MUST VISIT for 1. Best coffee in town. 2. Best service. 3. Food Quality and Quantity 4. Manager who took care of us is really sweet. 5. Best view for street pics 6. Ambiance
The only discomfort we had was a service lady looking at us weirdly. She never listened to our order, kinda rude way of doing things. Manager took care of of us before she continued so we didn’t had any bad experience.
Had great coffee and food at this place in coorg, beautiful ambiance and a Rich history. You’ll have Mr. Bheem the owner of this place. He has a lots of chef and food stories to share.
Must visit place for coffee enthusiasts. Service is quick and polite. If you need some place to chill after the scenic beauty of Coorg, totally recommended property to enjoy food with warm ambience. And Mr. Bheem will be the charm for you if you can have some stories or joke from him
Really loved the ambience and especially their service. Mr. Bheem is very friendly and funny person, interacted really well. Their variety of coffees and menu is very good. We had a very long day by travelling but ended with a pleasant coffees here. Don't miss to go for a relaxing evening.
Excellent cafe located in Raintree restaurant. It is in a old house renovated as restaurant which gives a very nice feeling. Service is very fast as they served Cafe Frappe in 5 minutes. Frappe was awesome with appropriate amount of coffee, milk and sugar in it. Price is also reasonable and they have a good variety of coffee. Totally worth visiting and loved the experience
The food could be better. Pet friendly with outdoor seating. We ordered manchow soup which full of pepper and wasn’t so flavourful. Then we tried the ghee roast. It was ok. Authentic taste wasn’t there. Server was nice and cooperative
It was a great experience knowing about coffee, almost had a coffee tour in the cafe. Prakash was very knowledgeable and shared all information about coffee
Cozy place with a great ambience. We worked from the cafe remotely as there was no internet connection in our resort. Mr. Bhim Singh was kind to let us work from the cafe for the whole day. Of course, the coffee and the food was great.
Wonderful staff especially Pinky singh who was really polite and considerate at every point to make sure i get the best experience. Food is also amazing here
Raintree was a nice pleasant visit during the night. We came for some coffee and it was a great choice. Having a view of Madikeri as you enjoy a hot beverage when it's dark was a lovely experience.
My friend recommended this restaurant / Cafe long back.today I got a chance to visit this place for a coffee, the whole ambience of the restaurant is really beautiful and the staffs / services are brilliant too
The coffee was really awesome, this time I'm not able to experience any food but want to visit again without missing.
If anyone going to madikeri.then dont miss this place
The ambience of this place is very nice. This is kind of a restaurant more than a Cafe. It's located near main market. The place has very less option for coffee with milk while they have a variety for black coffee. Also limited option for snacks. Taste is nice undoubtedly. There are mosquitoes which is really irritating. Car Parking area is limited, only 4-5parks can be parked at a time inside the place.
We had manglore style ghee roast mutton, akki roti and appam. The food was very tasty and more than that the people working at the cafe were really warm and welcoming. We had their filter coffee and absolutely loved it. Will go back to this place again for the ambience, friendly environment and food and of course coffee!
It's gives you heritage feel from outside. But doesn't have much to offer once you are in. Don't have much milk coffee options. They might have black coffee though. We tried chicken hakka noodles & garlic chicken dry, both were good in taste. However coffee was okay as my expectations were high. You will find lots of misquotes inside the cafe which is a bit irritating
They have very limited options for coffee with Milk. Most of the options in the menu are Black Coffee. Also they don't have side dishes which goes with coffee. I ordered myself Turkish coffee.
Good Food and nice hospitality. Try their coffee. It's the best. They server wide range of varieties in food. They have cousines from various regions of India so tourists can enjoy their food at the best.
This restaurant has a beautiful, old world charm to it. It looks like it was an old bungalow which has been renovated. The food was OK. The service was fast. The staff were polite.
It's a very average restuarant serving very common dishes which are average in taste. I was more disappointed as I expected a different place when I read the reviews of this restaurant to what actually saw when I visited the place. The restuarant does not serve pizza/sandwich etc any more. The only Coorg cousine available here is the Bella Kappi. There was a tandoor menu displayed on each table, but nothing was available at 8pm. We ordered coffee, fish finger, chilli fish and mixed noodles. The coffee was good. And apart from the noodles, rest of the items were decent. The service was swift and the staff were well behaved.
. There are pastry and rice non veg every thing. Nice dining area. While eating you can see the beauty of the nature and the fresh brezz i have seen many resorts like taj etc. But this one is the best.
It's a pretty cool and laid back place, really good cofee, they have both outdoor and indoor seating and a cofee bean shop they have more than the usual collection which was pretty good, has good parking space and the food is good too, it's also really close to the main road too
The staff were indifferent. The bill was given on a piece of paper. No tax invoice, not even a printed one. They don't accept cards. Too many mosquitoes. I would not visit the place again
Visited coorg after 3-4 years of gap for a fourth time. Due to the current situations made it was difficult to explore authentic coorg dishes.
Found Beans n Brews cafe behind madikeri town hall, specialised for their non vegetarian and vegeterian dishes and coffee varieties.
The pros were the service was friendly and quick when it comes to beverages or the starters. The sweet and salt lime juice was perfect especially after a tiring day and then the starter baby corn chilly and fried rice was served hot and had decent quantity.
Coming the fried rice even after mentioning to make it more spicier, felt it could have been made little hit spicier. My hopes were high on hot chocolate. The hot chocolate could have been a bit denser to make it a perfect ending for a meal course. Over all it was better try for a lunch timings at beans n brews.
This cafe has been closed since a year ago, we included this cafe in our plan looking at the review but sadly reviews are 1 year old. Someone is residing at this place. Kindly check some other cafe, if you are a coffee lover.
Decent coffee options and styles available. Indian kopi luwak "civet" and Monsoon Malabar were very good. Disapointingly, nothing on the extensive tea menu available except poor attempt at masala chai. Also none of the menu food available on a Saturday afternoon. Not so good for my friend who doesn't like coffee. Otherwise good service and okay setting.
A tiny li'l cafe - they've got Amazing coffee, and great service. The barista actually knew his shi*. I tried the Cevit coffee and it was simply divine. Would definitely recommend this place to a coffee enthusiast if you're around Madikeri. You can also buy lots of different varieties of coffee beans/coffee powder here.
All time favourite place to grab some best coffees around. Tried Arabic Kahwa and Bella Kaapi which tastes best with great aroma. Must Visit place when you are at Madikeri.
Coffee (5/5) : we ordered the traditional coffee of coorg, the Bella coffee and the regular south filter coffee. The Bella was rich and strong sweetened witj jaggery; my first try with a brewed black. The experience was good; the coffee was just strong enough for a kick.
Ambiance (4/5) : relaxed cafe ambiance; high bar chairs, chic decor and an open kitchen to see your coffee being prepared.
It is a nice cosy place with friendly staff. They have quite an expansive list of beverage options especially in coffee. In tea, all are of dip types. One can have a small bite as well in the form of sandwiches and pizzas. I have heard that pizza here tastes good (though it is of medium size). We had ordered for meter kaapi and bella kaapi and they tasted wonderful. They bring coffee from their own estate called Mercara coffee plantation, which is about 8kms from Madikeri Asor seating, it has place for small groups (about 3-4). The place has an open kitchen and one can see them prepare the coffee. It is also an retail outlet and one can buy spices or packed coffee. They accept cash and credit cards but they do not have accept eWallet. Overall, it is a nice cosy place to spend time with friends with a nice coffee.
