I just ordered Chicken kabab roll and chicken, cheese & egg roll through swiggy from here. It was not good. They made the roll using chapathi. I really did feel like why did they gave that option in the menu if they didn't know how to make it. We had to spend a good amount and what we got was not at good. Please focus on the food quality.

Bekal. Good restaurant, Ambience is good too. Certain items take some time to be prepared but Service is good and quick. Food is tasty. Wide variety of Kerala Cusine dishes. Worth visiting for Kerala style meals and other Kerala food.

A good restaurant serving Kerala dishes. Located in a calm area. Charges are moderate. Apart from Kerala meals, they provide appam & curry, puttu etc which are more keralite than the meal on banana leaves.

Had a bad experience. They have a very poor customer service. Not at all happy. It would be good if the restaurant management try to communicate with their customers with some manners and respect.

I tried Neer dosa & Mutton curry and it was a waste of taking it the only I got is mutton fat with 3 waste pieces and after all those i chose Kerala style chicken biryani it seems but after having this biryani I felt I should not go for Kerala style hotel or restaurant once again in my life biryani was filled with curry chicken pieces with no taste at all i recommend not to go for this Bekal restaurant. Waste of money

Ordered Porotta, Appam, Kadala Curry, Beef Roast and Tea. Everything below average except beef roast. I had stomach ache due to the excess chilly in kadala curry. Looks like gravy means chilly water for them. Service was good, tea was also Nice

Food was pathetic we got rotten side dishes with kanji. Avial was smelling bad, ordering from here is waste of money and time. This is the second time we faced issue from here.

Good Place to have Kerala style foods in Indiranagar. The taste is also very delicious. Family friendly atmosphere. Hospitality is also very good.

Had a wonderful dining experience. Food was delicious. The best Kerala cuisine I had in Bangalore so far. Try the seer fish biriyani and duck mappas with appam if you get the chance.

The food was soo delicious and we could get the full feel of Kerala food. My kid enjoyed the lunch. The atmosphere is soo nice. Enjoyed the food in bekal.would like to visit again. Moreover the staffs are very polite and overall soo good.

Food quality has decreased considerably
Ordered ayala fry today and was not fresh and was tasting bad, then prawns was also felt right out of freezer. Overpriced food is okay if it is having taste and quality. But I would recommend everyone not to have Mrs from here. I don't know why they charge 120 rs for veg meals with basically no malayali taste or touch. Very disappointed as someone who has enjoyed the food here before. I think management has changed.

It's a good experience overall. The dish was average and staff was helpful. I don't have anything to complain about but felt that taste of veg stew could be better.

If you haven't dined out at this place, you better have to. We went there as a family on Saturday afternoon. Ambience is pleasant and inviting. Place was clean and hygienic.
For starters, we had ordered prawn ghee roast, chicken keema fry and karimeen fry.
We ordered fish meals, chicken meals and prawn biryani for main course.
All the dishes tasted so yum and were served with enough quantity. Prices were reasonable. Meals were unlimited and they do multiple servings of sambar, mooru kolambu, rasam and fish gravy.
Definitely visiting it next time to try their dinner menu and breakfast menu.

Suggest you to try their elaneer pudding which was really awesome.

Visited Bekal yesterday with my wife for breakfast, and we just fell in love with the food. Authentic Kerala cuisine, will remind you of home cooked food. Mr. Murali the head chef cooks the delicacies in the exact way needed for a satisfying experience. Must try items - Paal Appam, chicken roast, egg roast, Ada, Pazhyam Pori, Palada Payasam (only available on some days, we were lucky). Our Saturday breakfast is sorted going ahead. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

A cozy place where you can find traditional kerala style cuisine. In general found the food to be tasty and of good quality, but felt that salt level was a bit lower than normal. Hopefully this will be rectified in the future.

Chicken Biryani had fried chicken which is rarely seen in Bangalore restaurants. Kerala Porotta was nice.

Also Nannari Sarbath available.

Washroom available. And car parking can be managed in the side roads.

Awesome food.very friendly and helpful staff and great service.their appams are the best I ever had.duck roast was amazing as was the karimeen polichattu.except for the pork vindaloo which was tasty but did not feel authentic.

Discovered this place when we were exploring new breakfast places around indiranagar. We had omlettes, kadala curry with thatte dosa and neer dosa. Yummy! Good quantity, affordably priced, and very homely & welcoming. Will definitely visit again.

We went for dinner and food was decent. But it was very unpleasant to watch the owner or the manager treating the delivery guys very poorly. He seems to looks down upon them all the time. It was raining heavily and he was forcing them to take the food and move out immediately. It felt so inhumane. I strongly recommend you to never visit this place which treats someone in that manner.

Very much over priced for Kerala Cuisine.

Took almost 40mts to get our food and staffs behaviour was really bad.

Drinking Water took 10mnts to deliver and chai took 30mnts+.

Pathetic experience and surprisingly the Kerala meals gets exhausted by 2 o clock. Further unfortunately since we decided to stick to the restaurant for a different dish, they served us with the worst possible dish and also probably with used a really unfresh and old veggies to make a dish.

As an honest feedback it's a must NO for a restaurant with poor management.

My wife and I had a fantastic time here. The place has a very welcoming cozy look to it and its ideal for couples and families. Lovely ambience and AMAZING Food!

We loved every bite we took. The chefs were kind enough to agree to cook kerala tea time snacks even though it was dinner time. And everything we ordered tasted just great! The chicken Biriyani is my fav and they give in good quantity as well.

One of the best Kerala restaurants in Bangalore with authentic malayalee food. Simple and elegant food with good ambience. Special mention about the manager and chef, Murali Krishna. His friendly and courteous nature will definitely make people like us to visit again.

I just had the worst experience of ordering food from this restaurant. I had ordered Steamed Ada from here through Swiggy and half way through eating I notice a dead cockroach in it. You can imagine the disgust I had especially after chewing through most of it. I have raised a complaint against this restaurant through Swiggy but felt the need to hold the restaurant owners accountable for the lack of attention they put in serving their customers, on a larger platform.

Ordered Onam Sadhya today for take away. 410 Rs is Okay, but didn't expect 100 Rs for parcel to make 510 Rs for 1 pax.
They should have informed while enquired /ordered via phone. Unexpected

Bought Onam sadhya today for almost 1000 rupees. The quantity was very insufficient. They said that it would be great for 4 people but it's not sufficient even for two. Just got a large quantity of rice, other items are in such tiny boxes. Horrible experience.

The rice for the Biryani is such low quality. Chicken is older one.
Better choose Meghana’s Biryani or Nandhana. Brands Biryani work for customer’s satisfaction not on Money.

One of the best places for Mangalorean food. This is the first place I explored in Bengaluru to have the Mangolorean food. Amazing selection of menu for Kerala dishes also. Loved the ambience along with the kind of dishes served. Best place for family outings for dinner and lunch. The name Bekal made me to have a feeling of “Be Cool”. Must try for everyone who visits Bengaluru and have love for Sea food.

Such a lovely ambience and they serve great Kerala cuisine. People are so gentle and friendly around there and they made sure my plate is well eaten.

Don't eat from hear.i ordered from this hotel thalassery chicken biriyani in which i got blood at center of the chicken piece not all cooked properly and added lots masalas than rice so undakan arile nirthit ponam maire.

Pretty good ambience and the staffs were really coperative. There was a 20 minutes delay for getting the food after ordering. Ordered fisherman's meals, ghee rice and beef dry fry. The meals was awsome and especially the side dishes were too good. The fish curry could have been better. The beef dry fry was bit over spicy and o felt like for that price range the quantity was not enough. A bit expensive compared to the other restaurents but in terms of some dishes, it is worth the price.

Never expected such a pathetic Kerala Paratha from the Kerala Restaurant! Gravy tasted so blunt and waterish! First impression was a worst one for sure. Will never visit them again!

The two star is for these two reasons:
1. Biriyani rice tasted decent.
2. Ambience was ok in the lane (I picked up the items in person, so got to experience)

Sincere advice for the restaurant to improve the quality of the food to meet your menu price, at least.

You get good crab masala roast in kerala style. Appam stew is also available. How ever not all dishes are up to mark. Its not a costly place. Eg for 3 ppl it came around Rs1000/-

Sad to see the quantity that is being delivered for ghee panner roast and prawn roast. Hardly 3 spoon fulls. Bekal and swiggy wake up.

Earlier it was good.yesterday we had kappa biriyani, idiyappam, veg stew.all items were old.they didnt charged for veg-stew.no point of complaining about other items.bekal, we are ready to pay any amount but dont give old food.very dissapointed

I have been visiting this place for almost 4 years and their Erachi roast and porotta was my favourite. But I also tried their appam mutton roast etc and that was also good. The taste was unique and i have not seen anyone else had that recipe in Bangalore.

But last couple of months, i noticed the quality is not good and even their special recipes does taste good as well. I complained multiple times to them but there is no improvement. Seems like their chef has changed. Even porotta does not taste like porotta. Malayalis rate a restaurant with the taste of a porotta. I decided not to go there anymore as there are other players now like salt mango tree serving very tasty kerala food.

If they improve, it will be good for them. Now they don't know how to even make a good lemon tea. You need to understand that I am comparing with their own food I ate before and not with any other restaurant. Sorry to give you very low rating but you deserve only this now as you deteriorated quality that much.

Hopefully the owner who is sitting and watching TV there could crosscheck what is happening inside kitchen.

Hello friends and bekal employee's today I purchased masala seer fish. It's not about food quality and taste I will tell later first thing is that this is my first order and last also I order fish before I mentioned they told me it's price is 280rs I paid also.when received my order it's to much less quantity. I questioned to person they told this is costly fish I said ok than I ask bill they given me 205 rs bill + other charges. I questioned again what was the others charges are they again not given proper answer. I have all prove also in image. I will post aslo. This restaurant are cheating clearly. Please money is important save it or donate it to poor person. Not this type of cheater restaurant and one thing more taste was really bad it's like one week before cooked fish given to me.it's really not good for health ️. Check my image with date and also see quantity.
And one more thing I post this review everywhere because of this restaurant doesn't cheat any others people. Cheater Cheater Cheater.

Good experience, all in all. We had meals by 3 pm, the food was cold, which was a little disappointing given the semi-premium kinda place that this is.

An interesting place to grab Kerala food as it’s not the typical mess setup l and yet not fine dine. So it’s the perfect balance between closer to home food in a clean and neat atmosphere.

I was surprised at how nice this place is inside. Extremely well lit and clean. The choice of artwork on the walls is nice as is the selection of lighting which is both beautiful and functional. There are seating options for as low as 4 and as many as 14 from what I could count.

Firstly the food was prepared and brought out extremely quickly which made it great. Freshly prepared as you could taste that in the food. I had the Chicken biriyani and the meant polichadhu (meat cooked in a banana leaf). Both were very good and I would recommend to anyone considering them. The meat was cooked beautifully and the spices were just right to provide a nice spicy kick and yet not burn your tongue. The biriyani was a typical Kerala biriyani. It was a tad on the oily side towards the bottom of the bowl. So you can always leave that section of the bowl when eating it.

All in all I had a great experience here with the responsiveness of the staff (I would like to give a special mention to Rajesh - who ensured my food was delivered quickly). Good food and a clean ambience. Not more to ask for.

Thali with rice, sambar, thoran, chamandi, papadam, amazing, sardine fish fry tasty, value for money and payasam unique red Mathan with jaggery, can recommend to friends, will visit again for biriyani soon, manager Muralikrishna friendly and polite, worth a visit.

From outside we can't expect and hotel like inside. The internal view of this restaurant is very good and spacious. Good is Kazarkode Kerala. Food is not that great, but not bad. Very good staff. One sad thing they will not accept any mealcard. In that area competing with other Kerala style restaurants it's very difficult
