Bison River Resort

Went for water sports to this resort some time back.
They dont guide properly about sports they have after payment.
Safety is not good since the Kali river is one of the most dangareous rivers.
Most importantly observed that resort staff were involved in improper behaviour with ladies tourist during water sports.
Not recommended.

It was very beautiful experience. I really loved the place its amazing. Staff are so polite we ever late to dinner. They were waiting so patiently. Totally its package of enjoyment and making memories

My small suggestion is it would be good to have karoke room.i was thinking of it evening time. It would make more like fully satisfied.

Not good for expensive night stay rather stay in city.it’s good for water activities and sight seeing

We were 4 adults.we reached Bison River Resort by 1: 30 pm. Room service boy Arjun was showing us room.room condition was pathetic! Water leaks from window panels!
They had keep on changing door mates coz of that leakage.
Food was not upto mark.we paid 500 for half cooked chilly chicken.but later on final bill they didn't add!
We booked our stay for 3 nights.that was 7th July 2023 check-in and 10th July 2023 check-out.
On first day of check in, there staff Mohammed he himself asked us to check out because of poor condition of resort.they are least bothered bout customers who are staying in resort.
This place is only for water activities.with no good quality equipment.
On 7th night we took our car and searched for better place.and luckily we found some other property at river side.next day morning immediately we checkout!

Worst experience ever, poor and irresponsible management. Don't waste your time and money

Enjoyed a lott. Managing staff is also good and handle the visitors properly well maintained natural place at the river side.

Too many Bed bugs, Room leakage, dirty water, poor food, No proper customer service, No telephone, No tv, No AC, No activities at ALLLL.list continues! I had heard people sayin it star hotel hahah. Lodges are more superior then this resort. Wanna waste your money, trip, Time etc.please visit this place! R. I. P.

Had a very poor experience, not a single switch was working in my room could not charge my phone, the resort is not clean at all, sub standard food. The manager has a lot of attitude and very poor service was offered. There was not a single activity was delivered which was promised on booking

Nature - It is situated on top of the river bed. There won't be much privacy as the rooms are so clumsy.
Stay - Room is not upto the mark. Room is not clean.
Food - Its ok for the price.

Bison river resort is at a great location, but poor management of the property and rooms are old and not hygiene. Afternoon lunch was good. We had ordered non veg starters and was not good.

Location of this resort is great but the property is not maintained at all. Bathrooms were a blunder.flush did not work properly, shower curtain was fully muddy. AC did not work. Few mosquitoes and the all out did not work. Bedsheets were stinking. Food was just ok. There was cowdung all over the property.
Staff was helpful in general and polite. Price is fair enough. Management can do a much better job regarding house keeping.

This resort has many water sports activities like kayaking, water rafting and river rafting, jakuzzi bath, etc.

Never been there never know what happened just visited for the some water activities for the associated resorts it was funny but tooooo crowded

Poor maintenance of swimming pool and resort rules, regulations.

The restaurant was very dirty and dusty and also food was very bad and expensive. And thr activity s are ok.

Bison River Resort - Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is nestled in the Wild green forests amidst breathtaking Valleys in the South Indian State of Karnataka. The Resort is perched on the banks of the Kali River with the cottages and room overlooking the river ethnically decorated with private sit out ensuite. White River Rafting, Jungle safaris, coracle ride, bird watching, Rappelling, Rock climbing, barbeque dinner are the highlights of the stay.
I found this resort at the right place in case you are interested in River rafting. This is en route to Goa from Bangalore and we stopped here for a day to take rest. I enjoyed the river rafting very much as this resort is next to the river.

This hotel can be enjoyable if you are in group. Their rooms are very basic. Food is ok types. Their water activities like river rafting etc are amazing. However a lot of crowd comes from outside and that is troublesome for those who stay at the hotel. This hotel is not for luxurious stay.

Rafting was good. And so was kayaking. The staff is pretty much friendly. The whole experience depends on the crowd. Huge crowds can delay your activities

Amazing experience at Bison River Resort this November 2018. They have more than 25 cottages with many water and other activities. Generally people visit to enjoy the water activities as it is on the bank of the river. The activity charges are also Ok depending upon the activities you opt starting Rs. 300 to Rs. 600 (Rafting) per person. It was our first time at Bison Resort, though our stay is for one night only but we enjoy to the fullest. The Manager at Resort was very helpful in all aspects. We opted Veg food as per the package offered and it was as per our taste. Do not expect much from the location as it was in the surrounding of nature. Natural Jacuzzi is one of the activities that everybody enjoyed along with Rafting and kayking. River crossing and other activities we're also there but that we planned to cover next time.

Check for river rapids before you set out for rafting, enquire if the dam gates are open. Usually it's open on Sundays.

When the dam gates open the water from the reservoir flows into the Kali river and makes rafting exciting.

Kayaking is great. 250 INR for 30 mins. It's fun. Try kayaking first.

Rafting at 500 INR. Cards not accepted only cash.

Wonderful location and nice resort. When you are looking for adventures. This is nice place to be. Nature walk is good. Water games are awesome. Decent rooms and comfortable to stay. Breakfast and lunch buffets are good. As long as you do not expect too many varieties, like in major cities, food is good. Management is supportive.

Place and the food is so nice. Non of the rope activities are active and public is also allowed for water games. Because of that there is a big Q for every activity. Very expensive for the facilities that they provide. Almost in every room, there is an issue with something or the other.

Very poor staff and management and noisy place. The property and location is beautiful but pathetically maintained. They have made the place very commerical and less of a jungle experience. Food is terrible. Just there are few water sports but even rafting and all is illegal and falsified. The real rafting is 9kms long and conducted by government affiliated people and not these. The worst thing is playing music loudly in night and disturbing the entire jungle peace.

Terrible experience, unkept place, not clean at all, I have posted pics of the room, not a place to relax at all considering the place is open for commercial activity, does get completely packed, fortunately for us we were there just for a day! The breakfast and lunch buffets are average.the rooms are terrible, this was inspite of us talking to staff before we got there

Location is good. There are packages for river rafting, and boating. The resort also provide buffet breakfast and lunch. Veg n non vegetarian both options are available. Rooms are average but compare to price it's worth. Staff is very friendly they r always ready to help it any problem is there. The resort is surrounded by trees which shows the natures beauty also by evening you will see monkey here n there jumping on trees which is nowadays mostly impossible.the waves for rafting are high n cool. Parking is available.
