One among the Bengali eateries at marathali. Very average food. Although they serve bengali food but taste doesn’t like bengali food. Fish fry and chicken cutlet were good. Aloo posto was the worst
If you are craving for good Bengali food here in Bangalore, then Bangaliana Marathahalli can be an option. Sitting atmosphere is just Ok. Overall experience is good.
Ok ok Food.nothing great or bad in it Ordered.from swiggy Katla kalia was okay ish and jhuri bhaja was good. Their allo gobi is very spicy and not mild. Rice quantity is good. Not so authentic taste of bengali food. Would avoid
Very difficult to find the place. Board is almost invisible. This place is near Spice Garden bus stop on main marathahalli varthur Road, situated on 3rd floor, accessible by narrow elevator & gloomy staircase. Ambiance is just room with 7 to 8 table. Good for bachelors to drop in for weekend food craving. Lighting is very gloomy. Operating with skeletal staffing with low energy. Common building toilet & hand-wash facility, hygiene is in question.
I visited on Sunday at 8: 45pm & was dining alone till 9: 30pm and not a single customer dropped in. Only one delivery person came to pick his order.
Food is okay & great value for money. I ordered Fish Meal which consists; 1. Moong Mutter Dal- good in taste & consistency 2. Aloo Gobi Dalna- too much gravy with 2 pieces of all & gobi, taste was ok 3. Bhat- huge quantiry long grain Shella Basmati, almost 550g 4. Fish kalia- decent in taste, not so authentic like a Bangali Bhoj. Size of the fish was very big. 5. Khajoor Tomato Chutney- was tasty but flavour of foron (tempering) missing
At Rs. 250+ taxes for one urban person quantity is huge.
I could have made it Rs. 150/-+ taxes & reduce the quantity by 150g
In Marathahalli 80g Fish curry one gets at Rs. 40/- (Rohu) to Rs. 50/-
