Please do not go with the review. Initially, I had the same concerns, but after viewing the treatment and recommendations, I changed my mind.

I strongly urge checking the efforts of the doctors in place (BFMC) to complete the analysis/scans and provide the best recommendations.

Consider why your family/consultant doctors recommend going to the BFMC for treatment/consultation; the BFMC doctors are the finest at delivering the best advise.for scan and check the areas i will take 30-60 mints.please don't check the time see the efforts and treatment.

We don't know what will happen the next day, but the BFMC doctors will forecast the pros/cons and advise/suggest/consult you on the best course of action.

For BFMC, I recommend that after creating the reports and having them approved by the doctor, it takes 15-20 minutes; perhaps we can reduce that time with minor changes.

Had a memorable experience at BFMC. Everyone is friendly, kind and caring. Dr Srilakshmi and Dr Nithya who performed the preliminary examinations were extremely gentle and supportive. Dr Prathima Radhakrishnan came in with a beaming smile and so much positivity. Very professional and exceptional in her handling of the scan and so personal in her communication. This makes such a huge difference!

The staff at the reception deal with so many patients a day and are still smiling and soft spoken.

The entire experience was very gratifying. Definitely recommend BFMC!

Initially, we were a little nervous after reading so many poor reviews. But I am happy to say we had a seamless and extremely pleasant experience.

BFMC came to us highly recommended by our doctor who said they are the best at what they do.

The team was extremely caring and supportive of my wife’s comfort. Dr. Prathima took the time to make us feel comfortable and deeply involved in understanding the procedure and scan. She shared our joy and astonishment and that was a really lovely feeling. The informative video feed in the waiting area was also helpful.

Today, when the practice is medicine has become impersonal, it was truly a breath of fresh air to spend the morning at BFMC with the team.

A number of reviews here address the long waiting time. We experienced the same but we did not mind it because we understood it as an integral part of the thorough scanning process. We brought along some healthy eats and that kept us cheerful.

They delay the work by a minimum 2 hours. Front office desk people give you wrong communication and hence always ask the doctor directly before following anything. They demand very high compulsory registration charges (500 rs is very high for registration charges) without any explanation. Facility is not maintained clean (toilets were not clean) and upto the mark. The staff doesn't look professional at all.

The centre is not worth your time and peace of mind. They have same modus operandi for all scans. Do scans, scare the hell out of us by declaring babies are abnormal, they have one or the other type of abnormalities and then prey on your fear and helplessness and make you go through various procedures. And reports are always normal, That’s what i see in most of the comments here. They’re hopelessly untrained as their abnormal scans always come incorrect as you visit other centres for 2nd opinions.
The centre seems to be mostly used to training their fellows and patients are training grounds for them.
Each scan here literally takes 6-8 hours, highly unprofessional and severely under managed centre.

This is not fetal medicine centre it is FATAL MEDICINE CENTRE.
AFTER SCANNING MY WIFE GOT HEAVY BLEEDING AND WE ARE IN HOSPITAL.
JUNIOR DOCTER WERE EXPERIMENTING ON MY WIFE.
WORST EXPERIENCE

Money minded, cheating, scans are not accurate, charges are 3 times higher than outside. Chain of doctors try to emotionally grab as much money as possible saying baby is abnormal and need to do, a few more tests like fish etc and provide a huge bill of 50k plus. If you do the same scan outside, you will know the truth. If you are going for a scan on weekdays, better apply a leave. Waiting time is like hell.
Note: If they say, your baby is abnormal, please get out of that place and do the same scans elsewhere, you will know the truth.

Though I haven't been there directly as we preferred going somewhere else for the 2nd opinion rather choosing them again. My 5th month scan was done by one of the assistant from this hospital only (we were unaware of she being an assistant). Her name is Hetal Parmar & I must agree with most of the comments I have seen so far. To our scariest dreams she told our baby is growing abnormal, my placenta is low lying & tried manipulating us saying we need to visit the expert here so that she will made us understand about the NIPT test or the Invasive test required for us & offcourse the price she revealed was a bomb. Upon asking cross questions about my double marker & 3rd month scan report being normal she clearly told as this is not done by us we don't trust it (we moved from Pune). Like seriously.she thinks the doc having 30+yrs experience is not trustworthy than her? Despite of everything the trauma she had given us was not bearable for the next couple of hours. I could not breathe normally for 2mins.listening the possibility of abortion at that stage! We consulted another radiologist who is a professor & did a 3D scan infact where he took time clear all my doubts this lady had created showing me the evey smallest marker of down syndrome & declared the baby is normal & evrything is fine. He also told me the exact way of communication by most of these BFM radiologist do with the patients with the charges very clearly. Imagine how famous these people are looting the patients. But imagine the fact what Ms. Hetal had given & made us broken emotionally. This is really pathetic. For some money, they play with our emotions, mental well being at that moment of time when we are carrying a little human inside whose evrything is dependent on us. Very very careless & unsensible professionals. I am again scheduled for my 7th month scan & clearly told my doc to assign some other experienced radiologist but not her. Very disgusting experience I must say when someone try to make money from your helpless situation. These people don't deserve to be called as doctors. Pathetic half cooked products! I wonder how dey even managed getting a licence for them & it should be banned by IMA clearly.

Worst experience of my life I will never recommend anybody to take scan from their, they only earn money no satisfaction to the patients if you booked already appointment then also no use, u need to wait for 3-4 hours, aa they say they have high resolution machines nothing is like that I couldn't find any such difference, and doctor prathima comes at last for few minutes just like formality other nurses will do the whole scan.

Went for Karyotyping Amniocentesis test.
The test process is bit complex but the technician/doctor explained all the process and made very comfortable.

We have to reach there as per the given schedule but it will be extended for a couple of hours based on the patients. (dealing with womb is not easy, patience is more important)

In nearby shops, you can get fruits, juices, hotels/restaurants etc,

Very bad experience. All scans are done by assistants who introduce themselves as doctors while they are the trainees and have no knowledge. Required doctor comes only for last 5min and does not explains much which they should.
Also prices are unreasonable, they charged 4400 for a quadruple market test while it's max 2500 at any other place. Pathetic experience, would not recommend to anyone. There are better hospitals with better services and reasonable pricing.

BFMC has the best sonographers in the city (and I'd say they are as good or better than the ones abroad) - competent and very empathetic, which isn't easy to find. Yes, there's a long wait, but if you go prepared for that one aspect, the rest of your experience is extremely positive. I've every single time had a positive experience here.

Very disappointed!
Our gynac had referred bfmc for anomaly scan under Dr. Prathima radhakrishnan. No matter for which doctor u take the appointment, all the scans are done by assistant doctor and the main doctor comes at last and tell that everything is normal! Without even explaining anything. And when confronted with Dr. Prathima, she says the whole scan was done by herself and she explained us everything!
And they claim their machines are of high resolution and sophisticated but the scan images says otherwise. We were not able to identify even a single image. For those trainees we were just projects and assignments, they were mostly taking images that they wanted for submissions and clearing their respective doubts! Overall very disappointed by their service!

Very good and experienced panel of doctors for fetal medicine, gynaecology and obstetrics. Front office takes lot of time in registration and providing reports. Poor management of customers.

Offcourse they will charge high. You are paying for the skill. They are far more knowledgable and trained than other scan centres.

Terrible time management, no value of the appointment time. Had to wait for 4 hours despite being the 2nd appointment of the day. The patient registration charges are the highest I've ever seen - 500 rs! On top of everything, the scans are mostly done by the junior doctor and not the one you have an appointment with.

Very good diagnostic centre Staff is very dedicated and helpful. Appointment also doesnot take much time. They check each and every thing very carefully and spends a lot of time in the investigation. It was a wonderful experience in BFMC.

BFMC no doubt is place full of highly trained and expert gynaecologists with great compassion and supportive nature.

Dr Pratima is phenomenal in dealing with patient and explaining the situation. She makes sure that you have no doubt once you coming out of BFMC on what to do next.

Had been visited today for anomoly scan. As requested, bill has to be done as per anomoly scan but fetal echo also added in the bill without request and not fetal echo done. I was surprised after seeing the bill. As I see anomoly scan is 3 times higher when compared to outside diagnostic centers. Once I raised this, then they discussed and removed the fetal echo amount. I would recommend the visitors to double check the bill before leaving. They had taken 10rs for aadhar Xerox apart from all these things.

No words to describe, but very much unethical behaviour from the receptionists, very rude, they dont know how to talk, as soon as you enter they get scared why customer has come, and ask you like what happened, why are you here like negetively, i personally felt it so.if you dont bring your mask, you are treated like an outsider with no value, 1 women over there is mad and mental, she keeps on saying wear your mask, wear your mask, its irritating.many parents got irritted with her.heights.its not matter of money over here, its matter of amount of respect you owe to each other.as you have kept a small wall paper there stating - our staff needs respect, so do we.think from both side.my humble request talk politely with your customers, it takes nothing to smile and talk).

We consulted Dr Prathima for fetal scan. Not only she is a good clinician but also a very good human. She has brilliant knowledge of her field. We had very good experience in her centre. Would definately recommend her and BFMC

I had 5th month scan done by Dr. Veena Acharya, she is a very kind and gentle doctor. Such a sweet heart and the way she exalting the scan result is amazing and I really refer her for scans that need to be done during pregnancy.
I do not know why the ratings are low for his but it’s a very good scan center out there in Banglore

We would like to extend our greatest thanks to Dr. Prathima and the BMFC team for their support during our pregnancy. During a complicated pregnancy, we really appreciated not just the medical expertise we received, but also the kindness and attentive care we felt from the front-end staff, nurses, and all of the doctors and trainees who attended us. We truly appreciated that regardless of how busy the clinic appeared to be, time and consideration was always given to address all of our hopes, fears and questions. Each and every scan and procedure was thorough and the results/outcomes clearly explained. It is true you may have to wait for some time, but I felt it was because of this mentioned thorough care and was absolutely worth it. I would highly recommend this center to anyone, especially those who might have pregnancy complications.

Simply one sentence: Totally money minded people.
All tests are extremely costly. Our doc sent is there to get opinion based on the scans done which are done one day ago. But they rejected to see them and forced us to go through another scan and their machines are so old and they can't detect the real issue.
Finally they checked the old reports and gave some inconclusive statements which they should have done first and charge for consultation. But, in my case they charged nearly 10k. Too bad. If you want to go there be prepared to get the same scans or blood tests etc which were already done. They won't give any opinion based on the other hospital reports. Simply waste of time and money. Better to consult 2,3 docs before coming here.
Make sure your visit is extremely needed else don't come and waste your money. Attached the price list for each test.

Admistration is very bad, even after filling the forms with patient details, they enter wrong details into the system and the report. I got the report with patient dob, email id, wrong. Initially the junior doctor did the scan and got confused and said to wait us by saying we can't see the baby properly and after many hours of wait finally the senior doctor with whom we take the appointment came and did the scan (senior doctor is good and gave us the good news and showed the baby properly). To get the scan done we have to wait for 5hours. My advice to management 1.pls have proper receptionist who can entre the patient detail correctly and also make sure, junior doctors are bit more confident and clear before doing the scan if not patient will get scared.

Dont go by the comment section. You get the best advice, care and treatment by the best doctors. Yes its bit expensive, yes you need to wait for xyz hours, yes the staffs and doctors are strict. All because of the demand and time they spend on each case. But ultimately what matters is well being of both Mother and child (foetus). We had great experience at BFMC.

I have a overall good experience and writing review to clarify the negative reviews, as I found the reviews were misleading. Doctors and staff are so cooperative. My scan was conducted by Dr. Veena and her team and they are superb patience and calm through the process. Understand each and every details and guide accordingly. My scan took two days to understand the complete details and they were so clam in conducting all multiple sittings and guided us so well. I would recommend everyone for this place for any type pregnancy scans. Place is well managed with all COVID protocol.

We met Dr.prathima madam and team really we feel happy they explained clearly with lot of patience thank you madam.

Great doctors. Doing their best. As for all pregnancy scans time and dedication is required, couples need to come with ample time and no other appointments to rush to.

Centre is good. Doctors are good and puntual. They will clear the doubt in the patient's mind. They are not fussy if we are not fussy.

Today I went to BFMC for scanning. Usually we comment and rate any organisation when we have bad experience. But I am doing it as I have very good experience. Lot of negative comments are written about the centre. Though they charge comparatively more but it is worth paying as they provide very good service, a detailed scan is done. First a junior doctor does the basic scan followed by Senior doctor. Dr. Reeth Sahana of BFMC did my scan, she was very polite and humble. Infact all the doctors & staff were good. I had a good experience. I would definitely recommend BFMC if you are looking for detailed scan.

The place is not managed correctly.
Could be better.
With certain aspects, I feel these guys are running a premium photocopy shop for rs 10 per copy.
The place is over expensive.
The same diagnosis is available at a cheaper price outside.

I was recommended to visit Dr. Prathima, by my regular radiologist & gynecologist, as they apprehended some underlying complications given my MCDA twin pregnancy. We approached BFMC with a lot of emotional distress and concern about my pregnancy.

The front desk ladies were strict yet polite about COVID protocols. I was informed in advance (over phone) about basic protocols like permitting only one bystander, submission of Govt ID proof copy, bringing food etc. The first thing we were requested was to wash our hands with soap, which is rarely taken care of at other places (I say this from my experience of visiting so many other hospitals before landing at BFMC).

The initial formalities of filling forms, checking weight, BP etc.took about 10-15 mins. Even the staff who checks BP and weight was very courteous and friendly. I was called inside after waiting for around 15 mins. I was glad and surprised because all reviews warned of this place to be infamous for their delays and lack of sticking to allocated timings.

During the scan, I could visibly notice the amount of dedication put in by the team of doctors. Initial measurements were taken by junior doctors and Dr. Prathima came in thereafter. She carried an aura of positivity and warmth around her which itself was pacifying. She engaged in some conversation and small talks during the scan, to ensure that I am comfortable. With her adeptness, she completed the scanning procedure and made her observations. The entire procedure took slightly more than an hour. While I was getting exhausted and bored during the scan, the doctors were thoroughly dedicated and focused.

Post the scan, we were called for a counselling session with Dr. Prathima. She explained the impending complication in detail in layman's language. Throughout the counselling, she ensured not to make the situation frightening for us and explained everything calmly and was happy to patiently listen to our queries as well.

Obtaining the reports took some time, but we were prepared for the wait. Moreover it is understandable that a scan which took 1 hour of dedicated and precise observation may take some time to get reported.

I have been visiting BFMC for all my scans and with each visit my confidence and comfort at this place has only been increasing. Dr. Pathima ensures that we are informed of the progress observed after every scan.

With the guidance and assistance from BFMC I am 30 weeks pregnant now and both my babies are happily kicking inside me while I am giving this review:)

Would definitely recommend BFMC. A safe and positive place to visit for any pregnancy related issue.

Bangalore Fetal Medicine Centre is an perfect place for accurate reports. I have my own experience with this centre. Dr Prathima Radhakrishanan and her team are amazing and expert in fetal medicine and also good supportive staffs. I never mind about the waiting period, I sincerely suggest this place to my friends and relatives.

Anomaly scan appointment was at 11 30, was almost 12 30 by the time my turn came. Not an issue since these procedures can't be timed precisely. Have to fill out several forms which I found tedious. During the scan, the foetus wasn't in the ideal position so I was sent to have lunch and come back for repeat scan which would encourage the foetus to switch position. The team of doctors are visibly dedicated. They were
thorough and patient during the procedure, they all put me at ease and explained what was visible on the monitor and encouraged questions. By the time the scan was done and I received the report, it was 4 30 pm. This was the first experience during a scan where the doctor communicated well with me. Or else it's usually walk in and walk out where the doctor doesn't explain to me what's going on.
Dr. Pratibha was the senior doctor who signed off on my reports. And her team of doctors are very good as well. Thank you all!

1. It's not an instant procedure, so don't complain about wait time.
2. Respect the Covid protocols in place, and wear your masks completely.
3. Carry food and water.
4. CARRY PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR ID. They mention it specifically when you take the appointment, it is your own fault if you fail to do it.

Very poor response from the staff, too much waiting. Though Doctor treated well, she didn't explain to me anything.just scanned and gave the report. If that is the we could have get the scan at NH.

Highly recommend BFMC. I have had my second childs pregnancy scans done here. Drs are exceptional and skilled. Don't bother about the wait times etc etc. All of it is worth for the results they share.

Good Fetal Medicine Centre in Bangalore. Dr. Veena Acharya and team was so good in checking the fetal heart and all body parts of the kid. Doctors here are so patient that if baby is in wrong direction to take the scan, they will be asking to wait and call multiple times and get the scan done and making sure they collect traces of all the body parts of the baby. Really good service. Neatly maintained. Immediate reports are available. Parking was good. Located on the main road of Indira Nagar. We are happy with the doctors treatment here.

31/12/2019:
We are asked to leave after the scan, and when we are half of the way to the home receptionist called again to come to hospital to scan the reports what doctor gave, and no excuse for that as it is govt mandatory for them it seems, being pregnant, my wife too came again to hospital just for their scanning of reports. Clear negligence towards pregnant ladies.

21/01/2020:
No order is followed by the front desk, patients will be called in random. Didn't liked to see pregnant ladies waiting for so long time even being coming first, that too we are here for repetitive scans for every week. Patients came later than us are called first. We are ready to wait, but when new patients who submitted file after us are called first is worst.
Always junior doctors who are in training will be checking the patients and killing time to know the equipment buttons what is designed for what before the senior doctor comes in.

I was skeptical to visit the centre after reading the reviews but I had a good experience.
I visited the centre for Anomaly scan and was 30 mins late. Despite it being a weekday, it was crowded. I was called in 30 mins after I reached which is fine considering I've always had to wait for more than an hour in all hospitals earlier for check-ups, regular visits etc.

There were 2 doctors who performed my scan and a senior doctor who dropped by frequently. They were scanning and discussing among themselves. I had requested for Dr. Prathima for consultation and she came in 20 mins into my scan and explained the scans she did and told me all was well and explained few things.

With respect to appointment, I had called the reception and asked what was required and whether my bladder should be full or empty. They answered my questions. Had also called me the day before my appointment to reiterate on the ID proof I had to bring for appointment. Overall a really good experience!

One of worst managed place. If you can spend whole day as if you have nothing else to do then visit this place.
They are managed very poorly and you have to wait a lot for many hours even if you have done bookings a week advanced.
Hope they improve their quality of management, staffs and pre doctor/specialist scans soon.
I don't think we will visit again for other scans here.

Worst experience they use our emotions to do business. Unnecessary expensive test. That makes bad impact on baby growth.

Worst waiting period, irresponsible answer by the staff members, managing time intervals, no particular information about doctor's appointments, otherwise treatment is good.

Just to show the report they asked me to wait and wait for 2 hours. They could have told me then that doctors are busy and it is not possible today. I think they wanted me to pay the consultation fee and then only i would be allowed to meet the doctor. Thie waiting story is evryday and the front desk is pathetic. They just bluff anf nothing more. I dnt suggest and i dnt want to come back here.

There are too many negative reviews, whereas that’s not the experience which I felt. We had Twin baby and v were given appointment for 1 pm and later we were called in at 3: 30. Others have reviewed very negatively just cos of waiting period, pls tell me in which hospital there is no waiting period and Doctor will be sitting idle expecting you to arrive.
NT Scan was done for almost an hour depending on the baby positions and it was explained in detail.
Doctor Prathima herself did the scan and explained us in detail and even other fellow Doctors Dr Priyadarshini and Dr Shilpa were very professional and helpful.
Each and every penny spent here is worth.
Everyday 30-40 patients visit the clinic and the negative rating is just 40-50 in combined. So maybe less than 1% of the patients wouldn’t b satisified.
Though we waited for almost 2 hours for the scan it’s nothing when you see the baby on the screen.
Mothers pls carry fruits and snacks.

I want to thank Dr Prathima Radhakrishna for her hospitality and warmthness. She is undoubtedly a good doctor, but more than that, she is an great human being. She has been comforting me and was like a mother figure to me in my most difficult time during my anomaly scan. She has always made sure I was comfortable and took good amount of time to complete my scan. She always held my hand during my scan and gave me confidence and comfort. The more I thank Dr Pratima, the less it is. I have never come across a doctor or in that matter a human being so warm, good and comforting. She is very approachable. I could ask all my doubts and my worries. She can heal patients just by her warmthness. We need more people and doctors like her. I look upto you Dr! I lack words to describe her. She is just a truest amazing human being. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Doctor!

After reading all reviews I was scared to go to BFMC for second opinion but I am thankful to Dr. Veena Acharya and team for how they handled the situation. Whole team was nice and cooperative.

Too much of time delay, be ready to sit for hours together. Unsystematically handling the patients. You will seriously fall sick waiting for this long. Not at all worth the money we pay.

Process was systematic special mention to DR Veena for the scan and we had to spent just an hour to get NT scan and few blood tests done here

After reading all the reviews, i was scared to do my detailed anomaly scan in BFMC. But it was totally a different experience. It hardly took 1 hour to complete all the procedure including the report and i would like to thank Dr. Prathima and team for giving us such a wonderful experience.

Our appointment was on 26 june 2019 3: 30pm, we came to test center at 2: 55 pm and submit filled form with supporter doc at 3: 10 pm, but right now it, s 5: 00 pm still no information about my number, when will my scan happen or start. Waiting time is too much, if you query about this issue then no support from team.
It's my worst experience. They don't value of other person time and feeling.
I will not refer to this center to my friend's group or others.

I had scan at BFMC and I should say am happy that I got it done there. Yes, I had to wait quite some time. But it was my baby who took time to turn and pose for study of heart and others. Very worst experience ever i had, my appointment was there at 11 am still my time came at 4 PM, every time i asked at reception they was telling after 3 patient your number is there.

Best consulting experience with Dr. Parthima, thanks a lot for your guidance and support. BFMC needs to have better front desk staff as they lack customer consultation skills and quality of service.

Bangalore fetal medicine center has the best fetal medicine specialists. The doctors here are extremely professional and polite. It indeed is the tertiary level centre for fetal scans. I would just want to suggest that the waiting time be explained to the patient during the appointment itself, so that we can prepare ourselves accordingly and go for the scan.

Best centre to handle complications in transparent manner. Nice and extremely competent set of Doctors.qualified to handle any complication as I came up one with.very empathetic team who take care and give extra time to explain the purpose of each tests and its impact on the baby health. They do the scan in most appropriate manner which is the most imp factor.felt assured that baby was in safe hands.overall very satisfying experience. Clean and Hygenic setup.

One of the worst experience, i went to my second baby scan, but before that I went to my first baby scan, they told to do carriyo type test collececo 17 k but after results nothing issue they said I strongly doubt on the corporate doctor's small scan also they are collecting minimum 5 k.

I asked receiptio to give feed back form but refused to give.

I went CMH, every facility available but doctor suggested to go BFMC only to get their commission s

I strongly recommend not to visit this kind of money cheating BFMC

Time to time they change the charges

Cheating people money it not ethical manner karnataka state government should take necessary action this kind of people

It is one of the worst clinic I've ever seen. Don't go on the replies by the centre head and don't make your self into soup by looking at the distance. They always work for money. It is a money oriented centre. Other than this there are other centre where at least you will be treated as a mother, but here they treat you like an ATM. Because of their negligence we lost our son who was a pre-term baby. Staff will not disclose what's going on while scanning, simply they will murmur and they will call their experts. They will make you to sit whole day by simply saying we are not able to see the baby. Definitely you are going to waste whole one day if you are dropping at this centre. Reports will not delivered in proper time. Doctors doesn't know how to talk with expected mothers. If you keep on ask for reports then will not respond. This centre doesn't suits even for one star, but in order to write review i just gave it.

Thanks Dr. Prathima, Dr. Veena and the entire BFMC team for guiding us and taking us smoothly through the rough phase we were undergoing related to complicated twin pregnancy.
Counselling was at its best and convincing enough to undergo the prescribed tests and scans which was worth every penny spent.
Wait was at times long, sometimes irritating and tiring too, but I must say every wait too was worth now looking at the twin babies hale n hearty.
