We visited here on a late night for dinner. We had ordered phulkas and dal makhani. And 1 patiala lassi - this was about a liter of lassi, and it's too huge for a couple.
Dal makhani and phulkas were amazing. Layered with butter.
A MUST TRY for foodies This place has authentic Makke di roti, Sarson da saag, Mattha, Lassi, Paranthe. Masala papad and Lassi is a must try. Good quality food, good service You won’t be disappointed with food, I would not vouch for ambience and atmosphere… but again this place is not for a candle light dinner, just go there for food and eat. Very affordable as well. You might have to hunt for some good parking nearby. If u take a metro, it is walking distance from Nagasandra Metro station.
The paneer Paratha and shahi lassi were so good. The food reminded me of punjab's dabba food. It was extremely good and affordable as well. A Must visit!
Bobby ka Dhaba was a very popular eatery next to Ulsoor Gurudwara long ago. Over a period of time, they moved to different places and is currently in this location next to IKEA.
If you are someone who has good memories of the Ulsoor shop, don't go here. Only the name and owner are the same. Service is pathetic. Food is way too spicy. Pricing is high. Not worth going this far from the city. And if you go to IKEA, better eat the bland food there.
Authentic Punjabi food is available here. Taste is good. Seating is below average. Demands only cash payment (not sure about now). They wont provide you a proper GST bill. Not gonna visit again.
Awesome experience to have authentic punjabi food. The only downside is that you have to wait nearly 45 minutes to an hour. Not to miss paratha and khadi
We had been to Bobby the dhaba, it was very rush and we requested him that we have a bus to go and the owner was very rash and rude and totally answered very irritating way which we felt bad. I always belive in courtesy to customer, we would not have minded if he couldn't deliver the fud to us, it's all about humanity and courtesy.customers are always humble, they go to eat in each restaurant and make the hoteliers rich.so we expect humbleness from such a happening fud outlet
Make sure you get there early. Place is very minimal in terms of seating. Don't bother with Lassi, it is nandini curds mixed in blender. Parathas were ok, service was slow.
We tried plain and paneer paratha with paneer burji and butter milk. The food was served hot. It was heavenly as i visited on a cold day after a long ride. Food is very tasty and loved their hospitality.
Bakwas. Traveled 30 kms one way to hv better food. Nothing is good. Rude and very costly for the quantitythey give. And they serve as if they give it free. Very much disappointed. Only hype
Nice restaurant. Taste is very good. Hotel clean & neat. Staff & management behaviour is good. There is no parking place from management side but, you can park the vehicle near by road.
Not recommended. Taste is below average when compared to the price. Very expensive and owner is very rude. Behaves as if he's serving for free. He should learn to respect his customers. Traveled more than 40Kms to have good food but waste of time and money.
Corona protocol is not there: once serving all the cutlery to any customers all those should be washed but these guys just dry clean the plates of roti serving plates with cloth I felt disgusting and visiting this place. At least have a basic respect of washing all utensils used by a customer and pickles were kept open in open cup and can see house flies roaming around it. Its not only taste but basic hygiene level is an expected thing for any one. I never go back to them.
Very bad and rude staff. They did not give any food. They said no matter what you order we can’t give it now. Too much attitude. They’ll be out of business very soon.
Had heard about the legendary name of this place when I moved to Bangalore in 2012 but could not visit the original place near Ulsoor Gurudwara. But finally got to the place amd surely it didn't disappoint. The food is absolutely awesome and feels exactly like what is made in my hometown. Tasting the paratha made me remember my childhood when we used to go to Chandigarh and stop on the way to have food at dhabas. Surely this place is a on the top of the priority list if someone wants to have Punjabi food. The staff are extremely polite and speak to the people not as customers but as family members. Now I know where exactly to have my food when I am near Nagasandra.
Good thing: Not costly, daal tadka was good, owner work hard to earn money so you feel like eating good food. Did not like: lassi was not good, just curd and sugar mixed not so well. Paratha could have been cooked more.
Awesome place for north Indian food lover especially vegetarian punjabi food. Try Shahi Panner and their famous 3 types of lassi quality such as 750ml, 1lit, and 1.5 liter one.
1. Shahi paneer - colored gravy with no taste, Udupi uphaar taste batter thn this - 0/5.2. Lassi, plain curd with sugar small glass for 90 rupee - 0/5 3. Rice, Poor quality rice - 0/5 4. Daal makhani, was normal - 3/5 5. Roti, was normal - 3/5 6. Aalo Partha was half cooked and floating in oil and in top Butter. - 2/5 7. Piece full dining - not at all owner screaming at your head to give order - -5/5 8. Waiting time 40 min to 1: 30 hrs.
We went there driving all the way from another corner of the city. The owner was so rude and told he won’t take orders for the next one hr as the seating was full. I asked him if he can serve us in the car and he refused very rudely and also told no takeaway. He asked us to wait for an hour if we wanted to eat there and showed no humanity whatsoever to us as would anyone else to their customers. We would have waited if he asked us politely, but his attitude put us off and we left immediately.
Overpriced and less quantity of food.aloo paratha is like aloo mashed with wheat.what worst taste I don't understand. I really hated aloo paratha after eating here.and paneer paratha was so bad that I asked them to pack it up as I couldn't even try another bite.
Lassi is great u get 1.5 litres, 1 litre and half litre glass. But the dining experience is not great. With the amount of travel you need to do to reach the dhaba is not worth. Dhaba is near to nelemangala. The food is also expensive and not worth the quantity.
For whole essence of punjabi brunch with that glass lassi wow just loved the experience and ambience is also quite impressive just give a shot will always remember that parantha loved the dal not gonna forget to mention that overall good experience
No price in menu and no bill don't know how much they charge for the food also they will fix there own price this should be corrected and quantity is also less for what they charge price is high
Food it's very costly and quality is very less manager is very attitude batamizzz person hospitality is not good they will treat like we don't have any other options
Its not Bobby's dhaba it's looting dhaba My suggestion don't visit this dhaba. One of the bakwas food I ever had in my life they really cheat by not mentioning the rates in menu while billing also he will not write the rates just tell the amount based on order.
Just love this place. Amazing food if u are a paratha lover this is the place for u. Just near metro station. There's a long waiting time but it's worth it.
Awesome place to eat yummy parathas. People come from all over Bangalore to have parathas. Very yummy parathas and gravies available here. Rice items and phulkas are also very good here.
Have visited this place more than 10 to 15 times.their authentic Punjabi style paratha and rajma keeps calling me back. Have been a regular to this place right since the days it was near Ulsoor Gurudwara. Their rajma masala is something one should not miss out on!
This is a very small place, kept reasonably tidy. Food quantity is average and quality of excellent. The restaurant however falls short when it comes to flavour. Loyalists sweat by the taste here but that's just the emotion speaking! Honest review!:)
Bobby Dhaba, right behind Nagasandra Metro Station is a no- frills place serving delicious buttery parathas, curries and dal that seem they are right from Punjab and lassi in glasses so huge, that there are enough to fill your tummy. Also, super light on the wallet. Be a little prepared to wait, since it's a tiny place and gets quite crowded.
Food is excellent and delicious. It is genuine Punjabi/Sardarji Dhabha food. The place could be made cleaner and the management must seriously do something to get rid of the flies. The owner should also make it a point to dress up neatly. Also, increase the variety and number of dishes.
If you’re looking for some amazing punjabi food, then Bobby’s dhaba is the one. Be it the parathas, paneer bhurji or rajma-chawal, everything tastes just superb. Try it and you’ll love it!
Food wise it is good, you get hot delicious parathas served. Space wise it has 2 rooms, however they open only one room. However, the problems are it has no rest room facility, no online payment and no parcel option. I hope they pay attention in these matters.
