Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary

This is a very horrible experience. The living conditions are very poor. Hot water is not available for bathing. The hot water will only be provided in very limited quantity in a small bucket. The hot water is directly from a dirty stream nearby and is cloudy and muddy. The food provided is of very poor quality, and the food itself is old and rotten. The meat provided by them was not even washed properly. 2 out of 3 members of my own family got viral infection due to the food. Not recommended.

Amazing experience on this route, Although Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary was Closed for public.
This road further connects to Anmod village, Karnataka which is Karnataka-Goa border.

A very good sanctuary in western ghats. Not that crowded hence it is very good for birding. Forest department have maintained this forest very nicely. If you are wildlifer then you mist visit this at least once. It is rich in lesser mammals and birds. During monsoon season this forest looks absolutely beautiful. It is also near to bhagwan mahaveer wls. They have many resorts and home stays near this sanctuary

One of the most amazing places in Western Ghats! The dense forest, the quite ambiance and the biodiversity is just mesmerizing. A must visit place if you are a butterfly lover. The place is open only from 7am to 6pm because of wildlife movement. A great experience visiting here.

Forest officer not allowing visitors to go, asking to contact resort and private hotel person

Oh boy! What a drive it was cutting through the Bhimgad wildlife sanctuary jungles on my drive from Kolhapur to Goa.totally quiet, sometimes to the point of becoming eerie with very minimal traffic (everyone seems so unsure of oneself as to where one is headed:)
Pristine untouched jungles with thick foliage.spotted a few monkeys too but not much else.a large part of the route was a no road section (so bump jerk swerve swivel through what you can make of the narrow pathway.and keep moving! ; i did not dare to stop or even get out of the car during this leg of the drive through what seemed like an unending expanse of forest:)
This route apparently cuts through in to Goa and is open for use only from 6am to 6pm!

We used this route to enter in South Goa. Entry to this road is from 6.00 AM to 6.00 PM. As per forest guidelines. Road is ok.
