Butterfly Park

Don't expect millions of monarch butterflies in the habitat like a nature documentary, but there are a few flitting around here and there.

A very long walk, not recommended with either small children or elderly.

There weren't a lot of variety of butterflies to view, can find more types at a local park.

There a big dome where you can see and experience butterflies in their natural habitat. Entry is a ticket along with the main ticket.

This park is beautiful and amazing. I saw different types of butterflies. And the park which is made for it is awesome. There is a small museum next to the park which is connected to it and we can see and get to know the evolution of different kinds of butterflies.

Good number of butterflies inside the park. Its unique. Good one for kids to understand the life of a butterfly

It's more like a normal place, has a lots of information of Butterflies, but not so many varieties to have to watch them live.

It’s good place to spend some time with kids, located in Bannerghartta national park right next to the zoo. I’ve been there so many times so far, my daughter still liked it. There’s a beautiful garden both indoor and outdoor, lots of butterflies too.
It opens 9: 30 am, we reached almost 10, so it wasn’t crowded and we had a good time.

It's like butterflies study house one can read and understand history and complete life cycle of butterflies.

It's a beautiful place for kids, they learn about the life cycle of butterfly it's best for nature lover, also you can visit Bannerghatta safari and zoo

Nice place for kids. There are many different types of butterflies inside the dome. The park official gives a short educative tour, shows the different stages of butterfly from egg to caterpillar, pupa and final stage butterfly. Prefer to visit in the morning when park opens, it is less crowded.

Not many butterflies in the park. Hardly seen 50 of them. Maintenence is poor. Only good part was the display of the stages of development of a butterfly naturally while entering the parks museum. 3 stars only for that.

The guide enthusiastically explained the butterfly life cycle showing the eggs, caterpillar, chrysalis and butterfly. His charm was so good that I held a Mormon caterpillar in my hands! The video show was also nice

Awesome macro photography, disappointing population of butterflies. I must say the dome and the interior plantations are really amazing. However the purpose of fostering a variety populace of butterflies is not served. There are not as many diverse species as one would expect. Certainly cannot be compared to Singapore airport or even Srilankan National parks. I'd expected the garden City National park to foster and thrive multiple species and large number of them. Perhaps I underestimate the biological complexity of it. However, we did see just as many butterflies just outside of the butterfly dome. I think it would be an excellent learning for everyone had there been a thriving balance of bio-diversity in terms of different types, colours, shapes. Nonetheless, it does makes for a awesome spot for macro photography.

Nothing to see some butterflies and plants only. Do not take electric vehicle ride it is not work instead walk it is hardly 5 min walk.

Try visiting during the season. When we visited in September, there were around 10 butterflies.

Wonderful place for watching butterflies and spending some quiet time with flora and fauna. Kids like the play area provided. Toilets facilities are available as well. We see all the stages of butterfly creation. Ample space to sir and relax with friends and family.

It's an Amazing Butterfly park to witness many different species of Butterflies and a Museum of Butterflies too

This is inside the Bannerghatta national park and a separate ticket of Rs. 50 to be purchased to see the place. Peaceful place, you can sit and relax. There are few butterflies inside the enclosed dome.

It's beautiful, might not find a lot of butterflies, but the infrastructure is worth the ticket price.

Disappointing based on the placements for butterflies requirements. Hardly any butterflies can't blame the open doors in the premises.

This was the most disappointing part of Th Bannerghatta visit. There are more butterflies outside the park than inside. We did see the eggs and the museum but it's not as thrilling as we expected it to be. There's no one to guide or explain what's going. It feels like any other park and we hardly saw any species.

Nice place for a nature lover.
Not too many butterflies are there. Not worth for fifty rupees entry charge. Avoid this if not a Nature lover.

I love this place. Butterfly park is a wonderful place. Bannerghatta nature camp is an awesome place to visit. We booked full-day-tour from their website. Everybody's behaviour and attitude is very gentle. Me and My family enjoyed a lot.

Good picnic spot. But always carry cash with u for entry ticket (50₹). Carry an umbrella & water bottle. Best time to visit is afternoon to see butterflies

Nice place to take your kids and show the amazing butterflies.inside Bannerghatta national park only, but you need to walk a little bit from zoo point.
This place is really a nice place for kids. In fact for everyone who likes nature. The place has a nice enclosure for butterflies. The number of butterflies has reduced but still it makes you feel good to see those butterflies fly around you.
We always make it point to book tickets in advance so that we can avoid standing in queue to get the tickets.
Outside the butterfly enclosure their is a kids play area which kids love.
It is segregated into three parts. First dome is where there are butterflies flying around, one can see the plants where they breed. Second dome is where there is detailed information on the butterflies and moths. It also has some real specimen and the information related. In third dome there is the larva, scorpio and grass hoppers.
You can sit there and see the video on butterflies in the theater hall. There was a small waterfall in there. And there is a water flow in the camp. There are lot of colorful fish in there. You can take your own photo in there.
Overall average place and once we can visit the place.

Visited this place in March.beautiful location but rare butterflies. May be because of the weather. Suggest visiting in spring season.

It's a large enclosed space where butterflies are left to fly and people can walk through this enclosed space. There are specimens stored and put on display to educate the visitors. There is a documentary movie about butterflies that is played.

Just beside safari and zoo.there is lots of different type of butterfly here they also have documentary to show to people about butterfly if you want to know about it. Good for knowledge and for great pictures also very peaceful and beautiful place there is caterpillars too as well as fish overall I had really fun here

I can say from mybottomoftheheart, it's the best for family and kids. Especially for photographer's to have a closer look at the butterflies. If you're not keen at noticing minute things & butterflies, you cannot enjoy this place but I promise you instead of rushing, just slow down and try to notice each and every part of the plants. Then you will surprise and will definitely feel it's worth visiting and also will praise the god for his beautiful creation.

As the name is butterfly park, we expected many varieties pf butterfly will be flying around. There were hardly few butterfly inside. Though one can get information of the types and their life cycle through the posters and videos casted inside

Not happy, there is no butterflies, it's just waste of time and money. We can see more butterflies in any local area parks in Bangalore.

Interior is good.but I hardly see any butterfly. You can butterfly outside more than inside. No drinking water inside also.management have to take care of this. Charging of 50/-rs for what? Overall zoo experience is good.

This is one of the first places I visited with my SLR camera to try out some macro photography. Come and get lost in butterfly park and find yourself intrigued and rejuvenated.

Beautiful place for kids and peace lovers. They have the breeding areas which can be visited to grab the knowledge on how and when caterpillars get transformed to butterflies.

Place is good and clean. Maintained very well. Almost crowded. There is a butterfly enclosure as well as knowledge room with LCD.

There wasn't so much to see but you can see beautiful flowers and artificial little pond kinda pit with koi fish and turtles

Excellent place. Please ensure you come here between 12-3pm on a sunny afternoon as the butterflies are most active when it's bright. The first part is the greenery with butterflies flying around (short walk), the 2nd part is the various species (including specimens) of butterflies. Neatly maintained. They even have a live video about the history of butterflies being played. A must visit if you come to the zoo.

A beautiful world of world of butterflies and colourful flowers️. Neatly maintained and peaceful. It also has an attached information centre that has preserved moths and butterflies. Kids must be taken here and inspired to grow plants at home so thatcan visit them

Different breeds of butterflies in their natural habitat (plants/ shrubs). And a well preserved library where everything is documented. Great learning experience. Kids will love it.

Not many Butterflies can be spotted. But the plants were nice. Also some good collection of preserved moths and butterflies.

Butterfly park located inside the banerghatta national park is beautifully designed from outside with a butterfly design gate entrance and well maintained park with many varieties of butterfly. If you reach early the BNP then you can visit this before safari as the safari starts at 10 and park gate will be open from 9 so you can utilize this 1 hr or 45 minutes time if you spend 15 minutes in buying tickets. If you opt for bus safari then butterfly park ticket is separate that is 20 or 30 rs I forgot, also separate for zoo. But if you opt for jeep safari everything is included 3000 for 6 seater non Ac.

Before entering the butterfly park I Felt butterfly park will be full of butterflies. But there are limited butterflies and of less types. The video session about butterflies is good. Kids got lot of information about butterflies. The meusium showcased multiple breeds of butterflies. Over all it is ok.

After the Zoo, don't forget to visit this place.
Have really good setup and a wonderful garden.
The butterflies are easy to notice and they also have a separate place for larvae breeding for public viewing.

Less quantity of butterflies. I was dreaming to watch groups of butterflies.but it was not that much. But good to teach students about life circles from egg to a butterfly.

I allready visited this before (3-4 year back) that time it is tooo beautiful and too many butterfly. But when i visited agan with hope but i am disappointed by seeing the present condition of butterfly park. It need many improvements. If u want to visit 1st time may be you like but it is now not as good as privous.

Excellent place! Staff displayed the live life cycle stages of the butterfly. Though the number of butterflies were less, it's worth to visit. This place is outside the zoo and safari compound. Can go directly without buying tickets for zoo and safari. Buy a separate ticket of 30 Rs for adult at the butterfly counter. Not at the main ticket counter. I visited on a Saturday and it was very crowded

Better than the zoo, it's compacter, easier to see all stuff and the installations/ boards at the end are informative. This too could be keep at a more pleasant temperature but it's way better than zoo. Also the staff are a bit more helpful by showing the larva/ cocoon etc

Located in bannerghatta national Park. This is one of its kind butterfly park, enclosed in a large dome kind of structure. It houses many varieties and many number of butterflies. It's entry is covered with good number of trees and variety of birds. You have an entry fee for this separately. You can see the butterflies in the natural habitat. Keep the surroundings clean and don't litter the place. It's a good place to visit for a one day outing combined with the national park safari.

We visited the butterfly park on Saturday. It was crowded due to holiday season. Unfortunately we could not see much butterfly. It looks like high numbers of visitors affecting. The park has relatively improved. Cleanliness is much better. They have restrooms but it requires better maintenance. Approach roads are in bad condition. Very difficult for elderly. It is not wheelchair friendly.

Waste of money. If you go to village you will find more butterflies than you see in this park. Hardly you will see 10 - 15 butterflies.

It is in the Banglore national park. It's a small walk. Ask for a guide. They give u allot of info but u need to tip them at end. Kids loved it

Very nice very rare place & educative. In the entrance the sayings of Rastrkavi Kuvempu ಯಾವ ದೇವಶಿಲ್ಪಯಿಂತು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊರೆದನು? ಯಾವ ಬಣ್ಣಗಾರನಿಂತು ರಂಗನೆರೆದನು? Atrract us. Everybody enjoy the colouful butterflies. A video displayed describing types and stages a butterfly passes through.

Good place to explore the never ending curiosity about butterflies. Plenty verieties of butterflies can be watched in a small protected area. If you want to teach your kids about butterflies and nature in general, never miss this place. Get down here after Safari of bannerghatta national park.

Butterfly Park is a part of the Bannerghatta National Park. You need to take a separate ticket to visit it. There is a big semi spherical glass house, with beautiful flowers and plants, which houses the butterflies within it.

Its a great photographic spot for nature lovers.

If you observe carefully, you can see the cocoons, larvae and pupa on the plants around.

There is also a small museum, which explains about varieties of butterflies and moths.

Dont forget to stand in front of the huge butterfly at the entrance and pose like one.

One has to walk a long distance from zoo to find out there is nothing exciting. We have seen hardly 10-20 common butterfly.

An unique experience to spend some time with a dreamy environment with lots and lots of butterflies around you.

Have seen better. Didn't get to see butterflies though have heard of people having better luck than ours.

The name says and gives an impression that there are a lot of butterflies.but then that is not right.you can learn a lot about Butterflies but you won't find a lot of living butterflies

It was nice. Variety of flowers and butterflies flying in between. Didn't see any new type but what ever we saw in our garden a there. Neatley maintained.
