommend it to others

Nice ambience. Cozy place. Seats offer privacy especially when you are with family or friends. Hygienic. Tasty and authentic pure Vegetarian Punjabi food. Some rare pujabi dishes which are usually not available in other so called Punjabi restaurants. Recommend you visit once and try it yourself.

The 3 star is only for food.pathetic service.the restaurant was full when we entered. We were asked to wait when I popped my head in. No one to right your name on the list. We waited for 20mins and got seated ourselves on the next empty table. When asked to clear the table, the waiter said " hum clear karne wale the, tab AAP Aakar Baithgaye". Like how are we suppose to know that we have to wait when no one attends you outside or put your name on the waitlist? Clearly needs some customer service lessons to unapologetic rude waiters. Coming back to food, the Afghani chaap was lip smacking, dhaba style paneer gravy & biryani was average. Yummy matka lassi.

Amazing place and amazing food. The parathas are so crispy. Lassi is good. Sabzi is really yummy. Chaaps are good.a very good alternative for vegetarians from the famous chicken tikkas. Rajma chawal was also superb.very authentic. A mark of a good restaurant is their consistency.and so far in the 2 visits the consistency has been superb.
