Don't visit with the expectations like the palaces of Rajasthan. It's not at all the palace. Rather than showcasing royal family culture, it is more focused on showcasing the British era. The outside view is the best thing rather than inside. You should visit the place just to strike out the place in your to-do list.

A beautiful heritage site in the heart of the city. The tourist spot is well maintained. There's usually a rush on weekends and holidays at the entry queue. They charge Rs 240 for Indians and Rs. 480 for foreigners as the entry fees.

At the entrance we can avail Free Audio Guide in 3 different languages.
Then as we walk around the beautiful, majestic palace and keep listening to the History of the "Wadiar" with the audio, it takes around 45 minutes to complete the stroll and exit.
After which we can take photographs outside the palace as it is prohibited inside the palace.

It's a nice place for a family outing or as a tourist spot.

It's wonderful experience I had, And also i have visited to world coffee conference 2023 there was amezing interior designs in palace.

It looked grand and pompous but it turned interesting and magical once we started the audio guide that made the visit way more meaningful.

Relatively small palace. Well maintained. The lighting and paint colors inside the palace didn't give too much of a grand feeling (This is presumably after the restoration works changed the original paints etc). There's an entry fee. A free audio guide is given with earphones which is really useful in giving context to the pictures of royal family members on the wall and other display items. A good number of rooms in the palace are sealed off. Overall it is worth a casual visit.

No photography allowed, because there is nothing worthy of photograph inside the palace. Waste of money. Only the garden was descent, but again not worth 250.

Better go to Mysore with same money and explore the palace there. It's much much better.

Bangalore Palace is a true architectural gem nestled in the heart of Bengaluru, India. This magnificent palace is a testament to the city's rich history and is a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike.

The first thing that strikes you about Bangalore Palace is its stunning architecture. Designed in a blend of Tudor and Scottish Gothic styles, the palace is a visual delight. The intricate woodwork, towering turrets, and beautiful stained glass windows transport you to a bygone era. The palace is a photographer's dream, with every nook and corner offering a picturesque backdrop.

The interior of the palace is equally captivating. The opulent rooms are filled with period furniture, family photographs, and memorabilia, providing a glimpse into the lives of the royal family who once resided here. The Durbar Hall, with its massive chandeliers and ornate ceilings, is a highlight.

The palace grounds are well-maintained and offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll through the gardens or enjoy a picnic on the lush lawns. The rose garden, in particular, is a favorite spot for nature lovers.

One of the standout features of Bangalore Palace is the audio-guided tour. It provides a comprehensive overview of the palace's history, architecture, and the royal family's legacy. The narration is informative and engaging, making the visit educational as well as enjoyable.

While Bangalore Palace is undoubtedly a must-see attraction, it's essential to check the visiting hours and any special events or exhibitions that might be taking place during your visit. The palace often hosts cultural events and art exhibitions, which can add an extra layer of charm to your experience.

In conclusion, Bangalore Palace is a living testament to Bengaluru's rich heritage. Its stunning architecture, well-preserved interiors, and lush surroundings make it a captivating destination for history buffs, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone looking to immerse themselves in the city's cultural legacy. Don't miss the opportunity to explore this royal masterpiece when you're in Bengaluru.

The outside of the palace was good.
But inside there is nothing, it's just a waste of money.
Will not recommend anyone to visit Bangalore palace

Bangalore Palace is a royal palace located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, in an area that was owned by the Rev. John Garrett, the first principal of the Central High School in Bangalore, now famous as Central College. The commencement of the construction of the palace is attributed to him.

For the price of ₹240 I don't think it's worth it and YES! You can click photos inside just not infront of security. Only Limited rooms are for public display later it's free to room in the garden.

I don't see any reason why this place is rated 4.2, apart from the hefty ticket price you'll also lose your time which you can spend visiting some good places.
They have locked every room and now it's just like you're having a verandah walk by just looking at the mirror in which you can see yourself and say "KATWA LIYA CHUTIYA".

Great Place to visit. We can see the things of Rani and Rajkumar were they would live in the vaccation and few monuments and it's a historic place.

From outside, it looks like a palace from Disney fairytale. Most rooms are not accessible to the visitors though the ones open give a grand view of what Kings and noblemen enjoyed in their peak.
Lots of paintings, furniture, showcases grand lifestyle while giving a glimpse of history. Some artefacts like bin made out of elephant legs and trunk relive some horrors of the past. Surely, they can't say "no animals were harmed while making this palace"
Some artefacts and installations like electric system bring nostalgic feeling of 70s and 80s.
The lawn outside it is huge and often rented for functions like marriages. Garden is beautiful.
Huge parking outside premises but a little bit away.

It's worth to visit this place.but one thing is very disappointing most of the area of this palace is under maintenance so u can't see all the corners. They also charge rs 300 for mobile camera in addition to rs240 entry fees.
25 अप्रैल 2021 22:30
They charged ₹240 ticket per head. For this price it's not even close to being worth.

If you have never seen a palace, you can visit once. I've visited many other palaces, and with my experience for the kind of experience it offers, it's worth ₹30 or ₹40 only, or let say ₹50 at max. There is nothing much to see inside, I can say you'll finish seeing everything in 10-15 minutes.

And the security guy was rude, he was pointing everyone towards the ticket board showing the ticket price, like people come here for freeloading.

The garden outside is pathetic, residential parks in Bengaluru are maintained better than this.

The front view and the garden in front of it is Good. Not sure y we have to pay 400 RS to carry the mobile inside n take pics
22 फरवरी 2019 13:40
It's less crowded city with gud south Indian Street food. Less pollution than Delhi and easy to commute anywhere in city
13 फरवरी 2019 7:35
Get ready to pay 300 extra for taking pics with phone, 710 extra for taking pics with camera. On top of 240 which is entry fee. Place is nice but behavior of some security staffs are extremely rude. And its not worth a whopping Rs 950 for taking pictures.

Bangalore palace is not well maintained, it is in a very busy market.it is not preserved well. While comparing the palaces and forts of Rajasthan, this is not a big wonder. A very small palace, You can visit their if you have plenty of time, else please do not plan. Nothing great to see.
20 जनवरी 2019 6:42
An amazing and must see place if you are visiting Bengaluru. The entry fees is INR 240/- for Indians. As you enter the palace you can borrow audio set, by depositing an ID proof or some amount (I guess it was 2000/-). This audio set narrates the whole story of the build and the great personalities of Mysore kingdom. They have a beautiful garden.
15 जनवरी 2019 7:41
The place is an incredible knowledge about the royal time. Still feel the cost of the ticket is quite expensive. So if you are planning to go with friends, just buy one ticket and make one to get in and tell him to shoot everything in phone camera and then have a watch over the same. Else not worth the price for that ticket
11 जनवरी 2019 10:46
A must visit but an expensive place. They charge 240 INR per head for an adult and another 300 INR if you would like to take pictures on your mobile. It is more expensive for DSLR's and I do not know the exact price.

Me along with my wife and son reached this palace at around 3.00 PM and trust me it was too hot. I suggest people visit this place after 4.00 PM as it will be more pleasant. There is enough place to park your car or your two wheeler, however the parking area could have been well maintained and I wonder where are the funds collected spent.

Most of the palace is in good shape, however not all the places. Looks like the royal family never visits and the person in charge is ignorant.

This place is a photographer's delight and anybody with a decent camera phone can get back home with exceptional pictures. Trust me, you will not regret paying 300 INR or more to capture photographs here. This historical place can be so much better. Good luck!

It's a palace belongs to Wodiar dynasty. Entry Fee of Rs. 240 per person is on the higher side. If someone wants to take Digital Camera then fee is Rs. 500 and Rs. 300 for mobile phone camera. After getting inside visitors were charges for mobile guide via headphones. However, inside the palace pictures of the Royal family found hanging on the wall. The garden is very beautiful. Few rooms were closed for maintenance and few were reserved for Royal family.

Don't go For Bangalore palace
Totally waste of money & time.
Paintings are very ordinary feel boaring.
04 जनवरी 2019 17:07
Just good to see from outside.they charge 240/- as entry fee which is waste of money.you can cover palace interior in 30min which is worth hardly Rs. 50/-.
04 जनवरी 2019 5:29
Too much hype for this place, totally not worthy, rather than calling it as a palace you can call as photo gallery, 240rs entry such a waste, the exterior looks good, interiors are not good, the palace is filled with 100s of photos and nothing else, every room in the Palace is closed. Just the hallway and few other rooms are open only to see filled just with photographs and cutlery items. Will never recommend this to anyone. Such a money minded greedy management looting money from public, 240 for entry, 300 for mobile camera, 720 for digital camera, 1400 for video. Only good thing is free for kids under 10, just wondering why they spared that alone.

If you had already visited mysore palace (amba vilas) then i suggest that this palace is not worth visiting. Adding to that the cost of the ticket is Rs 240 (as on 10.11.2018) and you have to shell out another Rs 300 in case you want to take photos with mobile camera.if mysore palace entry ticket is Rs 50.this bengaluru palace entry ticket should not be more than Rs 5.you get FREE audio jacks with 21 places. Once you come across the exhibit you need to chose the no in the mobile.the audio will be played telling the importance of that.what kings had done there.etc etc. Nothing great inside except for some vintage photos.if i had to summarise in one word in telugu (dabbulu bokka). You can take a picture outside the palace to show off without going inside.if you like the garden then visit lalbagh or cubbon park.if you dont mind spending a Rs 800 per couple with camera.then you can visit otherwise you can give a miss.i didnt like the exploitation of the poor tourists.i think ASI should takeover this property.

Pretty nice place. Nice grounds and gardens. It would be nice to have more historical information about the place outside if one goes when it isn't open to the public, but otherwise, no complaints.
You can even see what looks to be battle damage on one of the turrets, but there was no information about that.
16 दिसंबर 2018 11:52
Palace is best place for photographs.if you want to see inside you need to pay 240 for one adult and below 10 years free.
11 दिसंबर 2018 17:57
I visited palace two times in last two months with my relatives. It is worthless place to charge Rs. 240 per person.and more than half of the palace is closed for maintainance since a month.they give you an audio tour guide which is also pointless because u wont be able to create story out of it. It has all disconnected explainations. Better to have a view of it from outside thats all.
09 दिसंबर 2018 14:01
It's historical place located in benglore.big palace but private property and costly entree fees.for adult charge is 200-300 Rs.photo taking not allowed.for photo extra 200 have to pay.old material and picturs.giving history of palace.in front of palace big garden is there. Old construction of palace. CCTV.nice to visit.
09 दिसंबर 2018 11:55
Good for One time experience. Pretty cold, people with breathing issue better avoid it. Had Good experience with family.
04 दिसंबर 2018 0:48
The palace ground can be booked for convention meetings, marriage and any other celebration. Huge and convenient place
01 दिसंबर 2018 20:44
Great palace spread in more than 200 acres I guess. Photography outside the palace is free but if you want to explore the inside the fee is ₹250/person +photography charge extra.
