Disappointed

Merida is a great bike but it was a terrible experience buying this time. I have a older merida MTB which is great and I went with this bike for my dad. I was specific on checking the bike before delivery but it was delivered to me with the suspension unlock not working, i had a terrible time fixing it. The team did not have a clue on how to get it fixed, also i had confirmed and asked for the change in brake configuration which was not done after me reminding repeatedly during purchase. Also the screw hole on the suspension for the mud flap slipped
and i seriously doubt the quality now.
To add to the agony they reduced the price by 5000 only 5 days after my purchase. Overall it's been a horrible experience with bums on the saddle. In this case my bums were on the saddle post.

Bots are even serious with your facilities and Very poor customer service I placed an order on 29th Dec and asked for an update about delivery tracking etc still they have not shipped my item yet even after making payment via UPI
Last time also the order was delivered after 7-8 days the reason was COD

Rizwan was super patient and helped me better under the cycling space. Showed me several options and discussed various facets of cycling as a beginner.

The staff are pathetic, they do not help the customer in any way. They look at you like you should know everything before coming.

Everything is very pricey here and only go if you are looking for a professional side usage

Had tried this site for the first and last time. Worst experience till date. My reasons are listed below:
1) No proper tracking.
2) It Took them 12 days to find a courier partner.
3) No refund due to damaged or incompatible parts is possible. They give you store credit.
4) I had ordered a set, and it was bent; the reply I got was that it is not a manufacturing defect you can bend and fix it.

Great product and less expensive.

Recently purchased Trek fuel ex 5 from them. The after sale support and service was terrible. They destroyed the break pads and rotors by contaminating them with oil. I had the change both of those after 3 month of usage. I had to bleed the front brake. All these things I did from a different place. During my first free servicing the the mechanic (not Ravi, some other guy) was not listening to my problems. This is not what I expect after purchasing a 2.15 lakh rupees bike.

Initially I gave low rating because of delay in delivery. However after that the owner called me asked about my concerns and addressed those promptly.

I had wonderful experience in shop from selecting my new bike to servicing. Had a bad puncture recently (tyre was beyond repair) and the service team was able to replace it in short notice. Highly recommended

I had a really great experience having my Surly Midnight Special built at BOTS. Everyone knows the mechanics are really good (thanks Kaushal, Ravi, Anand) ; they love cycles and really care about their work. But Yash, my bike build consultant, deserves a special mention because he went out of his way to source components that i wanted. And his recommendations were spot on. Thanks BOTS for making my dream come true.

I have known the great folks at BOTS for nearly 15 years now. A very competent set of people who know what customers want. Most importantly, they ask the right questions to ensure every customer gets what they need.i got a set of 26 inch wheels by Alexrims from BOTS. After a long search, only BOTS was able to source these wheels as it was for a 13 year old Trek 4300 (again suggested by them back in 2008). The current MTB wheels are mostly 27.5 and 29 inches which made it hard to get 26's anymore. But they did, they built it up so well and sent them to be in perfect condition. The swap was easy and the bike has a new leash of life again. Thank you!

Excellent service by BumsOnTheSaddle. I was looking for Gels on Saturday for run on Sunday and even though I placed order at 7pm, the shop delivered by 8: 30pm and helped me have a good run.

For my dream of touring on my bike i built a SURLY BRIDGECLUB this was possible only because of the bots team. Specially Sumit, Ravi and Yash were constantly helping me with it. Finally i am happy with the bike and it is just as i want it to be "FANTASTIC".

My 2 bikes were shipped from Banglore to Pune and it was all smooth. If you are in blr and want to ship bikes you know where to go now.

When i was working here it was a great learning experience. Everyday was intresting and challenging at the same time. The best part was that i got to meet some of the well-known people in the industry and also got to be a part of a great community.

Would recomend people in Banglore to visit the shop if you are already into Cycling or you are planning to start now. The website is also updated and have a wide variety of products.

It was a great experience to visit this shop. I've given my cycle for service which was old by 5 years as the gears were not getting shifting properly while riding. They inspected the bike and suggested the required changes for which I agreed. After the service my cycle became completely new with the performance and ride quality. They are the experts in the cycle service. I'm very happy with their service. After getting my cycle back from service. I rode my first 100 KM ride to Airport. The experience was awesome.

Absolutely pathetic quality and even worse after sales support and service. I had ordered a combo of nite rider lights which came to me in a poor condition with physical scratches all over. On escalation to them they refused to give me a replacement for the same.

On the second instance I ordered 2 camelbak bottles one of which is not yet dispatched after 6 days of placing the order (one is recieved). Their whatsapp support is horrible, they never respond inspite of multiple messages. They need to become more professional

A very professional setup, people are highly knowledgeable about the products they offer. I was in constant contact for almost 3-4 weeks before I decided on my purchase, they were very patient in hearing out my requirements and answering my questions and suggesting products that would suit my requirements best.

I bought the Polygon Strattos S3 from BOTS - entry-level road bike with a Shimano Sora groupset and Entity cockpit.

The whole buying experience was very good, with the BOTS staff adopting a consultative approach to help me arrive at my decision on which bike to buy.

Riding the Strattos S3 has been a great experience - the gear shifting is smooth and responsive, the saddle is comfortable, and the ride quality is good.

I want to talk about the great experience I had with this place! Wanting to return to cycling after two decades, I started looking for options only to realise a lot has changed over the years resulting in lot of confusion in my head.

While a lot of people were looking to sell, these guys gave me just what I wanted “guidance”.

Sumit spoke to me during my multiple visits, spent over an hour every single time and understood my lifestyle, needs and what I wish to do with the bike (despite no guarantee of me going ahead with the purchase). That, I think, was the difference!

I am very happy that “I SELECTED” my bike (as opposed to people pushing things on you) and am loving the “Fuji Absolute 1.7”

The only area to further strengthen (based on my experience) is “proactive” communication about the possible change in delivery dates. While the delays are perfectly understandable, letting the buyers know in advance would just make the experience world class.

Note to the prospective buyers - It would be unfair to expect very long personalised attention on weekends as there are lot of people. Please plan your visits well and am sure you will have a wonderful time.

BOTS is the other side of town from me, so while I’ve been an online shopper from their site for a while, I haven’t really had the need to step into the store.

I was in the area and decided I’ll stop by and am I glad I did! While chatting with Sumit, I spotted a Specialized frame set and asked him about it and long story short, I left the store a couple of hours later with a build in the works after long discussions with Sumit and the guys there.

Plenty of advice and no selling. And I can’t tell you how refreshing that was!

Advice from actual cyclists is so much better than the hard sell I’d been through in another famous shop in the vicinity around the corner from them (huge relief).

The passion and knowledge came through very clearly and their love for what they do is really apparent. They managed to source all parts for me over the next couple of days and frankly made choices on the components like it was their own money … finally ended up below initial estimate with a bike I’m really really happy with.

BOTS is great for all your cycling needs. Unlike most other cycling shops, they don't try to push the most expensive item down your throat, but instead try to understand what you need, why you need it, and then recommend something that fits you (and within your budget).

Being passionate about bikes and the fact that the staff is a bunch of cyclists, they not only sell you bikes and accessories, but also give you advice on how to use it best and what kind of riding can be done on each bike.

BOTS is an all-in-one biking store, one of the best bike/cycle store in the country in my view. The staff is very friendly & knowledgeable, the layout is spacious and the experience goes beyond just shopping - with them having regular bike rides & educational sessions. Highly recommended.

I have been a customer with BOTS for the last two years and bought items like Tubes, Bell Helmet, Bike maintenance accessories, Sweat guard, Oakley sunglasses etc.and am extremely satisfied with the items as well as the experience at the store with the cordial staff.

I am however writing this review to highlight the reliable service rendered by BOTS in replacing my Indoor Smart Trainer. The Elite Suito Smart Trainer is a major item that I bought through BOTS in January this year. Being a first time user of a cycle trainer, I was initially quite happy with the eqpt though it had developed abrasion noise affecting the Roller and Cassette function over the next couple of months. Finally, in Jun 2021, I contacted Elite, Italy with recordings of the trainer in use and they had promptly offered to replace the item under warranty through my dealer.

Mr Sumit from BOTS, Bangalore has been especially helpful in following up with Elite and getting my replacement. Notwithstanding the undue delay of 11 weeks in waiting, BOTS has replaced the faulty Trainer with a new model Suito-T (which comes without Cassette) and also installed the used Cassette from the faulty trainer.

A day later, Elite had also compensated for the Cassette (as well as the delay) by sending me a new Cassette. Having received it with one of the three securing pins broken, I am skeptical of its functionality but I am not complaining.

Overall I had an excellent experience as a customer with BOTS Bangalore.

I am struggling for my long rides good hand gloves while I try multiple brands.not given any comfort rather severe pain in the palms. Rupert suggested socialized road bike gloves which really improved my performance for the long rides without any palm suffering

Had a great experience buying my bike here. Tejaswini helped me to choose the right bike within my budget and was very professional in explaining about bike and the accessories.

I gave my mountain bicycle for repair which was languishing in a corner for the last 3 years. Needless to say, it was in a pretty bad shape. Sowmya did a fantastic job of fixing my bicycle and made it feel like a new bike. BOTS is my go to place for all my bicycling needs.

Recently (around 1st week of Aug 2021) I was looking to buy a pair of padded shorts. Rohan and Sumit recommended Castelli Entrata bib shorts. I was hesitant, considering its steep price. Considering that I am going to wear it every time I ride, I thought I should not compromise because even a niggle in the fit or a bit of discomfort with the shorts does have a compounding effect on the ride quality, especially on long rides. The quality of the recommendation is superb. I am enjoying my rides and it is making a difference in my riding experience as well. Sumit also suggested to go for the bib version of the shorts, which I think makes a lot of sense. It just did not occur to me, and it makes a lot of difference every time I use it. The guys working at BOTS know their stuff, period.

They helped me a lot in deciding what bike is suitable for me so a 5 star is a must and it’s recommended to come here once before u buy a bike

Unfortunately not all 1 star reviews are spammy Rohan, Dropped in with my 7 year old (6th July) who was looking for a new bike and the experience he had there was horrible (His words not mine), your Sales in charge seemed more interested in his phone and less concerned in a sale had nothing to say about the bike, the only time he opened his mouth it seemed forced and also made a negative statement regarding my 7 year old in his presence, On the other hand Your service chap was much nicer

Good products and good packaging. Very slow delivery times. Please add an option for customers in bangalore to pick up the ordered product next day at your physical store in Jayangar so that we don’t have to wait for two weeks to receive a small mirror!

I purchase my Merida Crossway 20 as a online purchase. I received the product with semi assembled stage. Initially no clarity on free service for online orders. I was near to Bengaluru city. So, I asked them for free service & they accepted my request asked me bring the cycle with in one month of delivery. I need some fine tunes in setup & this free service will help me to do the same. I will update the review once complete the service.

I bought my first road bike from BOTS. I upgraded from a hybrid bike which was also bought from them. I was sceptical about what geometry or size i should go for. Rupert from BOTS Jayanagar was super helpful in guiding me through the selection process and answering numerous queries i had:). The bike arrived as per the estimated date and it was unboxed in front of me. Special shout out to Soumya to set it up beautifully for me and guiding me through the best practices about maintaining the drivetrain and the hydraulic brakes.
