Rooms have to be maintained better -
1. The grouting is chipped off and the tiles are damp.
2. Beds are over used and not comfortable to sleep.
3. There were no cloth hangers in the bathroom.

This nature camp is under reserve forest. So you won't have much freedom. You can't put fire camp, no loud music and they won't let you to get down in lake which they have in the property. Mainly you won't be getting any mobile network. There is only BSNL network available not at the premises but you need to walk for 1 km to get a network. There is no fun activity available if you are planning to visit with family.it's just have rooms in the middle of thick reserve forest and that's all it can offer to u. If you want to just stay away from reality without any network and distraction and fun activities this is the place. Coming to food and staff, this is the only best part of the place. Very very supportive staffs and good tasty and basic food. Nothing fancy. Now fun activities you can go nature walk approximately 4 kms from the place (both up and down) and there is small trekking available and on demand you can go for a safari (extra charge, around 5000/vehicle) it's very very rare to spot any wildlife but this region of forest is famous for its landscape. You will get a memsarizing landscape. I would rate this place consider all the facts 3 out 5. Good to visit once for a day you will be bored after a day here for sure.

If anyone wants to be cut off from the busy life for few days or weeks, this is a place surrounded by hills and jungle. The best part is only phone network is a struggle. Cottage Rooms are good. Service is okay could be improved. Morning trail walk, Safari or just simple walk around the resort itself is amazing.

Fabulous 4 nights stay at Bhagavathi Nature Camp.
Heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Mallikarjuna, Mr. Shanmuga, Mr. Chandrashekhar, Mr. Venkatesh and Mr. Rajith for their care and hospitality who ensured we had a great experience.
1. Well-timed, delicious, steaming hot food and impeccable service was available during our entire stay. Ample varieties of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Early morning coffee/ tea and evening snacks like onion pakodas, mirchi / aloo bhajjis, churmuri, soups all were excellent.
2. Clean and spacious rooms with attached bathroom, mosquito mesh to all the windows, geysers, emergency light, fans and RO water for drinking were available.
3. Nature walk, bird watching, star gazing, watching wildlife movies, Watch Tower, Jeep Safari to Kudremukh peak (second highest in Karnataka), trekking, nearby waterfalls (Gangamoola, Kadambi, Hanuman Gundi) all are available.
4. Day-trips to Kalasa, Horanadu and Dharmasthala can be planned if interested.
5. Peacocks, Deers, Mountain Squirrels were freely roaming in the property.
6. This is a camp and not a resort in a Protected Reserve Forest with a river flowing through the property. So, please be mindful of your stay which is to be enjoyed in the lap of nature without being connected online or to your mobile phone since there is no mobile network once you enter the checkpost at Kudremukh National Park.
7. Plastic, Alcohol, Smoking and loud noise free-zone to co-exist with wildlife and to avoid forest fires since most of the surroundings are dense grasslands.

Nice rooms, decent service and ample activities to do. The perfect place to get any nature lover, whatever the age. Food could have been better to go with the ambience, but its more of a suggestion, not a complaint. Highly recommended during weekdays as during the weekends the place gets pretty crowded.

Bhagavathi nature camp is situated in the forest and has tent and log wood cabins. And a beautiful stream of water is accessible through the property. Food is very homely and fresh. Staff are courteous. They organise nature walk, treks and safari. Wildlife is not much so Safari is to see the landscape. One star less as the rooms maintainance is bad. House keeping training needed for the staff.

Away from world. Away from social life. The place has no network which can bring you peace

As raw as it gets amidst nature.
No signal (mobile) for several kms, just family and talks.
Winter is an ideal time to visit.

Avoid if not going for trekking.
Not at par with other JLR properties.after visiting multiple other JLR (Galibore, Bheemeshwari, dodamakli, River tern, kabini, Sharavati, kali, Bannerghatta) this resort is way below JLR standard.
The only good part is the location which is calm and serene and acts as a rest stop for trekkers. The hill view is only from the watch tower and within the resort you get the feel of Jungle.
Food is below average in terms of taste and variety. They give only 1 chicken curry for dinner. Lunch is egg. In case case roti/ chapati is over they don't bother to replenish it but expect you to adjust with the rice or other items remaining. Overall the food lacks flavor, quantity, variety and taste.

Service is a joke here, no one is bothered to give information about the resort, help with bags or anything that's needed in the room.
We did try to highlight it to the manager who was not to be anywhere found. We did spot him on and off till around 4pm after which he seemed to have driven away and did not come back till next morning.
Overall choose this place if you are aiming for trekking if not avoid

Beautiful place to stay in nature. Enjoyed a lot. Our Guide Srinivas was so active and was well trained. Kept on explaining us about birds and animals behaviour. All staffs are very humble. Definitely recommend. Only thing is there is no network in this place.

Really great place to stay, PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL NOT BE ANY CELL COVERAGE, so prepare accordingly. The staff there were really nice, excellent food and a lot of fun activities. Only problem was the lighting in the washrooms which was not very good, however they do their best to keep it clean.

Excellent place, just awesome ambience, treat for your eyes, safari and trekking a must. The narrow stream of Bhadra adds to the scenic beauty. Don't forget to carry a wide angle lens for the undulating scape and a zoom/ prime for the butterflies.
Rooms, food are all excellent

This place is situated on the western ghats of Karnataka near kurinjala peak. Amidst the bhadra reserved forest. Place is mesmerizing

It is literally a camp amongst beautiful pristine Western Ghats. No Cellphone network, No electricity (there is Solar lamps just so that you don't feel like you are in stone age). Decent food, cold spring water flows behind the camp. If lucky you might see Bison / peacock / other wild animals around the camp at early morning hours. There is boiler felicity for hot water in every accommodation. Easily accessible place but booking in advance is must. This is plastic free zone.recently was my 4th visit in 7 yrs. The quality accommodations have improved drastically. Rest of the beauty hasn't changed much. It is intact for good. I can say the green density around has increased and there is frequent sighting of wildlife.

If you are looking to fall off the grid for a few days, this place is for you. Surrounded by the Kudremukha peaks, this place will engulf you with natural beauty, leaving you spell bound for days, after your visit.
The Badra river flows through the camp. The birth place of the river, gangamoola is a few miles away from here. So this camp is the first point of contact for the humans. Hence, the water is pristine, non- polluted and cold. Even in summers, the temperatures drastically drop around this place after sunset.
The camp arranges for a safari at an additional cost, which is totally worth it. The shola grasslands, the Kudremukha peaks (2nd highest in Karnataka) and the beautiful sunset are the highlights of the safari. If your lucky you might spot some wildlife.

The rooms are clean and spacious.

The food is just manageable. Can’t blame them though. All supplies come from the near by town which is 11-12 kms away. In case you want something specific, you should carry it with you. The team will cook it for you. Or you should let them know well in advance, they will arrange it for you.
Nature is your only muse. So go prepared for a total gadget detox.

Tip: Please carry light woollens, torch, repellent, shoes.

The place is amazing. Best visited during monsoon and winters. A trek to Kuringil Peak and kudremukha is refreshing and wonderful. The experience cannot be explained in words Behind the stay is a natural water river passing by Peacocks are sighted almost everyday in the mornings

Midst of the nature, with absolutely no connectivity, just Greenery all around. For pure nature lovers with not much off activity.

Clean and well maintained rooms. A place amidst nature, river besides and full of greenary around. We stayed in wooden cottages, food was good, their itinerary included nature walk, wild life movie and safari. Safari was at extra cost but worth it. We could spot deers, peacocks, butterflies and a bison too inside the nature camp premises itself. Overall a wonderful stay. Thanks to all the staff there who were friendly and helpful.

Staying there for almost a week was a satisfying experience, the surrounding was comfortable with a welcoming staff. The food was amazing and hygienic. Would love to go there again!

One of the lesser known JLRs in Karnataka. If you are looking for a quite place to relax and be away from Civilization and Mobile connection, this is the place. It's located inside the Kudremukha National park, which is one of the most scenic ranges of the Western Ghats. The rooms are very nice and clean, the food is good considering the remote location, and staff very helpful. Unlike other JLRs if you want to go inside the NP, then additional charges are applicable, but the scenery is worth it.

We had the best time at the Bhagavathi nature camp. Hospitality was the best at the resort and it was well maintained. We throughly enjoyed the food and Jeep Safari.

Location was amazing. We travelled during monsoons and it was raining continuosly which added to the beauty of the place. Beware of leeches if you happen to take a stroll around the stay. The place has no wifi or network. You need to travel about 500m to 1km for network availability. Must visit place if you are a nature lover.

Good and enjoyed. Good veg food for lunch and dinner. They also offer one non veg item. Hv representative for walking both morning and evening. Early morning birds calling is really nice. U can hear whistling sound from birds. During night some time current goes off. Only during generator run u get hot water. In the morning. Better hv ur both before 800am. Other wise it is difficult to get. Due to heavy rains u can come across latch kissing while walking/ taking river bath. Better carry normal table salt to spray on them to overcome this issue. Coffee u hv to go to the canteen both morning & evening. Most of the staffs r friendly. Evening the provide coffee with bajji/bonda at 630pm. Dinner they serve at, 830. Suggest to supply tea at 500 and dinner at 800pm specially for sr citizens.near to forest check post u get hot Vada, bajji. It is very tasty. Do not forget to taste.

Facility is ok…plus point is no mobile/internet facility. This makes group / family stay together and enjoy.

Beautiful place to stay in the lap of nature far away from the crowd of our day to day life. Camp is located in between the kudremukh national park besides the bhadra river. Perfect place for a break from daily busy life where you can enjoy the natural beauty.nice cottages and their service was truly good also food was superb with homely taste.jungle safari was good in which you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes. There was no network in the jungle so one can truly refresh their mind with the nature.

Everything is just awesome at Bhagavati nature camp. Nowhere hygiene is compromised.food was fresh and tasty. Best place to visit to relax as well as to explore.

Visited the Bhagavathi Jungle Resort for 2 nights last week, Very disappointed on the food Quality, Taste and Hygiene. We dint expect large variety but a good quality tasty food. First time bhagavathi served us such a low quality food that my stomach got upset. Coffee was full watery after telling them multiple time i keep getting same watery coffee.
Now they have restricted visitor from playing in river, there is nothing much to do. Only good thing is mesmerizing location, silent environment.

We stayed 3 days in this camp. 23-26th Jan 2021. Very well maintained camp. Thanks to Devraj & team. All are very good & well behaved.
Need to mention Naveen, who is very active & we never seen him he is tired in work:).
Trekking & safari r very good.

In the middle of nature.
The camp is in the middle of Kudremukh national park spread in Chikkamagalur, Udupi and DK districts. The camp is situated very near to the birthplace of Tunga, Bhadra and Netravathi rivers; also, Bhadra river flows next to the camp. The water is so pure that the stones underneath are clearly visible.
The experience of the stay was pleasant. The staff are very friendly.

It was stress buster vacation & JLR Bhagavathi team and the camp delivered it Well maintained wooden cottages, Hygiene, exclusive river bank to spent unlimited hours without any restrictions, Good experienced and knowledgeale safari guide cum driver, Nature walk by Mr Naveen was so interactive and got me thrilled. Good quality food came has cherry on the cake. Well done Bhagavathi team and it would be a pleasure to share the word of mouth reference which I have already done!

A very beautiful property of JLR in the midst of pristine forests of western ghat and close to kudremukha. Excellent location. It happens to be the base camp for kurinjal peak. Very friendly staff, excellent food. Ideal location for nature lovers and for bird watching. We were told there is a lot of wild life even though we could not spot many but a lot of rare birds. Ideal week end destination coupled with a trek

The best place in and around bangalore for week ends

Need lot of improvement in everything, The location is quite awesome but the condition of dormitory was in a horrible condition.
Even food was not upto mark.
The trek lead provided charged some 75 rupees per person for 20people group and didn't even bother to stop and kept on going forwardwithout taking the group.

It's a wonderful place to enjoy few days. It's in the middle of reserve forest and no network is available. To get bsnl network need to walk almost a km.staffs are friendly and rooms are well maintained and clean. Food is good. Its near to bank of lake so you can find few animals. Peacock can be seen easily in camp itself. They organize safari and trek which is charged separately.

Had a pleasant stay in midst of jungle. This camp is in middle of forest surrounded by dense trees, river with Crystal clear water and away from all human population. Great place to stay if you want to go for trek or stargazing or relax. Food was great and staff were friendly. Btw, There is no data or mobile network in the camp.

Had a fun stay here. Went for morning Nature walk, Trek to Kurinjal Peak and Safari. Saw deers, the Kingfisher bird and peahens! It is a beautiful place. You have power and hot water available. The staff is friendly and polite. The food is delicious.

Fantastic location, good food, but mismanagement of paid services. Tents are fairly well appointed.

For family vacation only. A group of friends and bachelors will have hard time due to the restrictions on noise and open space seating.

The dinner gets over very soon even if you are a group of 10 people who are yet to eat. No cellular network except BSNL if you walk around 600m from the resort.

It's government run resort, you can't expect a lot. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The location is very good and jungle resort stays true to the name as you can see some Sambar deer and peacocks around.

This place is a must go. It is right in the middle of Kudremukh National park.

To start the day with, at 7: 30 they take you for a 4km nature walk (there are a lot of leeches around, so avoid wearing shorts and check your shoes frequently.) or a 4x4 jeep safari to a nearby mountain peak from where you can even catch a glimpse of the iron mine that was functional until 2005. Both are equally good and refreshing. If you choose one, the other one can be done in the evening. Breakfast starts at 8: 30. Idli was offered along with vadas. You can also go for a swim in the stream. There is a watch tower behind the eating hall, which Tbh is not well maintained and can be skipped. At 7: 30 there's a Kudremukh documentary which they show on a TV, it as well is very knowledgeable.

The cottages are neat and bathrooms clean. You get a handmade soap, herbal shampoo and moisturiser in the bathroom. Because of poor street lighting outside, they have provided a Philips emergency light which you can use to walk around when it's dark outside.

Oh, and sometimes you get to see snakes.:) but don't be scared, you're most likely not going to get bitten but unfortunately, if the snakes likes you and bites you, they have antidote.

The food is good. It's not spicy. Tea and coffee can be customised with respect to sugar and powder quantity. Don't forget to try the pickle.

The staff is friendly and informative.

Things to note:

1) There is absolutely no network connectivity in and around the camp. You get only bsnl network 500m away. Jio works only on the mountain peak of that safari. Be ready to leave your phones behind because they're nothing but bricks here. So if you do decide to visit this place. Let your friends and family know.

2) Do not, I repeat. Do not go into the jungle wearing shorts and slippers. If you do so, be ready to donate your blood for the welfare of leeches: D

3) There is nothing outside the camp, no shop, nothing. Nearest settlement is 9km away.

All in all, this is an excellent place to visit. You will realise how good life is sitting in the arms of nature, without instagram and your boss.

If you're a nature enthusiast and can compromise on your smartphone, trust me, YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS.

Not a place for party enjoyment. This place just serves as a rest place for the night. If your group is having a nice discussion, even inside the hut, they regularly knock the door to silence us. They say higher forest officials are in beside huts and they expect you to stay silent. Forget roaming around the camp after 8pm.
They have fixed kitchen timings, beyond that they close the kitchen. Basically your stay will be as ordered by them, you got no freedom of vacation.

We were ripped off. I had enquired about the camp from the jungle lodges website which lists the tariff rate. This includes all meals, trekking (which one is not specified) and forest entry charges per person. I would advise the management to publish all other charges on the tariff site (the prices for the treks and safari are currently on a different page ‘itinerary’ for various treks). This would avoid any unpleasant surprises. The employees including the manager (naveen with alcohol breath even in the morning at 6.30) gave us the information that the trek to Kudremukh would cost 500 guide (as per the site) + 350 for entering the forest (this corresponds to 225 per person charges as listed on the itinerary site). This is clearly a way of getting gratuity from each person. I understand that they will benefit from extra cash. But the way of getting it is corrupt.

Second incident: we were charged 3000 rs for the safari (only 3 of us). The receipt says per person rate is 424 + sgst + cgst. We were charged double of what it should have been. (The website lists 1200 per vehicle)

Request to Mr. Vijay Sharma (ifs managing director of jungle lodges) is to publish these prices on the website or keep handouts of the tariff card. All these prices were communicated verbally. Because there is no mobile network or ATMs (we couldn’t prebook online due to technical issues)

We spent an amazing day at the nature camp It was a full day tour with the best experiences, views and very delicious food.
The camp is lovely - we felt so comfortable. A night in nature camp is a night to remember! There is no cell network not available.

Beautiful, calm and serene place inside the forest. There is a small river where u can swim. Lots of other activities too. Worth it if you go as a group

A calm and serene property located between Kalasa and Karkala. Resort provides couple of sight seeing options and trek activities (charges additional). During monsoon, leeches will be there. So, People who are planning to travel wth kids stay cautious. I stayed in the cottage, It was clean and well maintained. Food was decent. This resort has private lake in the backyard and water is crystal clear (checkout the picutres).

It's perfect for weekend getaway! This road is a heaven for bikers and roadtripper during Monsoon!

One of our favorite places, I've been riding driving to kudremukh np for sometime, this Cabo is now owned by jlr and they're more in the process of developing, adding wodden cottages and chalets. Amazing climate here is something to enjoy, a visit to shola forest is a wonderful experience.

It is a real nature camp. No TV, mobile, newspaper and even electricity. It runs on solar. Itz surrounded by forest and Bhadra river. Total digital detox place. The staff esp shanmugan and Kumar are very helpful and good. Food was yummy. We cudnt go for kudremukh trek due to forest fire. Will plan to visit again

Detox camp. Serene nature. A stream right within the camp. Crystal clear water. Wake up for the beautiful whistle of bird. Stillness quietness. Calms anyone down. Great food. Courteous and friendly staff. Peacocks peahens just visit and go. Deers too. Hear the clock tick. A must visit place and extremely reasonable pricing. Place to go! Do a trek and nature walk too. Drink water from stream. Play in the stream. Eat their food. Enjoy the pampering from nature. Just returned from this trip, roads are great. From Bangalore can do it in 7 hours with a short break. BSNL signal alone available at 1/2KM from here. Enjoy being with yourself. Clean rooms too. With loads of place to walk around play. Do the nature walk, do the trek, take the safari. They are all worth it!
