Barsha is Bengali community who organise Durga Pujo with cultural events, food stalls, flea markets, shows, Bengali dj nights. This time it was organised on silver county road The pandal was huge and beautiful. Entry was free. Bit difficult to find parking.
Have been visiting for the last 2 years. This time they have shifted to a new location in silver County road which has even more space available with more parking space as well. Good arrangements this year and was able to offer pushpanjali on maha ashtami this time.
Durga pujo organized by BARSHA group is excellent.protima looks unique with the glittering gold and silver ornaments.the lion looks very realistic.there's ample of paid car parking, and bhog was delicious. I met my colleague Debgiri Sanyal who is one of the active members in the committee.i have been visiting this pujo mantap for the last 3 years.it's worth a visit.highly recommended.
Really Bad experience. It's Open to all event but to be honest non members will be treated differently. We travelled 8+ km for bhog which was at 2 pm and when we reached there at 2: 10 pm. We were told we need coupon for any bhog and there was noone giving coupons when we tried to find out. It's very strange that all coupons get over in 10 mins time. The area is so remote that getting an ola or uber from this place is a nightmare. Made a very bad decision to visit for bhog. Disappointed.
It was one of the best pujo of bangalore we have ever seen. Very cordial organizers. They managed pujo so well.even during covid conditions. Little strictness that they showed was only to adhere to government protocols. This is my go to pujo of bangalore from here on. Thanks Barsha team to arrange this Puja with best coordination.
Very poor planning. Rude and unhelpful. There were many people looking for the puja throughout hsr layout. Unhelpful management when we called them to find the location. Rude staff when we arrived at the location finally. Such abrasive uppity behaviour is really sad to see.
The attitude of the members are very rude.may be the idol is bigger than MANPHO but they can learn how to treat outsiders (non members) from them. It does not make any sense to allow non members for Barsha.
During 2021 durga puja they utilised the convention center. Their arrangements were nice. They have maintained the sanitization part effectively. Best part was allowing non-members to visit the pooja place. They made sure people will go in batches and wear mask. Sanitizers were available. Pooja was done very nicely. Neat and clean. Best wishes for future events.
This is shifted to Siddhartha Convention Hall, 27th main, 26th Cross, Sector 2, HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560102
Non-members are allowed darshan only after 2 pm which shouldn't be the case. This is not a celebrity program but festival and should everyone be given the same privilege to pay a visit and get darshan. If they wish can have separate line for non-members that can be considered fine.
Bhog is available only for members. It's prasad and should be given to all. If you wish to charge for that go ahead. Like Sweets are sold in shops na so let this be the case here also but atleast people willing to get the bhog can have a chance. I saw non members ready to pay even then the bhog was not given to them.
Located at HSR. Must go for Bengalis in Bangalore. Even when most of the Durga Pujas allowed members only during 2020-21, this puja allowed non members also. They deserve appreciation for this.
Now these people will decide when goddess Durga is going to give darshan to non members of the association. Felt really bad when they turned me back and didn't even allow to have a look. What kind of puja are you doing guys by not allowing the devotees who are coming from different parts of Bangalore. I am sure goddess Durga won't be very happy with your deeds.
Good puja but lack of organising and should give some time to see atleast of Maa Durga they are rushing Location was really wrong thing management should update this so that others should not face problems Theme is good
Saw just a fleeting glimpse of Maa. Cant stand for even a second because a man with a mic kept shepherding us like sheep, the pretext was corona. But there was no restriction in the food stalls, because that was making money.
Really good they have arranged Durga Puja in this situation. But this year there is rectriction to entry which made many people upset to see Maa Durga Idol.
Reviewing for 2021 - we went and there was no pandal to be found. There were others too who were confused and nobody knew what to do where to go. I guess an update would have helped.
We understand that they have protocols in place for covid. But the way treat people and their emotions is absolutely horrible. Stood in a line for 20 minutes and got only 5 second time inside the pandal. They wouldn’t let you even stand and constantly shout if you don’t walk to the exit. 5 seconds is also too much considering how eager to move the queue to the food stalls.totally commercialised. Totally not worth it. Thanks for ruining Durga puja for me:)
Really nice experience on Nabami at Barsha. After seeing few negative reviews some sort of skepticism was at the back of the mind. But after reaching out it was very nice and pleasant encounter. Outside long queue was there but it was moving rapidly. Timing was till 6.30 pm. Organizers managed large crowds aptly. Thanks & keep going in every year.
There is no durga murti.full to faltu time waste money waste 18 km dur se ayetge 5 o clock me v close hey Mandir agar jaldi band karna hey toh 6 pm ko qun mention kiye ho time ko dekh kar hum ayethe wo v before 1 hour.
Disgraceful. Letting non members get drenched in the rain by closing their gates and doors. Reminded me of the "Dogs and Indians not allowed" time. Felt ashamed being part of the same tribe.
