I have visited this place a few times and its one of the best places in Gandhi Bazar. The atmosphere is soothing and the food is delicious, they have a great menu with lot of options to choose from. The staff are friendly and asked for customer feedback after serving the food. Subhash served us and was very kind us, which made us feel happy and the place is worth recommending.
Bangalore Best North Indian Food in one place.affordable and taste is mouthwatering. Our personal Choice is Aam panna Kala khatta Paan lemonade Tomato soup Masala papad Maharaja platter Dal makhni Veg Kolhapuri Garlic naan
I have visited Baisakhi a few times in the past. Their food used to be very good. I always have standard items, as my past experience with these items was excellent.
Not this time, though. I ordered Hot & Sour soup, Tandoori Roti, Aloo Palak and Amritsari Lassi. The soup came pretty quickly, to my surprise. It was watery and didn't taste nice. Didn't want to waste it. So, nearly emptied the bowl. The aloo palak didn't taste good either. The saving grace was the Tandoori Roti, and of course, the lassi. I sincerely hope that the restaurant didn't serve me 'rehashed' food that was cooked the previous day (or before) and deep refrigerated.
The place has proper Punjabi ambience and the menu is likewise. We ordered Paneer pudina tikka, Tawa mushroom and tandoor roti. The food taste delicious but the quantity could have been better and few items were very pricey. They served basil water in copper glasses and mouth freshner condiments in cute drawers. Will recommend for casual eat outs. There is no parking space available as the entire Gandhi bazaar street has been dug up.
I liked the vibes of this place very much, it was calm and jovial. Lot of hit bollywood songs in the background. The food was also delicious. Nice interiors. Not impressed by the customer service though, it was okay. But a good place for vegetarian food.
This restaurant has lost its charm in terms of taste. Completely lost the touch of Punjabi food. Baby corn seekh was not upto the mark in terms of quality and quantity.
It was our first visit, and the unique Punjabi quisine was an elaborate experience in itself. The starters were really flavourful, a tad bit spicy to the likeliness of a typical Punjabi platter. It involved the masala papad, paneer malai, spicy vegetable kebabs, (there are different names). We were so engrossed in enjoying the spread, I forgot that we had to click pictures. The main course was also unique with the bread basket of 5 varieties of flat bread, dal tadka, paneer kofta curry, mixed vegetable curry. Gajar ka halwa was the dessert we ordered and it satiated the sweet tooth of my children. The last was a sweet and salt lassi that totally completed the satisfying meal. Kudos, tobe frank, I haven't eaten such authentic Punjabi cuisine in years and enjoyed every bit. Keep up the good work guys
This is a classic north indian place, serves good food and deserts too. Post lockdown they serve exclusively in the first floor due to lack of service staff. Recently taste has deteriorated a little especially that of matka dum biriyani. Babycorn and paneer satay are a must try here. Most starters are really good so you will hardly go wrong in that department, coming to sides the extra spicy dishes are not as spicy as they claim you can have them if you have a normal palate The lassi and gajar ka halwa are really good
Good place to enjoy authenticNorth indian vegetarian food in the hustle and bustle of Gandhi bazaar. The place has stood the test of time for the past 12-14 years and have been a customer since then.
Ok good taste they did not have dal fry/tadka. Dala Makani that tasted different and hand more of rajma in that felt like having rajma tadka. Other wise I feel it was good. Good ambiance, good service. Amritsar lassi was good but culd have been better.
Taste is ok. Wait time is too long. Waited 30 minutes to get starters. Had order sweet corn soup which was not served. Pricing is little on the higher side. Spent 1 hour to have just paneer tikka, rooting, Curry.
Good and homely food. A bit spicey, but palatable dishes. We tried Rotis and Sarson ka saag. Found the combo yummy. The starters.specially the papadi paneer was delightful.
The food is very tasty and yummy friendly! Their Achari Paneer is a must try! I’ve never been visited there, I’ll surely visit one day! All the foods I’ve ordered online!
Very good Punjabi food in DVG road. Default choice for your taste buds, if you are North Indian dish lover. Oh, don't forget, it is yet another pure vegetarian place and great fun and ambience.
This hotel is a good one! So I being honest I only go there to have a thali which when bought separately is gonna put your wallet on fire so I say that thalis here are pretty affordable and tasty. For authentic punjabi foods, this is the place u must check out
Few places in Bengaluru which provide Punjabi cuisine in most authentic way gladly baishaki is one among them.never disappointed with the food and got great reviews whenever recommended it to people.
I visited this place on Christmas Day. It was not very crowded. The uniqueness of the place lies in the spoon, tumbler and the plate they offer food in. The service was pretty fast and they served hot. Though the gobi chilly which we ordered was not upto mark, the amritsari kulcha was good in taste. If we talk about the quality in comparison with the price, i would say it is a 3 on 5. They have this offer where you register your number into the Baisaki family to get around 10%-20% off on your next visit. Make sure you give your number at the billing desk. On a lighter note, I suggest the hotel to play a better playlist as the same 3 to 4 songs repeated when we were there: P
Small place and ambience is nothing great. Was a bit disappointed with their food. Ordered mushroom pepper fry starter. It was too oily and salty. But the quantity was good. Tried their paneer shashlik biriyani. It was okay. Service is good and everybody is courteous.
This place is always close to my heart. Right from college days to being employed status, this place is always easy on my pockets. Food served is good as well. The place hasnt changed much over years and that's one thing i like most about this place. I once saw v manohar, kannada music director in this hotel.)
Great food and friendly staff. Good place for dining alone or in group. Average cost for 2 people would be approx. Rs. 600. Punjabi Thali was something I wanted to try but unfortunately it wasn't available on weekend. Jain and regular versions of some starters are available. As expected, lassi was awesome!
Car Parking could be an issue if one isn't lucky enough.
It serves amazing north indian food. They also serve Jain food here. Bhindi and paneer curries are too good. A decent place to have food with your friends and family. The waiters are polite.
The Food and all is good, bit the service is very poor. Immediate service is not given, wrong orders are served, extra money is charged due to negligence. But the food is good.
