She was a good listener at times and I felt good after talking to her in some of the sessions in the beginning.

She was considerate about extending the time limit after each session to maintain continuity and allow me to complete in a flow.

She listened patiently at times, although at times she would provide some conclusions and advice where it was not necessary and which I didn't agree with.

Although these things matter they don't necessarily mean a great outcome and it's important to consider other things as well for your well being, which I learnt later on in hindsight.

Some parts of her approach, seems like she has picked up and retained an outdated and irrational view which has already been dismissed by most modern psychologists.

For example, she said to me in a session, "the mind plays tricks on you". Although she said this to be helpful, it is nonetheless irrational and counter-intuitive.

Does the Unconscious Really Exist?

By David B. Feldman Ph. D.

With the growing acceptance of psychology and talk about mental health these days, it is important to remember that psychology is not an exact science. There are plenty of variables (for example, approach and competence of one psychologist may vary from another) and subjectivity here. Not to mention, misconceptions (for example, hypnosis).

The Truth About Hypnosis

By Clifford N. Lazarus Ph. D.

She even had a book by sadhguru called inner engineering in her library (I found that person to be someone who spews pseudoscience with deceptively captivating confidence and a rational person should be able to dismiss him). I'm not sure how much of his pseudoscience crept into her views and approach. The more the worse.

If possible, be clear and upfront with what you want from the session. For example, if you just want to speak casually about the problems in your life without looking for advice, then you can just say that. So that they don't apply a generalised, one size fits all approach which won't really make sense.

Also remember, 'the psychologist' is a human being as well and it's possible for them to be irrational at times. The psychologist doesn't have to be right all the time. And you don't even have to be in agreement with the psychologist all the time.

Hence, it would be prudent to always think rationally and independently and dismiss what is irrational and not useful.

She had a particular approach which is fine but ended up being too rigid which made me feel invalidated and it was not what I needed, would not recommend for trauma. Find a trauma - informed therapist.

Last year at this time, I was shattered, contemplating suicide and many more. Simple Google search saved me out of this. When I first met Sneha, I had no hopes of recovering from what I was going through, but then she was this Saviour!
Remarkable thing about Sneha is she actually listens and remembers the tiniest of tiny details. Her words motivat you and makes you rethink about your own self. She analyzes your problem, finds out to the core and gets to the bottom of it eventually.
She actually cares for the person and sometimes goes out of her way to make sure they are okay.
I was a mess before meeting her, with therapy sessions happening every week and she giving me multiple possibilities and solutions to my problems, I transformed myself into a different person who's more self confident and enthusiastic about my life.
My overall personality has improved quite significantly. She taught me the real value of Self love over anything and everything. She believed in me more than anyone, when myself had lost hope.
Thank you Sneha for everything and Thanks for being there.
I'm deeply indebted to you Sneha.

I met Dr. Sneha thrice at that time of my life, when I had reached a state of mind which I never ever expected I would be in. I feel much better about myself and sorted out. She will really listen to you when others just hear you
