Birth & Death Certificate Office

Place is changed to Mayhall and they charge 200/- + extra for quick service

Actually I went there for my mom's death certificate on 14th floor Staffs are rude irregular inappropriate staff who can't see can't work & can't answer the people & rude also government is wasting money on them government should seriously do something.
Bribe is also there without bribe they don't work & get angry also
I think they don't know how to work without money.

It's located in the ground floor, backside southwest of the utility building. The best way to get there by walk from MG road metro/Brigade road side is to enter on the first right of the exit way of utility building. If by vehicle enter through the main way of utility building and you can access it from parking area. There is only one counter for both birth and death certificate registration/updation. Usually it takes approximately 15 days from the day you apply to get the original copies, so you always need to visit twice. Please ensure will they provide 2 original copies at the time of application itself. Once you get the date to collect the originals, I recommend to go after a week from that date to avoid 3rd visit, in case if your copies are not ready. Fees are reasonable, there no other demands and so far very satisfying experience with their process. Keep it up BBMP/PHD.

I applied for name inclusion in birth certificate they collected 50 rs for one copy and told me to come after 15 days
and they tell if i need more copied i should visit there head office in corporation
they have existing database of birth certificate still they dont issue it immediately
they used to getting bribe for agents and so they expect the same from common man

Very bad service. Asked me to come 3 times for different different documents each time.

- This office is closed on second Saturday
- easiest entry is from m.g. Road

From 1: 30 to 2: 30 is lunch break & place is a bit hard to find
