A Fantastic Weekend at Campmonk, Bangalore

I recently visited Campmonk in Bangalore and had an absolutely amazing experience! Here's a quick summary of the fun activities we enjoyed during our stay:

Nature's Walk: Campmonk offers a variety of walking trails through the lush greenery, allowing us to explore the natural beauty of the area.

Kayaking: This was a first for many of us, and we had a blast stroking through the water, feeling the thrill of navigating the rapids.

Cycling: The camp provided bicycles for us to explore the property and nearby areas, adding an extra layer of adventure to our weekend getaway.

Live Music: On Saturday night, we enjoyed live music performances, adding a touch of entertainment to our stay.

The camp's hospitality was top-notch, and the staff were always there to help and ensure we had a fantastic experience. The accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained, making our stay enjoyable and relaxing.

Overall, Campmonk provided a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and entertainment, making it an ideal destination for a weekend trip with friends. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique and memorable camping experience in Bangalore!

It was place suggest by my daughter and when I reached Camp Monk I was thrilled and the peace' was unbelievable I am really impressed. Great. Staying in Camp Monk is awesome.

The place was very neat and well maintained.
It was different experience sleeping inside a tent. There a lake near by which was also clean.
The restrooms were in good condition, ample parking space and lots of games to play.
We had a campfire and night with some retro Bollywood songs.
It is a great place to visit with your pets.
Overall it was a peaceful and an amazing place to stay.
The price is a bit expensive even though they are providing complimentary breakfast.

We had a really lovely time during our short stay. The peaceful atmosphere around the lakeside was exactly what we were looking for. We had a nice bbq in the evening from marination we had brought on our own. (You can rent the bbq there for some price). And the morning kayake ride was icing on the cake. And Just an hour's drive away. Definitely a one I would recommend.

Awesome place with great view, not too far from the busy life of Bangalore, full of peace and serenity just an away from main city. The place is all about nature with a lake in its property and to top on, it's a pet friendly place where you can enjoy your getaway with your family and friends and pets from the hustle and bustle of Bangalore. It provides camping and kayaking and alot of games to play and ofcourse live musical night where you can sing and dance around the bonfire. A definite escape for weekends.

Place is isolated, calm and side of a lake. Safety, drinking water, toilet which makes the camping more convenient. We prepared our own food. We only paid for rent only, as we took our own tents.open space is good for kids to play. Can spend hours sitting besides the lake. Only thing is for the price, the breakfast was not great.was okay.toilets and the areas are cleaned and hygienic.staffs were coordinating well. Must go once for experience.

Loved the first time camping experience for my little one.the Kayaking at the lake, maggi noodles for lunch. Loved the food.we are definitely coming back again.

We visited Camp Monk, Banerghatta with family, including our 2 year old daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away from the city but not drive too far.

The property was very responsive to all our queries prior to check in and their replies were prompt. We had a few concerns traveling with a toddler and parents in their 70s but everything was super smooth.

Manju did a great job of managing the place and seeing to our needs while we
were checked in.

The food was good and ordering through their app was efficient.
The rooms are compact but comfortable and well maintained. They have everything you need including books for reading which I thought was a nice touch.

It’s a great experience for kids and a very child friendly place, in my opinion - don’t expect to have a dedicated play area with swings and slides etc.it’s just the mere fact of being out in the open and enjoying nature at its best (that’s what the property is truly about) The Banerghatta National Park is close by if you’d like to do a day acitivity with the kids.

Overall the property is well taken care of and absolutely beautiful! Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again!

Great place for camping. Following points should be noted before coming:

1. On weekends its really busy. Lots of people around. If you’re looking for peace, you might not get it.
2. If you opt for tent stay: there are only 4 washrooms available. 2 for ladies and 2 for gents. The only turn off for me was when multiple people use washrooms one after the other, the toilet tanks don’t fill water faster and the second person to go might not be able to flush the toilet. I saw this happening multiple times and people left it like that after use.it was really a turn off.
3. Food was really great when i paid for it. Sadly the complementary breakfast in the morning was not good and i could see bugs on the plates set for buffet. The quality of this breakfast was below average.
4. Even though their disclaimer asks people with pets to keep them on leash, i saw some people letting their dogs off the leash and they were running and barking all over the place. Nobody stopped them.

What i liked:
The lake, overall area is spacious, hospitality and friendliness of the staff.

Lovely experience. Very calm and serene. We stayed in the blue for two which was very well maintained. All the services were very affordable and the staff was very cooperative. We were able to book for activities very smoothly. Definitely a must visit to avoid the chaos of the city.

Camping for the sophisticated:). Large tents. Peaceful environment. Open grounds for byot. Their own tents and cabins are also good. Food is decent. You can bring your own meat/vegetables to do your own barbecue or fish. Location is great, close to town.

The concept & the remote location is pretty good but the experience was ruined on a crowded weekend with a few people partying late till 3 am & creating intolerable noise by verbal abuse after being drunk uncontrollably. Sadly I felt like I was hanging out in the NCR region. The only thing that bothered me was no one from the staff taking care of this nuisance which was impacting all the guests. They have a lot of signs of no noise after 10 pm but they really don't do anything about it.

Pros:
1. Sunset view of the lake.
2. Decent food arrangements we had all 3 meals and were okayish considering the location.

Cons:
1. Staff not very considerate in taking action for other guests comfort & experience. People literally parked their cars right next to the tent when there was a designated parking spot.
2. The sleeping mattress in the tent was quite uncomfortable.
3. A little more maintenance & cleaning of the facilities could enhance the experience.

At a perfect distance from the city. Just an hour drive and beautiful setting for a day out or a night stay. Had a very pleasant experience, kayaking was highlight for the kids. Lots of open space. Food was homely. And delicious. All day kitchen menu is also good. In all, one of the best options for an outing with kids and elders as there are options of tent as well as container homes. Will surely go back. Manju - the property manager - non interfering, to the point, always reachable. Thank you
Suggestions.:
1. Early morning tea and breakfast (it is available at 7.30am, can be made a Lil more early).
2. Badminton rackets need to be replaced (most of them are broken).
Cons: since there is a small town nearby, there is little bit of noise till late night as well as early morning (occasional vehicles and dogs bark).

Camp Monk were already pioneers in the camping space in India, but with Bannerghatta campsite, they have outdone themselves.
Perfectly placed next to a lake, they have a variety of camping options for the uninitiated to the experienced.
One of the few places, within an hour from the city, where you can still hear your own thoughts.

I am born and raised in Bangalore and last I have been to Banergata was 20years ago and never been to this side of the landscape. Camp monk has done great job to spot such an lovely place to remind me of my old Bangalore beauty! Genuinely great get away… well done camp monk!

One of the best place for friends, family, kids. Lots of space near a Lake and nice arrangements. Rooms out of a container is amazing and serves the purpose.
We 3 families with kids had a wonderfull barbeque evening and nice stay at their habitainers.
Most important is 100% online and hassle free checkin n check out.

I went to camp monk recently and i have to say it was one of the best decision. Our host was so kind enough to guide us properly to the place. The place was super clean and so was the lake what a great view when you come out of your tent. There is proper kayaking facilities that you could do.
And don't get me started on the food it was the best food you could have in an off beat place like this. They would properly set your candle light if any occasion.
There is a huge farm that they have set up in their backyard which you could explore with tall trees giving the vibe of horror movies.

You could also enjoy the bon fire with your loved ones at night while quenching yourself with a bottle of kamboocha. And on top of that the host has an amazing playlist of songs that you could use to dive into while you are having a nice view from the base camp.

If you are lucky enough you could get to meet one of the passionate musicians playing bollywood songs while you warm yourself around the fire. You would also find a pretty cat couple hanging around. She is so welcoming that she would sleep on your lap while you are enjoying your delicious food

I would definitely visit every month to take off my mind from all the hustle of corporate life and get my head straight.

Nice place for weekend getaway if you are close to South Bengaluru, stay prices are on the expensive side and doesn't include meals. Food was ok. Service was good. Evening view is great and close to a lake.

Excellent getaway close to the city. Loved the ambience.so in tune with nature! Very calming, relaxing and peaceful stay. Ample open areas to play games outdoors. Boating in lake is a lovely experience. Downside- a little heavy on the pocket as charges only cover lodging. Breakfast included but not ready before 8.30 am. Food is extra, boating is extra, rental of bar-b -que possible with premarinated paneer/ chicken. Limited menu available and could do better on flavours.

Awesome place to spend a day or 2 with family or friends.
Just a short drive from the Bangalore (approximately 1.5 hours drive) from city centre, the location is well connected by road, located amidst agricultural fields and a serene lake.
Check in was 12pm but we had lunch outide near JP Nagar and checked in late after 3pm. Soothing evening, just chilled around the beautiful lake watchin sunset and other guests Kayaking in the lake.
They have a small restaurant in one of the container type kitchen. One can order lunch, dinner, Beverages, snacks etc by scanning the QR code menu placed on the tables.
Food Options were decent. Breakfast was included along with the stay. Breakfast was just OKAY.we were provided with Poori, chutney, Potato stew, Semolina upma. Coffee/tea.
It gets hot after 11am, so it is better to carry Hats, umbrellas and some sun screen. You cannot play outside after 11am because of the hot weather but post 4pm it is pleasant to stroll around or play by the lake.
There are quite a few number of activities to keep everyone engaged. Overall a good camping/Glamping space around Bangalore

Campmonk is amazing, the place is amidst nature, it’s very clean and they have extremely friendly staff who are always helpful.

I did not thing I would ever go for a Camping since it did not seem within my comfort zone but the Glamping tents in Bannerghatta have changed my mind. They have comfortable twin beds inside and enough space that it doesn't feel cramped. And the restrooms were clean and well maintained which is one of my biggest pet peeves for Camping. Next time I am going to try Camping for sure!

Location - Close to the city, it was barely an hour drive for us. Nice lakeside view specially in the morning! Definitely would suggest to wake up really early to you can go for morning walk around the property & explore.

Food - Good simple hygienic food. They have a kitchen where you can order food from. Definitely try DIY BBQ in the eve along with Bonfire, its amazing experience!

Waste of time and money kind of place
Spend your money to suffer in a good location
They will charge you for a 5 star hotel (10.5k for a container) and ask you to expect a tent type service as it's a camp (Basically no service)
Mentioned self cooking available on website and they meant to bring in our own gas, vessels and every basic stuff required for cooking so can't even make Maggie midnight which is the minimalist thing you expect when they say self cooking available.
They are just charging a bomb to provide you ONLY STAY at their property with leakage issue inside the container floor.
Although the supervisor there tried his best so I don't post this but the services offered are not justified.

Managed by two very helpful people - Raj and Manju - this is a well-run camping ground with 4 different options to stay. Quiet, peaceful (though one still gets a cellular network there) and the opportunity to meet up with an eclectic bunch of like-minded people. Great for a relaxing weekend of doing nothing at all.
The food is not as amazing as one reads in a lot of reviews, strangely. Gives one the opportunity to carry some camping gear and try one's hand at rustling up some Maggi noodles.
The place is packed on weekends.
Entry without a confirmed booking is not allowed.
Highly recommended for solo travelers, couples, groups, children and pets.
