Burude Falls

Must visit if you are visiting Siddapura. It's around 40km from Jog Falls. While reaching by car may be a tedious task, for bikers, it's an amazing experience.

Hidden gem amidst dense forest, Its located in interior place around 7-8 KMs from Kumta-Siddapura state highway.
There are sign board at each junctions - I have added pics for them too.
map didnt show the full road till falls parking lot (I have updated it latest, not sure its already update or not)
Last 250-300 Mtrs is off roading and need to climb down around 250-300 steps from parking lot.

Other falls like benne hole, onake abbi doesn't have such roading or steps for climbing, but this one and unchalli falls have enough road connectivity which encourages thrilled visitors.

Note:
No rest rooms and any kind of shops bear by. So carry your drinks and food.

Do not litter and lets keep the nature to itself and do not try to challenge as its highly dangerous.

This is one of the beautiful falls in Karnataka no entry fees to this falls and just one thing I want to add there are lot of leaches so be careful

You can only reach the waterfall in summer. If there is rain, the trekking gets dangerous. Beacuse the way towards the waterfall is not easy.
The place is fantastic, completely filled with huge rocks and shallow-deep ponds.
Since it is far from the main road, it is not crowded

It is located interiorly. Had to travel through offbeat roads and had to trek down to the falls. After the initial 50 steps, have to trek through the hill. But worth all the effort as the falls is almost deserted and so beautiful ️

One of the beautiful falls in the middle of Western Ghats and also one of the best place for trucking. The experience which we get there is awesome. It is better to visit with friends.

One of the most Beautiful waterfall in Uttara Kannada Dist, KA, IN, forming falls in 7 stages before joining river Aghanashini. Good, but narrowing towards end road is there, 59 KM from Kumta, 23 KM from Siddapur. Event hough water fall seen all around year, Slippery, almost no path to get down up to water level makes great experience to visitors. Well mannered Life gaurd is also in the water fall area to caution visitors who usually do non-sensical behaviour in fall area. Life jacket is also available who want to get in to water for rent.

One of the best. Off beat place. It gives you refreshing feel. You will be having parking space. After you park you need to climb down to the feet or the falls. Please do not swim there. It's my suggestion. And keep the place clean do not throw bottles or plastic there.

The view of the waterfalls can be reached by walking for 5mins. There is a clear pathway. The path to the base of the waterfalls is restricted since it's dangerous.

Burude falls is worth it place and located between siddapur - kumta road. From the main road there is board of falls which will help you to reach. Tourist department has made very beautiful direction board so you can't disract from path. Beware of falls and never enter in water as so many death also happend when one enters in it. Take view from distance. Vehicle also reaches at destination so you don't need to walk any more

Beautiful and Mesmerising waterfall.must visit in Oct-Nov.
2 wheelers can easily reach the destination but 4 wheelers its difficult bcoz the road is to small and road condition is to steep. At last around 1 km their is off road.
Their are around 260-300 steps to reach the falls.

Burude falls is a must visit falls in monsoon and post monsoon season.
This waterfall forms multiple steps and last two steps is not visible via this route.
Last few kms to this place has narrow roads Recommending to visit in 2 wheelers so that you can ride till the entry point.
No entry tickets at the entrance.
From entry point there are stairs till 3rd viewpoint and entry to bottom of the falls is prohibited in the monsoon.
There are no shops nearby so carry your food and water.
If you are going to visit bottom of the falls, please be careful as it's dangerous and multiple mishaps have been occurred.

This waterfall is also beautiful at the same time also scary. Surprisingly there is not money you have to pay for ticket but one thing you have to do that write name and phone number. Why beacuse upto till now 10 people has died there. But now u can reach only certain view point. That is good thing they did. If u r planing here be prepared with off-roads

Beautiful falls to visit in monsoon season. If you are planning to visit please avoid swimming in falls it could be dangerous.and while visiting any falls of western ghats in monsoon make sure you do some remedy to deal with leech

Visited during October end, but was not allowed all the way down. Had to see through steps. Not sure whether it's open to go all the way to the falls now. View is good even from the steps. Nice place and easy access through Vehicle

Visited in October. The waterfall was flowing almost full. There are stairs to go down to view the falls. Due to heavy rains, the stairs were closed after certain point.

Best falls I have ever visited.
Absolutely loved trekking! Around 250-300 steps to reach the viewpoint and a rough trail to reach till the bottom. Trekking the trail is absolutely worth the view. Breathtakingly beautiful.

Amazing momos. I have tried mix veg barbeque momo and paneer Schezwan momos both were amazing but barbeque momo was the best it was creamy, tangy and had a nice barbeque flavor

It's lovely place to visit inside forest, you get a bit to trek, and beautiful view of the might falls, not to visit the place if you are above 40-45age becoz there is no stairs to go down and the path is steep. But the good place to be in️

A very beautiful waterfall, you need to get down nearly 400 metres to get to the bottom of the falls, for around 300 meters you have stairs to get down and another 100 meters will be without the stairs, there is also a view point in the middle and also some chairs for you to rest. Overall a very beautiful place must visit!

Burude Falls is located in the Western Ghats of India, about 20 kilometres away from the quaint town of Siddapur in the northern part of Karnataka. Tips For Visiting Burude Falls
1. Trekking is not advisable during the monsoons as the steps, and the rocky trail gets slippery.
2. Wear appropriate trekking gear and shoes with a good grip while exploring the falls.
3. Getting into the water is not advisable as the waterfall is quite rough.
4. Carry enough water, snacks, glucose/calcium drink and a first-aid kit for the trip.
5. Make sure to apply some calcium or lime on your legs before beginning the trek as the area is full of leeches.

Best Time To Visit Burude Falls
The best time to visit Burude falls is between November and February as the weather is pleasant and there is less risk of slipping over the rugged cement steps as one explores all the levels of the waterfall.

Falls is good but you have to take a lot of risks. At present you can't go down as they have closed the steps bcz of death of tourist.hence you can't see the falls clearly.
